We are very excited to announce Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with beautiful wallpapers from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Our builds are based on the Code Linaro Organization Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

We kindly ask all of you that are in a position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

I just come from global MIUI 13. Battery drains unusually fast, before it lasted a full day. On this rom I barely made it half a day. Happened too on PE13. Am I missing something?

Battery life is ALWAYS bad 2-5 days after flashing a new ROM and 1-2 Charging cycles.
Test it after a week.

Greets, thanks for this great ROM I have a question: it supports KCal to calibrate screen?
ota way no work
Does Google Restore work? QPR2 update apparently made Google restore failed on Setup Wizard.
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network during initial setup doesn't work well in latest build. You can enter the Wi-Fi password but nothing happens. So I couldn't clean flash as I want to. I had to flash the previous version and dirty flash the latest one just to get pass the initial setup
I installed last version Topaz 1.1 and that's what I found:
- Wifi password putting doesn't work on Setup Wizard, mobile data works but Google restore don't work. Entering after the setup finalized on Google setup also don't work with WiFi, unique way to work is put the password on Setting/WiFi (on Topaz 1 works WiFi password putting)
- Second SIM Card can't be disabled and I know depends region maybe a incomplete or different implementation of radio/network on ROM, one of my SIM show without signal but the carrier names appear.
- Change wallpaper option in Android Setup/Google setup/ Setup Wizard doesn't show nothing when touch it but in Setting/wallpaper it's possible to modify that part.
All the other stuff works good I'm going to keep testing and let the comments later

Yo can skip the initial setup by the skip down option directly without doing that or do with mobile data, Google restore account backup is working on yours?

Haha...was expecting such a question...Don't worry, not a rookie in these stuff......we have testers when we do not own a device...have a peek here: http://stats.mfunz.com) ...we might not have testers for this device, but certainly a strong user base for the other moto_msm8960 devices...
Nice to see Mokee on Photon Q. I like the lunar calendar feature on lockscreen. Will definitely give it a try. Thanks for sharing it here.
Really nice Rom ;]
The Multiwindow is great, but like all roms above 4.1.1 the lapdock not work :/
Latest update
I'm using Mokee ROM almost since the first release and totally satisfied with it.Thanks for everyone who cooperated on it!
Today I've tried to update my current release version (20140630) to the latest available (20140801) but I couldn't install it. It states that Photon Q (asanti) not supported any more. I checked the package and realized that our device is excluded from supported list.
Is there any chance that we will get updates for this awesome Mokee ROM in the near future?

Look for the new msm8960_jbbl device. Support dropped due to cm only supporting the new kk bootloader but now they've re-introduced support for the jb bootloader and so the photon Q is supported again.
Just tried to upgrade from 140630 to 140816 using the complete ROM zip file
however, it gives the error message: This package is for "moto_msm8960,xt907,scorpion_mini,smq,xt926,vanquish" devices; this is a "asanti_c".
Is that support dropped for Photon Q?

Assuming they are following CM's device trees, after July 1st the moto_msm8960 builds will NOT work for the Photon Q.
Some testing
I downloaded the jbbl version (from here) and I am going to test a few things, most notably:
if the USB debugging feature can never be enabled again after disabling it once (had this issue with many 4.4-based ROMS)
if GPS works or not
if debugging logs are left enabled (e.g. all keystrokes/taps are recorded in a log file, although it should be disabled in the released ROM)
if it asks for device pairing confirmation when using ADB (this should be default on all 4.4 ROMS)
keyboard backlight (if stays ON forever)
stability (e.g. no random reboots)
I am also able to compile a ROM, so maybe I will give it a try one of these days, and I am definitively willing to help more with testing and hunting bugs (if somebody enables me to)
Thanks again for all the efforts guys!
With the release of the HISTORY version, development for MK44.4 has finally ended. A new thread for MK50.2 will be coming soon provided if the device is supported Check here to see if device is supported; if not, no ETA's please.
i installed mokee rom 5.0.2 and can find the great split view feature there.
its not supported for now?
I went thru HELL getting this ROM to install and what happens? No Wifi :/....
i used the newer Version (5.1.1) for a while and there was no problems.
Guys, I'm just sharing this topic to continue to maintain organization and posture of our forum, this rom is the MokeeOS which was shared by our friend --- in general forum Moto G Falcon (thanks)

What is the difference?
RELEASE: Tested after integrating new features, more stable than NIGHTLY. (Odexed builds)
NIGHTLY: Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs. (Deodexded builds)
HISTORY: Final odexded builds once a newer Android version is out and being built.
EXPERIMENTAL: Released when a new device is added or when a new feature is added for public beta testing and feedback. (Deodexded builds)
UNOFFICIAL: Maintained separately by individual developers, usually involves modification of shared code which cannot be merged (affects other devices), therefore maintained by the developer himself.
Note: We always test the shared code for bugs, however sometimes we may not be able to detect device specific bugs. If you have such issues, it will be better to report to the device maintainer.

you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 7.1.x
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go on to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:

for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation

Great to see mokee come on 7.1 for this phone!!
Will try out this ROM on my falcon.
Thank you!
Definitely I will try it, I'm a huge fan of Mokee ROM. Thx for sharing!!!!
I see a lot lot of development and dedicated hard worker devs working on falcon, never saw such development on many popular/high end/ flagship phone.
seems, our falcon is a super set and I don't wanna switch to another phone.
take love from falcon.
Rom is smooth and awesome but, there are some bugs or feature missing.
1. battery icons in status bar not changing for landscape or circle.
2. need a setting to permanently place the network meter in status bar if you can.
3. recents screen doesn't show the amount of ram used.
4. rom uses more ram than marshmallow(just my observation) even without installing any apps.
5. a little lag sometimes.
6. a way to change the theme??

For the sake of development, I appreciate your report ... But ram is something that you can not question yet since more features can be used.
On topics will have to wait a little longer for cyanogenmod sources.
The same in the battery icons issue.

How to download mokee gapps from mokee centre?
Good ROM
Very Good ROM, but a swap of 255 MB is no longer enough for Falcon running Android 7, and even with android 6 you could notice the lack of memory to run applications like Facebook etc. I would like them to increase the size of the Swap.
Hi guys, I can't install Mokee on my xt1032. I get error 6. I don't know why. I have twrp 3.2.1-0 how can I fix it?

halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 7 (Nougat) over halogenOS 6 (Marshmallow)
without any problems. Although we can't promise that it will work for you,
we can tell you that this has been tested. In fact, @xdvs23 did a dirty flash of
XOS 7 over XOS 6 and has no problems.
If you get app crashes after dirty flashing over XOS 6 or another ROM, please just
clear the app data of those apps, and it should work fine then.
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?

We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.

contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.

Common stuff
The ROM is super stable as of now and we'll maintain a clean and proper ROM.
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Highlights (some are OP3-only):
No QS Bug!!!
OTA
Reworked Lockscreen Visualizer
New implementation of button backlight
Modern Services -> Google Assistant etc.
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
KCal support
Kernel optimizations
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Offline Gestures support (super fast recoginition)
Alert Slider
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
Less Customization
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
How to install the ROM for the first time:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Wipe system, data and cache (If you want to try a dirty flash, dont wipe anything)
Flash the ROM
Flash gapps if you want
Reboot
Screenshots
Currently right now, halogenOS will only include the stock Android theme.
We are going to use a custom theme as soon as that theme is working perfectly fine.

What kind of camera and the picture quality is, I can not right now install and try for yourself.
This looks very promising and I will be trying it out today. My problem with almost all Nougat ROMs is there's always something that's not quite perfect or reliable (I'm used to Sultan's reliable everything, particularly battery life).
Hopefully this can give me that! Coming from VertexOS.
Nice to see another CAF ROM on here, wish you the best.
Is sdcardfs disabled? Its known to cause issues.
Finally, i love your rom on op2 and now you do a version for op3
Much love to the XOS family!
Can not set apn. Please fix this soon.

Does this foment have OOS camera blobs and OOS camera app?
The OnePlus3 build has had to be pulled down temporarily due to regressions which went unnoticed during testing. A new build will soon be made available

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

As for the video recording, it was ported from the Android R Beta Source, so it's bound to have some issues.
The Team is working on fixing these.
And all the users will receive OTA!
Cheers!
Is it going to use pie audio blobs and will have vendor inbuilt in the rom package in next update.?

My phone stuck in bootloop. I did the step like instruction. But in telegram it says to flash vendor after rom while here the opposite. I'm using latest OFRP btw.
Wiped data+cache+dalvik from Crdroid 6.4, magisk 20.3 works (19.3 bootlooped) and passes safetynet.
Found a bug.
Wfd service keeps crashing while trying to connect to wireless display.

Hello! I'm testing the ROM, very aesthetically pleasing and so far pretty stable, do you consider adding in the future these following options?
- Classic notification ticker on the statusbar
- Option to hide statusbar only on lockscreen
- Clear All button for the recents page
Thanks in advance
Verizon compatibility?
Got bored and flashed... Verizon works. Calls, texts, and LTE + are a go!
Are you guys Flashing this ROM using TWRP? I didn't even think that was a thing, any longer especially with A12 Roms. But since the Install instructions. Say wipe using the YES command as Step one it must be recommending TRWP as opposed to sideloading with another recovery in fastboot. Any particular TWRP recommended it's been a long time since I have used TWRP?
Anyone that is already using this care to check if the status bar clock customization include the option to make the date show as an example: Sat Jun 11? I have been searching for a ROM that will do this for months since my favorite ROM was discontinued and my current one is great but missing this one feature.

1. No TWRP for me. Extracted boot.img, flashed, restarted in recovery mode and adb sideloaded the rom.
2. Yes, it is possible to show the date, and you can choose between a lot of formats.

Thanks again for your help in getting this ROM up and running I really appreciate it.
To the developers Kudos on this it is perfect in my book. Ever since A12 I have not been able to find a ROM that checked all the boxes until now this now has them all, much appreciated.
So happy to finally have the status bar date option back and at least for me this is the first A12 ROM where I can get nice Dark colors using the Monet engine, it has been driving me crazy for months that I always had to settle for these crappy pastels. I never thought I was going to be truly satisfied with and Android 12 design until now. Thanks guys.

You can use twrp without any issue, work 100% and more fast without using PC, remember tò disabile PIN/password of you want update cause twrp can't read internal strage of encrypted.
Would it be possible to add adjust brightness from the statusbar and have the volume key shortcuts (skip track and keyboard cursor control) in a future update?
