Samsung galaxy s10e ( exynos ) - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

Hi, I tried to install twrp over Magisk ( patched ) FAILED over odin
THen I tried to downgrade to Android 11 over odin ( downloaded the firmware and tried to install over ODIN - failed.
USB debugging is enabled, OEM enabled, Unlocked bootloader
And what ever i do over odin 3.14 I am Failing .
Can any1 help/ TNX

Since the binary version changed when the S10e was updated to 12, you can't downgrade to 11. I can't help with the Magisk issue as I don't have mine right now but I hope you find a fix for it

Downgrade Android 8 to 7 - Binary 3?

Hello,
I am attempting to downgrade from Android 8 to 7 on Galaxy S7. When I attempt to flash the old firmware I get the error 'Device 3 - Binary 2'. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this yet?

Odin will not let you flashback to a previous boot loader version, you have to do it through TWRP. So either flash the nougat firmware with TWRP first or any nougat based rom, then flash nougat via odin which will remove root and TWRP.

Are there any instructions for this?
Will secure apps (Banking etc) work again after removing root?
I was under the impression you could via Odin if OEM unlock was enabled, without needing TWRP or root. https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-downgrade-android-oreo-8-0-t3821495
edit: As for banking, if you go root then flash back to stock you should have no issues. Even if you stay root, things like Magisk will hide root status from apps and pass safetynet. Your biggest issue would be the loss of Knox, which voids warranty and breaks some Samsung apps.

It is not possible as per some of the replies to that thread. I spent a few hours playing TWRP yesterday and it was not possible either.

Ok so listen, it can be done as i said but it's not easy. The choice you have of course before attempting this is to just install a android 7 custom ROM? many nougat ROMs are just stock with the bloatware removed and the boot-loader version isn't checked during flash.
Here's another way to go back, i can't guarantee it will work though i haven't tried it on an S7.
Downgrade to an older firmware with an older bootloader even if one keeps the newer bootloader on his device.
So what's how's it done?
Download the firmware file (.tar) which you want to downgrade to and open it with an archiver application (7zip). Extracts all the files to a folder and repacks them again in a .tar file but leaving every file out which ends in .bin (e.g. sboot.bin etc.). This .tar file can now be flashed like any other firmware file via Odin and it should run through it without any problems.
Hope this helps.

Root S7/ S7 Edge & Unroot Easy (Updated: 02/09/2020)

This is an updated root and unroot method for the s7/s7 edge.
I updated the zip file with the latest eng boot
Uploaded the latest stock files
Credit: https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-s7-edge/how-to/root-s7-s7edge-oreo-nougat-t3819616
Use V10 Odin Files this will allow you to root the s7/s7 sdge on the latest firmware. (02/09/2020)
Directions:
This works for Oreo And Nougat Roms
As always there is a chance of bricking your phone
1. Download and extract S7_Oreo_Nougat_Adb_Advanced_Root.zip
2. Reboot your phone to download mode
3. Inside the S7_Oreo_Nougat_Adb_Advanced_Root folder you will find an Odin_Firmware folder. Use Odin and flash the Eng Boot Image for your
phone
4. Once phone is rebooted and connected to computer click on the cmd-here.exe and type root.bat in the command window and hit enter
5. Follow directions on the command window
6. You can only use system root on Oreo
7. Once root is done and root bat closes leave your phone alone for a few minutes it may reboot a couple of times
8. Sprint Users This should work for you as well just let me know if your phone reboots with eng boot.img installed like it did on nougat while try too run the root.bat. I may need to change some things
9. With this system root do not update su binary if in anyway you get something asking you to update binaries ignore it. You can also disable notifications about updating binaries. This will not affect su app
10. Don't flash any superuser zips in recovery that are not made by me
S7 Oreo Nougat Adb Advanced Root V13: https://archive.org/download/s7oreo...Nougat_Adb_Advanced_Root_V13 (02-08-2020).zip
Return to stock:
Open odin
Reboot in download mode
Apply files
Plus in device
Flash to device

Thank you. Followed the straight forward steps and got mine done perfectly on v10_BL. I even flashed stock and did it again just to be sure. I very much appreciate your work.

I'm on version G930PVPSBCTA1 and none of the odin files would flash. Fails immediately when flashing. Am I doing something wrong?

A couple of things i can see but will need more information
The SW Rev check error is your trying to flash older firmware than what is on your phone. Use latest firmware.
If you have OEM unlocked but KG/RMM state in prenorrnal state then you can't flash.
From your screen shot of odin, you phone is not connected. Near the top left there a box with ID:Com should show up as being connected.
Also use the latest twrp from twrp website.

Due to bootloader version numbers you can not downgrade your device only upgrade. Bootloader is the 5th number/letter from the right of the firmware name you are downloading.
KG/RMM state can be checked in download mode.
prenorrnal - can't flash ( you can only flash stock samsung firmware )
checking/not there - you can flash
Edit:
If RMM is prenormal you can't flash. you can try the date method to see if help this changes the state.
There are many guides on this method some are slightly different

Downgrading G611F to a lower bootloader

Hello, i was trying to downgrade my phone from OneUI (Android 9) to samsung experience (Android 7) on G611F because latest version makes the device too slow for me and also i like samsung experience more than OneUI but seems that even when bootloader is unlocked it can't be downgraded from S3 to U1 and i face sw rev. check fail (bootloader) device 3, binary 1 error.. unfortunately trying to flash without BL gives same error with kernel (boot image).. is there any workaround to get this working? The bootloader already unlocked and i don't bother tripping knox or use custom recovery to flash stock old rom but i don't know if that would work or will give me same error during boot with kernel and other partitions.. also i'm worried about using a custom recovery to flash BL and downgrade bootloader by writting the old one directly to the proper partition with dd in terminal as i don't know if doing this will hard brick the device or not..
Is there any way i can use to downgrade to stock samsung experience rom?..
Thanks!
Same question sir...?
