Factory Firmware
Restoration /
Unbricking Guide
OVERVIEW
ThIs guide will outline detailed instructions for restoring the factory firmware on the Hot Pepper Chilaca (HPP-L60A) smartphone. This procedure can be used to unbrick your device, recover from a persistent boot loop, resolve issues involving corrupt firmware, or simply revert a modified device to its stock factory state.
PREREQUISITES
A PC or laptop running Windows 7/8.1/10/11
A reliable internet connection to download the provided files
The factory supplied, or a quality equivalent, USB-A to USB-C data syncing/charging cable
The MediaTek vCOM drivers will need to be installed on your PC or laptop (link to installation guide is provided in downloads section)
DISCLAIMER
While any procedure involving the flashing of a mobile device's partitions is inherently risky, these risks are somewhat diminished by the fact that many of the members using this guide already have an inoperable or malfunctioning device. Nevertheless, by proceeding further, you are assuming sole responsibility for the operability and integrity of your smartphone, thus absolving me of any liability in the event things go bad. Follow the instructions carefully, employ some patience, and things should go smoothly. I would strongly encourage inexperienced members to read this guide in its entirety, prior to beginning the instructions.
BOOTLOADER STATE
It should be noted that this guide will suffice to restore your device regardless of whether your bootloader is in a locked or unlocked state.
If your bootloader is in an unlocked state at the time you commence with this guide, the flashing method outlined in the instructions will not relock your bootloader.
Lastly, OTA updates do not check the state of the bootloader prior to installation. Hence, even in an unlocked state, OTA updates will install normally.

INSTRUCTIONS
Due to the secure boot feature of the Chilaca, the SP Flash Tool will not flash factory firmware unless the user provides a secure authentication (SecAuth) file in conjunction with the firmware package. Thanks to a brilliant group of developers, however, there is an exploit to disable the secure boot feature on your Chilaca, thus fully bypassing the DA/SLA security check performed by SP Flash Tool. This will enable the factory firmware to be flashed without an authorization file loaded into SP Flash Tool.
Before we begin, if you have not yet installed the MediaTek vCOM drivers on your Windows computer, visit the link provided in the downloads section below and complete that task.
Download the SecAuth bypass utility from the below link and extract the archived file to an empty folder on your computer's desktop
Right click mtksecbypass.exe and run it as an administrator
Click the Disable Secure Boot tab in the tool's interface. Next, connect the USB-A end of your data syncing cable to your PC or laptop
Ensuring that your Chilaca is in a powered off state, press and hold the Volume +, Volume -, and Power keys simultaneously while then connecting the USB-C end of the cable to your smartphone. Do not release the three hardware keys until you are notified that secure boot has been successfully disabled. Disconnect the USB-C end of the cable from your phone and ensure it remains powered off. Leave the cable connected to your computer
Next, download SP Flash Tool from the below link and extract the contents of the archived file to an empty folder on your desktop.
Download the HPP-L60A firmware package from the below link and extract the contents of the file to an empty folder on your desktop
In the SP Flash Tool folder, right click flash_tool.exe and run it as an administrator.
Click the tab corresponding with the Scatter Loading File box in the SP Flash Tool interface. Windows File Explorer will be launched. Now navigate to the folder wherein you extracted the firmware file. Select MT6761_Android_scatter.txt then click Open
A violet progress bar at the bottom of SP Flash Tool will indicate the loading of the firmware package. Once loaded, click the Download tab. Next, without pressing any hardware buttons, connect the USB-C end of the cable to your Chilaca.
If the MediaTek vCOM drivers are properly configured on your computer, your smartphone will be recognized by SP Flash Tool and the firmware restoration process will begin. A progress bar at the bottom of the flash tool interface will reflect the status of the installation
Once flashing is complete, SP Flash Tool will indicate that the installation was successful. Now simply power on your smartphone and allow the device to boot.
Your Chilaca should now be restored to its stock factory state and running on firmware build HPP-L60A-3.0.18. Because this build is not the most recent, upon reboot and completion of initial setup, you will be prompted to install one or more OTA updates.DOWNLOADS

Luckily you can't really hard brick a MediaTek device. The BROM protocol will almost always provide a backdoor for restoring the firmware. And I'm not saying that to downplay your bricked device by any means. It certainly sucks to be bricked -- regardless of the hierarchial state. Although, I'm not familiar with the SP Flash Tool (0xC0050005) error you referenced. But I will research your issue and see if I can help you get restored.

Factory Firmware
Restoration Guide
OVERVIEW
There are a number of methods that can be used to restore the factory firmware on the Lenovo Tab3 8. The method used in this guide is undoubtedly the simplest, quickest and most efficient. We will be using the Lenovo-Moto Rescue & Smart Assistant (RSA). The RSA is a Windows-based proprietary software suite and factory firmware restoration solution, developed and released by the Lenovo/Motorola Mobility conglomerate. This PC client software can be used to restore virtually any smartphone, tablet or smart device manufactured by Lenovo or Motorola over the past several years. The RSA installs and configures the latest USB device drivers on your PC or laptop, matches your device with the most current official firmware available, downloads the firmware package, and then uses a chipset-based flashing protocol to install the firmware. An invaluable feature of RSA is its ability to flash the Tab3 8 from a powered-off state (BROM mode) on tablets that are bricked and thus incapable of booting into the Android OS, fastboot mode, or recovery mode.
COMPATIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
The RSA software will run on Windows 7, 8.1, 10 or 11 (64-bit). Lenovo lists a minimum CPU speed of 2 GHz and a minimum of 2 GB RAM to ensure RSA compatibility on your PC or laptop.
You will need a reliable internet connection to use RSA, an active Lenovo user account (free & quick to set up), and the factory supplied or a quality equivalent USB-A to micro USB syncing/charging cable.
This guide can be used for firmware restoration of either the WiFi-only model (TB3-850F) or the 4G-LTE supported model (TB3-850M) of the Lenovo Tab3 8.
RSA INSTALLATION & SETUP
Download the RSA software client from the link provided below onto your Windows PC or laptop. Double click the .exe installer and follow all prompts to install the RSA software. During the installation, the RSA software will also install the latest USB device drivers on your computer. Upon the initial launch of the RSA client, you will first be be prompted to agree with the terms of use and the privacy policy. Check the appropriate box and click Continue. Next, you will be prompted to sign in to your Lenovo account. Go ahead and create a new account if you do not already have one. It's completely free and only takes a moment to create. INSTRUCTIONS
Once signed in to your Lenovo account, the RSA software will open to the main screen. Click on the Rescue tab located in the upper-left of the interface
Next, click the Tablet option. You will now be prompted to submit your tablet serial number so that the client can locate the correct firmware for your model. To skip this, click the option titled How to find SN?, then click the arrow on the far right titled More
Next, click the option titled Manual Selection located in the lower-right of the window
Now you will be prompted to Select the name & model of your device. In the upper box, use the pulldown menu and select Lenovo Tab3 8 from the list of devices
In the lower box, use the pulldown menu and select either TB3-850F (if you have the WiFi-only model) or TB3-850M (if you have the 4G-LTE supported model)
The RSA will now list the most current firmware build available from Lenovo's software support servers. This will be listed as the Target Firmware
After ensuring that the target firmware listed matches your device model, click the orange Download tab
The RSA software will now download the firmware package and sone additional software components needed to flash your device. Ensure that your tablet is in a powered off state
Once the files are downloaded, click the Start Rescue tab. Follow the on-screen prompts for instructions on connecting/disconnecting the tablet to/from your computer
The restoration process generally takes just over five minutes to compete. Once the RSA client provides a restoration complete notification, simply power up your tablet like normal
That's it. Your Lenovo Tab3 8 should now be reverted to its unmodified stock state and running on the most current factory firmware build.

Hi Guys,
I'm super new to the whole topic and am only doing this because I have a spare smartphone and wanted to learn something.
The bootloader is unlocked.
The USB drivers are installed on the PC.
USB Debugging is turned on.
Smartphone states "Orange State [...]" while booting.
Then I tried to extract the boot.img via the "MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.5.3" to flash this later with Magisk. But here I got the following error message:
Spoiler: MTK Error
The same messages have been there before I did anything on the smartphone for the first time.
From DE to ENG:
--->>> Connect to device <<<---
--- ERROR: --- TotalBytesPerChunk Not Found. Set default Page/Spare=2048/64 !!!--- unknown ROM structure, backup NOT possible!ATTENTION! a file (/system/recovery-from-boot.p) which restores the stock recovery in case of normal phone startup was found!
So I flashed a stock rom here from

to the phone via the SP Flash Tool (because I did something that enabled the first Boot Loop), the phone restarts in factory state succesfully, I set it up once and then installed Magisk, and using Magisk patched the boot.img of the from I downloaded.
However, when I now want to flash it via the flash tool, this error message appears:
Spoiler: Flash Tool Error
And suddenly I am in boot loop. As soon as I flash the original boot.img, the phone starts as usual.
I have also tried the whole thing via TWRP, and as soon as I install Magisk.zip via the TWRP the boot loop angers me again. Also MTK still shows the same error.
Spoiler: I have followed the following instructions:

I'm happy about anything that helps me out getting this phone rooted
Sorry my friend that noone has yet to have replied to your inquiry here. Ill do my best to give you some of the knowledge I have when it comes to setting you in the right direction without failure next time. Today and for the last month or so I have been working hard with the Umidigi a7 pro 64gb. To be clear are you making sure to flash the magisk zip file of the boot.img file that you saved from the stock firmware. You shouldn't have to fiddle around with to many of the settings just when you do flash the patched file you have to make sure to uncheck everything other then boot.img patched file. I am very new to this as well and honestly it's a tricky process to get it ever done right on your first attempt. You seem to have and know enough knowledge on this topic. MTK is a finnacky processor. I myself have yet to get this device fully rooted yet. The issue I myself have is my PC is not properly updating the MTK and other drivers to make the magic happen which I think I am just going to have to get my other dell going again to try on a fresh PC that I just set up again for this exact thing. To my most recent knowledge though when it comes to the Umidigi a7 pro you have to follow each and every step closely and to a exact precise t or the whole operation will fail every time you try. Are you using your micro SD card to it's full potential and making sure that you saved the patched file properly. You also have to watch for corrupt files when it comes to this kind of thing. But you know enough to just trust the pages you are downloading your files from and make sure everything is signed and legit. Another thing is what seemed to help me is removing SP flash tool completely from my PC. Then re downloading it and starting from scratch by flashing your stock scatter file and I find when flashing hold the power button when it starts for just a few seconds only some people think to keep holding the power button through the entire flash process but to my knowledge what has worked from a noobs perspective is hold power for just a few seconds until the full load of the red bar comes and then when it goes away you can let go of power button and it will continue on with the rest of the manual installment process. There are a lot of high technical highs and lowes when it comes to what you can do here and from the info I've gotten MTK devices weren't really meant to be able to withstand even being remotely compatible devices for root. Honestly let me know how things are going lately for you as I know this post is a bit old. I myself have came close to periodically throwing this phone as far out of the window as it can reach, I'm not a quitter by any means and still today and even right now m working on that to try to help others in any way i possibly can and today I will get this device into full root accesss.

Guide to Test Android 13 DP1 (lvm600am)

This restore process is intended for the AT&T V60 (lmv600am) model and will most likely WIPE your data so back it up if you want to keep it!
This process will restore the lmv600am to Pixel P4a a13 dp1. I’ve dumped all the required partitions from my lmv600am which has been running this rom for about a week now. I have yet to find any problem at all. To me it seems smooth and fast. This process uses the Qfil utility and assumes you already have a working knowledge of Qfil and that you have already installed it on your Windows PC. If you don’t have that knowledge start reading. The internet is full of Qfil guides.
You can’t damage or fix your existing imei relevant partitions from this restore because they aren’t included in this download.
You are responsible for backing up your existing phone partitions. I’m not liable for you using my work product and you do so at your own risk. If you’re unsure of what you’re doing then read more about Qfil and what is does. Again, if you are a newby go slow. Taking your time will save you a lot of aggravation.
This process will not fix your erased or damage imei number problem. There are process out there for that but they are usually reserved for people with an expert level of knowledge on the subject.
This guide is for anyone who’s presently wanting to try Google’ new Android a13 dp1 release. I have only this when my phone was already on an Android 11 rom. That’s not to say it won’t work coming from an Android 10 rom but I haven’t tried it.
I strongly suggest that you run the “reset option” option from Settings>System>. This will completely reformat and wipe your userdata when completed. No need to go thru the setup process just put phone in edl (9008) mode.
Steps
Download “Lmv600am a13 dp1 P4a Restore Partitions.7z” file from here and unzip. Remember the unzipped restore directory path.
Plug your phone into PC with USB cable and put you phone in EDL (9008) mode. Again, there are guides on how to do this everywhere.
Start Qfil and select the port of your phone’ connection. (See Windows device manager)
Select the v60 firehose (.elf) which is included in the unzipped directory.
Select storage type = ulf which is located at the bottom right of the Qfil dialog screen. I’m using Qfil 2.0.3.5 version. The correct version of Qfil is important as there have been problems with older versions.
Next click on the “load XML” button and group select “rawprogram0” thru “rawprogram6” which are also in the unzipped directory, then hit OK. Next it will ask for the Patch0.xml file, hit cancel as we’re not patching anything.
Wait a few seconds and then click on the “Download” button. Qfil will now resolve all the names of the partitions to be restore and then start the download process to the phone.
When complete phone reboots as I recall.
If you wish you can Qfil load both the eng alb file to abl_a – abl_b which will give you Flashboot mode and your magisk modified boot.img to boot_a – boot_b to give you root. I have both.
When I click download it just gets stuck. There is no ulf storage type on my qfil. Maybe I have the wrong one? I only get ufs and a few others.
edit I guess I bricked it, my other lg v60 works fine lol
nvm again used my laptop. that fixed it. Nice build
does the qdac works?

Factory Firmware
Restoration & Upgrading Guide
OVERVIEW:
This guide outlines detailed instructions on restoring and/or upgrading the Hyundai 7" HyTab Plus (7LB1) tablet to its stock factory state by way of flashing a factory firmware package to the device. This procedure can be used to fix a tablet which is bricked, stuck in a boot loop or is otherwise unable to boot into the Android OS. This guide can likewise be used by device owners who are experiencing issues attributed to firmware corruption, those who simply wish to revert to a fully stock and unmodified Android OS, or those who wish to upgrade from an older firmware build. This process will remove any system level mods, root binaries, custom kernels, recoveries, etc., as well as lock the bootloader if it is in an unlocked state.

PREREQUISITES:
A PC or laptop running on Windows 7/8.1/10/11;
The SP Fladh Tool firmware flashing software (link provuded below);
A factory firmware package for the 7LB1 tablet (link provided below);
The vCom MediaTek USB drivers installed on your Windows computer (link provided below);
The factory supplied or a quality equivalent USB-C to USB-A data syncing cable.
INSTALLING MEDIATEK vCOM DRIVERS
The most common obstacle many members encounter when using the SP Flash Tool is device recognition. The SP Flash Tool software flashes firmware directly to the NAND/eMMC whilst the mobile device is in BROM flash mode. In other words, the flash tool is interacting directly with the MediaTek chipset during the flashing process. The user merely needs to connect the powered off mobile device to the PC or laptop using an adequate USB data syncing cable. SP Flash Tool, in turn, will initiate BROM flash mode on the mobile device and commence with the firmware restoration process. In order for your device to be properly recognized in this regard, it is crucial that the MediaTek vCom USB drivers are properly installed and configured on your Windows computer. While I will not be outlining step-by-step instructions here on installing these drivers, I have provided a link in the downloads section below for a comprehensive guide on properly installing and configuring the vCom USB drivers on your Windows machine. Once you have completed this crucial task, you may proceed with this guide. Be sure and thank the OP of that guide, @skeleton1911, if you use his work.
DISCLAIMER
This guide involves flashing the eMMC internal storage device of your tablet with a factory firmware package, thus fully restoring your tablet to its stock factory condition. The procedure outlined below is inherently risky to the overall integrity and operabilitu of your tablet. Failure to follow the instructions properly can, for instance, render your device completely inoperable. By proceeding further, you are assuming sole responsibility for the integrity and operability of your tablet. I have fully tested this procedure on my own device. Follow the instructions carefully, employ patience, and things should go smoothly. I am not responsible if you brick or otherwise damage your tablet. Moreover, it should be emphasized that this guide is for model 7LB1 only. Its sister tablet, the WiFi-only 7WB1 model, incorporates major hardware and firmware differences. Accordingly, these two models are not intercompatible with regard to firmware builds.
INSTRUCTIONS
This section presumes that you have properly installed & configured the latest MediaTek vCom USB drivers on your Windiws PC or laptop. Again, I have linked a guide for installing these drivers in the downloads section below. Your bootloader does not need to be in an unlocked state. However, this procedure will relock your bootloader if it is presently in an unlocked state.
WARNING: This procedure will erase all saved user data from your device. Before proceeding, make a backup of any files, media or data that you wish to preserve.
Download the 7LB1 factory firmware package from the link below and extract the contents of the archive to a folder on your computer desktop, or to a folder in another convenient directory;
Download SP Flash Tool v5.1924 from the link below and extract the archive to your desktop, or to another easily accessible directory;
Ensure that your tablet is powered off and is not connected to your PC or laptop;. Likewise, ensure that there are no other mobile devices or USB storage devices connected to your computer;
Open the SP Flash Tool folder that you extracted in Step 2. Click on flash_tool.exe, then right click and choose to Run as Administrator;
Ensure that the pull-down menu, located near the mid-left region of the interface, is set to Download only. Next, click on the Choose folder icon, located to the right of the Scatter-loading file heading.
A file explorer will be launched. Navigate to the saved location of the firmware you extracted in the first step. In the firmware directory, select MT6739_Android_scatter.txt and then click Open;
The SP Flash Tool will now load the factory firmware package. A violet-colored progress bar near the bottom of the interface will reflect the completion status.
Once the firmware has been loaded, connect the USB-A end of the data syncing cable to your PC or laptop. Click the Download box located near the upper-left region of the interface;
Now, connect the USB-C end of the data sync cable to your tablet. If the vCom drivers are properly installed and configured on your PC or laptop, SP Flash Tool will recognize your device and initiate firmware installation via BROM flash mode. A yellow progress bar located near the bottom of the interface will reflect the percentage of completion. Once completed, you will receive a notification that the procedure was successful.
Disconnect your tablet and use the power key to boot the device. Your tablet shouid now be restored to its unmodified factory state and running on the latest stock firmware build.
