About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free and open-source operating system for set-top boxes, smartphones and tablet computers, based on the Android mobile platform. It is the successor to the custom ROM CyanogenMod, from which it was forked in December 2016 when Cyanogen Inc. announced it was discontinuing development and shut down the infrastructure behind the project. Since Cyanogen Inc. retained the rights to the Cyanogen name, the project rebranded its fork as LineageOS.
LineageOS was officially launched on December 24, 2016, with the source code available on GitHub. Since that time, LineageOS development builds now cover more than 185 phone models with over 1.9 million active installs, having doubled its user base in the month February–March 2017 And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
FULL CREDIT GOES TO @K9100ii AND @html6405 FOR THEIR SOURCE CODE.
NOTE: This is the first time I'm building a ROM. Similarly to lallolu's LineageOS 18.1 it was intended for personal use, but I decided to share it since it was stable.

So far so good,thanks
good job
Any chance of upgrading from 18.1 without losing data?
Migration patch? (I do have the one from 17.1 to 18.1, not sure if the same one would work)

Assuming you got 18.1 from here, it should be as simple as flashing 19.1 (and gapps) in TWRP. I tried it myself and it worked fine, but you should take a backup just in case.

Yep, flashing 19.1 and gapps
Checked if it boots, booted
Flash magisk
Everything works
Big change in UI
Thanks for the ROM!
Not 100% sure yet, but it seems that I am also not losing 5Ghz wifi after the phone is idle (then I would have to go airplane mode for few seconds and back to connect again / or sometimes disabling and enabling wifi would work)
I had that problem with all previous Lineage versions for this phone

Was quite annoying with no good way to only stop this phone from using 5Ghz (without completely disabling 5Ghz on router)
I will keep an eye on it
Well done Radplay. I was hoping that someone was going to have a go at porting 19.1 and this first build looks great.
If you are open to suggestions, the recording and in call mic volume seems a bit lower than the stock rom. I also couldn't get the in call speaker phone mic to pick my voice up normally.
Thank you for making this ROM available!
Does WiFi tethering work over 5Ghz?
:edit
it should, don't know for sure because i'm testing previous version 18.1 and it does
Thank you for the ROM. During calls, I have an issue where the sound button doesn't work, and the person I'm calling can hear themselves slightly, like an echo."

I'll look into it. ZRAM is set up differently in the tree I forked than it is on the official LineageOS one, if it performs better than the current setup I'll ship it in the June build.

Encryption? Can someone SS here?
FAQ:
* Bootloop?
> Nope. If you aren't encrypted it'll take some time to encrypt depending on data size on your internal storage.
* Needs internal storage wiped?
> No need to wipe internal storage & no data is lost while encrypting.
Use TWRP linked in First Post to avoid issues.
Also even if you are using any other recoveries.. the ROM will do its work & encrypt your data, problem will be faced while you go back in recovery.
Fingerprint works, Bluetooth with WiFi works and camera too.
So far so good.
Sir please add Google pixel pie dialer, and Google pixel pie launcher...
Booted successfully no bugs so far..
But sadly lost internal coz of encryption
Encryption is always nightmare for me

Mic bug still present
Thank you Stricted for the hard work and for continuing and releasing YOUR 16.0 version.
Unfortunately in you latest built I still experience the microphone issue.
Any audio recorded (i.e. speech messages) with the phone is too silent.
I suspect the bug is related to the fact that there is a second noise cancellation mic built into the device.

Man. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this. Everything works just fine for me. The system feels a bit sluggish but I knew it was going to be like that. Yeah sorry i was on rush earlier so i had to reflash the first one cause i needed it immediatly working; i'm going to re-downlaod it and re-try and let u know.
But one question: is there a way to enable the WPS connect (for the WiFi) or it has been removed on los16?
EDIT: Well, funny thing, when i had that error i was making a clean flash, now with a dirty flash, no error...
I think it was error 7 btw.
Just to be sure.
This is fine to just update (flash) from Lineage 15.1?

Thanks, idk what to say, android 11 was released just 3 weeks ago and it's already available for surnia. Thanks man, for keeping this device relevant and alive, thanks !
Excellent work! It's really impressive to see Android 11 running on this phone already. I haven't had any issues with the ROM so far besides a few app crashes here and there. I flashed the latest ARM package of BiTGApps for Android 11 and I can confirm it works.
Congratulations on getting 11 running on this!
Can you please share your roomservice.xml file from .repo/local_manifests directory so I can see what repos were used to build this?
I want to try to replicate your build on another msm8916 platform device. I could not find a manifest or roomservice.xml on https://github.com/MalluOS
Thank you.

Make sure your wifi frequency is 2.4 GHz. Try changing the channel on your router, it worked for me. There may also be some BT interference.
WiFi and Bluetooth both working great. ROM is fairly stable. Great work.
Very stable although the system clock occasionally malfunctions. I found NixGapps to work the best. Also flash the pixel launcher as the Trebuchet launcher isn't very stable and often crashes. To root, you must use magisk canary (21.0 or later) since the latest stable version (20.4) doesn't support android 11 yet. Bluetooth file transfer is broken and won't accept any files. BT audio works perfectly well. The ROM already supports Google Assistant so no need to force enable it with build.prop.
anyone aware of the gapps package that works with this ROM?
whats lottie animations? screenshots?

LineageOS is a free, community-built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

woah, thanks for the latest ROM dude. your support to this device is a legendary thing.
I'm gonna try this ROM and give report ASAP.
Thank you for the rom. So far it is working great since I did the install 2 days ago. I jumped from stock rom directly to this and I can't comment for the other LOS releases. I am using Basic NikGApps.
Something really weird when I first install the rom is Nik's wont install directly after rom install. Something about /system cannot be mounted. I had to reboot after rom install to be able to install the GApps.
Boot up is super quick (I wiped /data). Home/task manager animation is jittery but expected. Overall compatibility is great, although Find Device shows this device as Google Pixel 5. Dual sim is working as expected, but I only use the other sim as gsm exclusive recipient. The stock rom sometimes restart both sim (like no signal followed by searcing for network) after/during phone call, so it is much better now. The stock's built in browser & webview was flaky and now it is so much better.
My device's power button is faulty and I wake up my device with the FP sensor/screen double tap. When the screen is timed out, sometimes, if not often, the FP and 2-tap cannot wake up the screen. Not a big deal for me, but I thought I should share anyway.
My question is any help/tutorial on rooting?
So far the one I found is by using Magisk, and the magisk manager shows no ramdisk for this device. I don't really want to do the recovery dance considering the status of the device's hw buttons.
+Google Pay working,
+IRCTC app is working,
+Yono SBI Lite Banking app is also working
+SafetyNet by passed,
-Scroll QuickTile's Setting not working
Paytm Should work too
can't say about ICICI banking app
+jio SIM working properly (VoLTE)
-but Airtel is unable to call only SMS (this problem also in Stock ROM)
+LTE data is working on Airtel SIM
Hi Everyone, just two questions
The install instructions don't mention deleting /system, do i have to be using a stock ROM and then flash this? or whatever ROM i'm using when installing the OS will overwrite everything?
I'm also using the standard K6, is there any difference in the installation process? the phones have identical specs but just asking anyway
Why is SELinux disabled in this version? It was enforcing in the previous ones.
Thank you for that awesome ROM, it works really well so far for me. The only issue that I have is that apps running in the bakground crash almost every time. For example: i'm listening to spotify (or and other media player, really) and actively use any other app at the same time. In 9 of 10 cases the media player will stop running.
I reckon this issue has been solved for pixel phones using the "Suspend Execution for Cached Apps" option in the developer options, but this feature is not available in this ROM. Also disabling the battery optimization for the crashing apps didn't help either.
Do you guys too have this problem?
Is there a workaround?
k6 power lineage18.1 root? without bugs and a stable version

Hello everyone!
Firstly, very thanks to Karthick for the hard work. I'm new in this forum but I use LineageOS 16 on my k33b36 about 1 year Nothing to say about, it works fine to me!
I'm here because I wanted to know if this build works on my k33b36. I'm excited to test it and hope I can help somehow, but my knowledge in this area is very weak...
Anyway, thanks since now!
nice one, i'll test in a few minutes!

Wow, development has came a long way for this device. It's nice to see Android 12 for this device!
One issue though; the task switcher is broken. If this were to be fixed I would use this rom more often.
I do know this device isn't my daily driver anymore, but I understand that this is a work in progress.
Amazing. Thanks for the support on Merlin ^^.

I'm sorry but does this mean to flash it we must be in marshmallow based firmware first?
Also amazing work for a 6 year old phone!

@althafvly ....you mad scientist you!!! Is this a build of Android 12 I see for a little budget device that launched with Android Lollipop back in 2015? Guys hats off to @althafvly for keeping the 3rd Gen Moto G spirit alive. He never fails to surprise me with these miraculous custom builds. It is well done, Sir. Thank you for your hard work and continued dedication to the beloved Moto G3. Love for both the Osprey and Merlin models. Bravissimo

OP, the January, 2022, security patch build seems more fluid and responsive than the previous builds. In addition to bringing up the security patch level, did you make stability improvements and bug fixes also? Thanks.
This ROM works fine, thank you! Great work to keep this old mobile up to speed!
The only thing is the widgets, I can't seem to find them. Long pressing on the home screen doesn't present any choice to add them.
And the battery light stays on although I turn it off in the settings.
Minor stuff, of course, but still, I wonder.
Edit: I tested Nova launcher and the widgets are there, but just not accessible via Trebuchet.
is it compiled as android go?, is it possible that the surnia was the same?
Where do I get the correct Gapps version for 19.0?
EDIT: Never mind. I got everything I need working without it.
Updated to 12L (check OP for link)
- Fixed mobiledata

Hi. I am new to this and want to install this os on my moto g turbo. But i am unable to figure out the steps to follow. If anyone could provide me the link to a guide that i could follow for this, it would be helpful. Also, do i need to root my phone to install this os?
Thank you.

All done. I was able to find some guides and installed the OS. Bugs are the same as mentioned at the top. And it works beautifully. Thank you.
good evenings, I know this was posted long time ago, I nhave a friend that has the moto g3, do you recommend me to update his device?? I am very scared by watching at the bugs you mentioned, also... I saw a recent update I'm going to use that one, is it stable? Thanks, Giyax
sorry friend, but when I do a clean installation and then install the gapps it doesn't let me or the start of my google account doesn't appear
Hello all, thank you for this work! In my osprey 2/16 LTE don't work
Since 17.1 updates stopped, I consider jumping on 18.1 or 19.1....any reason to prefer 18.1 to this most recent unofficial LOS ROM?
Is it possible to use the SD card as internal storage in 19.1?
