i feel dumb for asking this but I am not sure if this link is to the phone in this forum.
Is it?

It seems to me that this is the model for India with a SnapD 695(PEUX), the Global and Chinese models with the same name have an MTK Dimensity 920.
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G (veux)=Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G(peux).

Somehow I am even more confused after reading all the specs.
Is my best guess not to get this version of the phone if i plan on changing the OS?

What don't you understand?
I don't understand if the phone on the link will work with the ROMs here with the differences in GPU/CPU or if I should get something else.

So, that's what I get for going against my gut
The phone on the Link is not Veux or Peux
Apparently is Pissarropro
Can anyone tell me how screwed I am? Should I make something up to see if Amazon would let me return it? Or is there development for this phone somewhere?

It depends on your criteria, price, use, flash roms, carrier (country) etc..
about the same price as the one I am returning 350 or less,
Flash Roms like pixel experience, EvoX,
T-mobile, USA
It has to have Dual-sims
Take a look here then check out the device on XDA for AOSP roms.

I bought a Redmi Note 7 Pro Chinese ROM phone on eBay a few days ago and it's on the way. What I'm concerned about, and have tried to figure out, is whether this phone is going to have available bands that I can use. I've read different takes on this including someone from the Dallas/Fort Worth area who says he gets an LTE connection in most of the country (This is with the Redmi Note 7 Global Version). Others say it won't work. I live in Southern California in the United States and have an account currently with AT&T. I looked on Frequency Check and found some useful information. But I'm wondering if other people here are using their phone successfully in the United States and where they live and what carrier they're using.
And the other thing in regard to this I'm wondering about is whether the bands available on the Redmi Note 7 Pro Chinese ROM are the same bands available on the Redmi Note 7 Global Version. And also wondering if the Indian version is different as far as bands go.
I love the phone and have done a lot of research on the various features, but just want to make sure I can actually use it. And if it doesn't connect would swapping out the Chinese ROM for a Custom or Global ROM affect being able to find bands to connect to, or is this a hardware issue?
Thanks much for your help. Appreciated.
Hello, here you can find Redmi Note 7 global specs, including the supported bands. In case you meant Redmi Note 7 pro global version - that is actually an Indian version of the device, you can find the specs here. It supports fewer bands than the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 7 pro, you can find the specs here (the page is in Chinese). Now you just need to see if your carrier supports those frequencies and you are set. Regarding your question about usability of the phone; it is not as simple as swapping out roms. The hardware most likely supports many other bands but they are unavailable because Xiaomi decided to lock them out due to marketing strategy/licensing. Although there are many tutorials available on enabling different (locked out) bands on the phone, it requires editing NV memory which is not very easy to do and there is significant risk of bricking the device. Also i have never heard/read that someone actually succeeded on a Xiaomi/Redmi device.
Also, check this out. P.S. i don't live in US.

Thanks very much to both of you for your help and the info. I did some more research after my post here and found lots of useful info too. This link at Frequency Check was very useful. This is for the Redmi Note 7 Pro Chinese version. Once you're on the page click on "Check Country/Carrier Compatibility" and it takes you to several other pages that list all the available bands and network compatibility for each country and then for the different carriers in that country. It's really useful. I can't post direct links since I'm new but you can add the beginning info. frequencycheck.com/models/GpZRq/xiaomi-redmi-note-7-pro-dual-sim-td-lte-cn-128gb-m1901f7be-xiaomi-m1901f7b
Then I checked the same site for info on the Redmi Note 7 Global Version. frequencycheck.com/models/O8DW0/xiaomi-redmi-note-7-global-dual-sim-td-lte-128gb-m1901f7g-redmi-note-seven-xiaomi-lavender?c_id=1300548 And what I found is that in the U.S. the Global Version is way more compatible with a lot more bands available and better network connections than the Pro Version which is very restricted. This applies to worldwide bands too, but even with AT&T, who my account is with, in the U.S. the Global Version has 2 out of 4 bands available for LTE 4G while the Pro Version has 0 out of 4. Of course this depends too on where you're actually at physically at any given time. But I ended up buying a Redmi Note 7 Global Version on Amazon yesterday and it's arriving tomorrow. I'd rather have the Pro Version but not if it's severely restricted as far as network connections. It's too bad Xiaomi didn't release a Pro Global Version. When they announced this on Facebook I scolded them for not giving everyone a heads up about this earlier after months of promoting it. But as you mentioned they did note that this was due to their marketing strategy. I think they'll be coming out with new models soon that releasing a Pro Global Version may have undercut.
The Redmi Note 7 Global Version I bought is the 4GB RAM 128GB ROM version which is okay although I'd rather have 6GB of RAM. I saw that there is a 6GB RAM 64GB ROM Redmi Note 7 available but evidently not the Global Version. I think the one I bought will be okay. The camera with Gcam installed doesn't really seem all that different. And I'm not a heavy duty gamer so the better processor probably won't make that much difference to me personally.
The one I bought on eBay from China will get here in a couple of weeks probably and I'll have to decide whether to try it (which I may based on that last link you sent) or return it or resell it. That one was $283 and the one I bought yesterday was $240.
Also I saw that too about opening more bands and that process looks really sketchy as you noted. Thanks for sharing that. Don't need a bricked phone.
Thanks again.

Thanks. Yeah I saw that. But of course in relations to where you live it's not a matter of how many bands are in each one, but a matter of having ones that work on your network where you are. But if you travel a lot then the number available maybe would matter.
Just saw this comparing the bands available between the Redmi Note 7 Global Version and the Redmi Note 7 Pro China Version. Makes it easier to see at a glance. I'll try the Redmi Note 7 Pro Version I bought once it arrives from China and see how it does. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Why would you waste your time with either the Pro or the non Pro version? I mean, you live in the USA and they don't support most of the vital USA LTE bands? There are lots of phones out there that got great reviews that don't support LTE bands in the USA but I wouldn't waste my time with any of them. So why do you? I mean, the Pocophone is an amazing value, but it doesn't support USA LTE so I wouldn't touch it. Just curious about your thought process.

Actually if you look at the charts I linked to, the Redmi Note 7 Global Version I bought does have LTE bands available in the United States. And also, as I mentioned, there's a guy in the Dallas area that said his was working great connecting to LTE, and he travels too. It's the Pro Version that is restricted in this way. I didn't know about any of this until I did a lot of research. That's why I shared those links I did, to help everyone else easily see the realities of this in whatever country they're living in. And the realities if they travel. Again, here are the bands available in different countries for the Pro Version. frequencycheck.com/compatibility/GpZRq/xiaomi-redmi-note-7-pro-dual-sim-td-lte-cn-128gb-m1901f7be-xiaomi-m1901f7b/countries. And here are the bands available in different countries for the Global Version. frequencycheck.com/compatibility/O8DW0/xiaomi-redmi-note-7-global-dual-sim-td-lte-128gb-m1901f7g-redmi-note-seven-xiaomi-lavender/countries
I received my Redmi Note 7 Global Version I bought last night and it did make a strong LTE connection with all the bars up. Except for the fact the "Neptune Blue" was much more dark purple than I had seen over half way down the back, I'm very happy with the phone. I'll exchange it for a Space Black one. All the other features I tried so far worked great. With the only exception being it took a few for the video recording to start, which someone else mentioned too. I'm tempted to try the Pro Version I bought when it arrives. But I think that one does have band restrictions so I better not. I'll just return it unopened.
BTW I notice no one thanked me for any of my heavily researched very useful links I shared. No one seems to remember to say thank you these days. Something to consider in interacting with anyone.
Thanks for the research old sport

Hello
I bought Find X2 Pro 5G version from OPPO Malaysia, and ship it to Saudi Arabia. I tried to use 5G network but the device still on 4G.
I tried to check the differences between my device box and comparing it to other boxes from youtube videos, Guess what ? It's different !!
There is no 5G Logo, also there is no 5G Bands in the back of the box.

I contacted with OPPO Global and OPPO Malaysia asking them about my device .. is it support 5G or not ?
Responses
1- OPPO Global : "5G network can only be enjoyed if available in your region. Kindly contact your Mobile Operator (MO) to confirm if 5G is available."
2- OPPO Malaysia: "Hi, Regarding to your question, due to Malaysia is not support 5G yet, the system is not update now, they will be update after Malaysia is available for 5G"
3- OPPO Global : "Regarding your concern, please be advised that it is our OPPO Malaysia team who could assist you with your concern and since you already contacted them and was advised that you need to wait for the 5G to be activated in Malaysia first, please stay tuned on their website for further updates.
Kindly be reminded that the phone was designed to be used in Malaysia thus it supports the current networks that are available there."
So I think I have to wait for couple of months until 5G activation in Malaysia . :cyclops:
I'm in the exact same boat bro. I ordered mine from Thailand though, same box and everything. We just have to wait for the updates, all the Pros have 5G that's a fact, I think, lol. They told me wait until June 10th for the update in Thailand. If you find anything else out please update and I will too.

Stop posting about something you have 0 idea, you are completely clueless. Looks like you don't even know what eSIM is. eSIM is not something you put into your smartphone. It already is embedded in supported smartphones and then you just activate it.
What you linked is some stupid conversion kit.

You will not get eSIM to work on X3 Pro, stop wasting your time and mislead other people.
eSIM is not only unsupported by MIUI / Custom ROM's (no UI to even try using it) and even after implementing it in firmware will not be able to register into SIM carrier network if your phone is not officially supported by them.

I've pre-ordered the OnePlus 10t, but having second thought based on the development / custom rom support currently for the OnePlus 10 Pro. I fear the same will happen with the OP 10T.
As a second option, I might opt for the OnePlus 9 instead. Lots of support and mods are already available.
I would want the 256GB/12GB RAM variant, but having trouble determining which models are allocated to specific regions.
I am located in the USA using AT&T service.
Can someone confirm if there is a OP9 256GB/12GB model that can work with AT&T ?
Thanks!
It will work fine, however it isn't on AT&T's supported 5g list, meaning just 4g service. LE2115 is the unlocked NA variant.

Nope, it won't work. The LE2115 is the only model whitelisted and it only comes in 8/128. AT&T does IMEI sweeps and boots incompatible devices.

OP would need to get the 9 Pro direct from OnePlus if they want 12/256 and AT&T compatibility.
Incidentally though, the 9 Pro is the better choice for development, as most of the devs and builders have the 9 Pro. Plenty of ROMs we can't get on the 9 side.

For the record, I may be wrong about the 10T. I didn't see it in AT&T's whitelist but OnePlus' website even shows it certified for 5G, a first for OnePlus phones on AT&T.
The thing is, until it gets added to the whitelist, which may not happen right away, you risk getting a boot from the network for using it.
Still using T-Mo's unlocked 9 on AT&T just fine.
My original TMobile op9pro swapped to the unlocked version works with 5G perfectly on the AT&t network all I did was put my SIM card in after I unlock my t-mobile version and updated it to Android 13 with the le2125 software

Just went to attack from tmo. Just updated to 13 before also. Only get 4g here. Maybe it's an apn?
Im sending my unlocked 7 Pro back in to be replaced due to faulty camera hardware and Google is trying to replace it with the Fi version, which doesnt have mmWave bands. Despite the info on their website, support is insisting the Fi version does have mmWave bands. I bought model GE2AE, and I think Fi is GP4BC.
TIA

To Google's credit, I thought all factory-unlocked Google Pixel 7 Pros are GE2AE (and was similar for previous Pixels), but I'm not actually knowledgeable about Fi from my own experience.

My P7 Pro from Fi is GE2AE. Purchased from fi.google.com, it arrived with a Fi eSIM on board.

There are 2 different model numbers listed in specs. Both have sub6 bands, but only one model, GE2AE, had sub6 and mmWave

There's also a model #GP4BC, an unlocked pro version, listed in the Google store website, that doesnt have mmWave bands. And the specs for the 7Pro Fi version does not show mmWave bands in their specs either

I'm aware of the other model. I've just always been told that the Fi Pixels were the factory unlocked model, and I was also always under the impression that the factory unlocked model is always the "more capable" hardware version. I could be wrong, like I said, just what I was always led to believe.
I bought the unlocked version on the Google Store but Google sent me the Fi version. It shouldn't matter and have all the bands etc. 512 GB Obsidian GE2AE.
I got a Fi version as I'm on Fi. Model GE2AE
