Question Does uis7862 supports AHD Camera on front camera input? - FYT Android Head Units

I know that it supports up to AHD1080 using the rear cam RCA input.
Does it supports it also using the front camera input? Anyone knows?
Wanted to change my front camera with a better resolution one but I have no idea if it supports it.

I connected the CVBS IN1 to a front AHD1080 camera on my Teyes Unit (uis7862) If that helps.

It does for 3 seconds, I had to enable this in the units settings app. Check if you have this setting ?

Are you sure your front camera was AHD1080?
Just tried both 720 and 1080 AHD and didnt work, only CVBS signal
No setting anywhere on those units to change video signal , only for the rear input

The title of the camera I bought it AHD 1080P/720P Car Front View Camera and says "Before buying, please check if your Monitor or Android unit Car radio can support AHD."

I've seen some listings for cams that some mention snipping a specific wire to enable/disable AHD, check your manual if it came with one

This one is AHD only
It works just fine If I plug it on rear cam input.
Perhaps the issue is that the rear cam is AHD1080 and the front one is AHD720

No, AHD is AHD.
You really need an AHD chip on your motherboard to be able to use an AHD camera and then it doesn't matter whether it is 720p or 1080p.
If it works for your reverse camera then obviously your reseller didn't configure it for your front camera.
Also: did you contact your reseller and asked him?

There is a option to choose the codec for video signal for reverve, NTSC, PAL, AHD720 25fps, AHD1080 25 fps etc.
If you have AHD1080 camera it will only work if the correct option is selected, same for AHD720.
I dont have a option for front camera video signal, but will try to reach the reseller.

Yes, you are right that you need to select the correct configuration, but if you have the AHD chip it will support both 1080p and 720p. There is no 720p AHD chip or 1080p AHD chip.

This I Know but if you have to manually select the codec for the rear camera to work. In my case, I choose AHD1080 25 fps.
Its logical to think that for it to work, the front camera would have to be AHD1080 also since there is no selector for it
And so a AHD 720 camera wouldnt work

Found out the solution
You have to install fcam.apk (I didnt have this) so then you can open and configure the video codec for the front input

Hi could you elaborate on this? Front cam app apears if you enable Front cam in the factory settings menu at least in my mekede m6 pro plus unit. But i also coulnt find yet how to select ahd for front cam or for any cam for that matter. Currently i have cvbs front camera which works but would like to upgrade to an AHD. Also couldnt figure out how to configure for how long the video feed should be shown. In my previous Dasaita (whihc only supported cvbs cam) there was an option under factory settings to configure just this

Here you go
Fcam
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
When you open the software, click on the screen and you will get the settings icon. On there you should now have a second panel to change the video signal as you wish.

XA2 Ultra front cam startup error

Anytime that I attempt to open the standard [non-wide angle] front camera, I receive an unknown error warning (see screenshot). Have reset phone, etc.
Sony test utility shows error in standard front cam, however the wide-angle front cam functions normally. Rather than send the phone in for repair, I'm wondering if it's possible to have the front camera open on the wide-angle by default?
Unfortunately, once the camera app is open, the switch to wide angle is not functional, so there's no way that I can activate the wide-angle front camera. Any ideas? Thanks

Is a bug
It is not a bug. I do not have this problem at all. First.......
-Tell me what mods you have install
-tell me what you have for root and if magisk what modules
The camera error is being caused by something you have flashed or modded. Worst case scenario your camera is broken

I think the camera module is broken, as the phone is unrooted and unmodded, running the latest official stock for the region (Customized US). I might not bother to send it in for repair, as I don't use the front cameras much, anyway.
BUT- Is there any way to have the camera app open the wide-angle front camera by default? This would circumvent the problem. Thanks.

Probably not unless you know to edit an app and recompile the app. But good luck cause Sonys camera is tied into the framework so mess something and ur back to square one

How to flip (reverse) video image in AVin app?

I installed a front cam and connected it to aux video in cable so it shows picture in AVIN app. The problem is, the picture is mirrored like on a rear cam and the camera itself doesn't have an option to reverse image.
Is there any way to reverse image in the app itself or is there some other app that could use video input and has that option. Or is there a way to modify AVIN app so it shows normal image?
Please guys I need some help with this one.
I wonder if it is the camera itself that is reversed? Can you test it with another input?
Sorry, I didn't explain that clearly. The camera is meant to be in the back (hence the mirrored image), but unlike other cameras it doesn't have a loop wire to cut or any other way to change that built in mirrored mode. Fortunately I managed to locate front cam pin on my device so I connected it to that and the f-cam app has the ability to switch between the two modes. So I guess, problem solved

[OOS Camera] 7 Pro uses main camera even for zoom pictures?

I was messing around with the camera when I noticed something weird. When in the official camera app (tested in both implemented version and new 3.8.1), I can tap in the "three trees icon" (panoramic) and covering the top lense I see that's the one the phone is using. Now on to the 1x icon, the phone changes to the mid lense, but when tapping the big tree icon (telephoto), looks like my phone keeps using the same central lense, so the one in the bottom is never triggered.
Has anyone else ever experienced this?
Telephone is only used when there is a lot of light ( i personally tested it a lot). If you want to forcefully use the telephone camera use gcam mod with 'gcam for oos' module to enable auxiliary camera support.
in video mode telephoto is actually never used. that i did notice.

Maybe that's the reason, after further fiddling I've found there's some kind of jumping between both lenses, it's not just that it doesn't toggle at all. So maybe the light is the reason for that. Thank you for your reply!

Front / Rear Camera

Hi. I have PX3 unit and want to connect rear and front camera ( Front only for parking), and i have problems....
So rear camera connected to : CCD AV in and to "back" and working fine when im switch to rear gear its opens automaticly in AVIN app.
But problem is front camera. I enable "front camera" in factory settings. Also enable DVR as CVBS., and switch to front camera after reverse.
And here problems starts.
I have 2 yellow RCA connectors in my unit: Video IN and DR-V
If i put it on Video IN i can open AVIN app and i can see front camera view , and black screen in DVR app
If i put it on DRV connector, i see front camera in DRV app and black screen in AVIN
But when i switch to reverse gear and then put front gear ( enabled switch to front camera after reverse) i see only yellow sign.
Its annoying to swich always to AVIN app cuz its mute radio and i neet to turn it on again after close AVIN
I have app "F-cam" but there is only black screen with yellow sign. Is there some option to usee only this app for rear and front camera? As there is button to switch cameras and it would be nice....
Pls help me guys to solve that problem... Many thx !
EDIT: hmmm i cant add images ;/ i've made album : https://ibb.co/album/fhm4wF

Hello just joined for tech support.
[Mod Moved to MTCD], your unit is probably an MTCD. Use CAM In on Connector K, and if that doesnt work, contact your reseller.

Only front camera or both? And for front camera use Video in or DR-v ?
EDIT: CAM in - is used by rear cam
Connector K - 3V output no matter what so i think its not correct cable to connect...
And i dont have free cables more... So F-cam app dont work at all... Rear cam induct AVIN screen, and nothing working for F-cam app i lost my hope...
I will ask my question, because eventually it may have a solution by changing the rom (as shown here).
So it's like this: I have an Isudar, in my car Mercedes w203 (2002), with android 7.1.2. It's working ... well.
Of course, I was left without the radio station ID, the dashboard instead shows a dash, and pressing the non-nude station switch button for the next preset station starts the search for another station. Apart from that it satisfies.
As I knew I could have other kind of elements added, I started installing a sim card to have Internet (although 3G), but it satisfies and I already put a reversing camera, no problem and it is working. But when trying to attach a front camera the question arose.
One of the cameras I bought, via USB, is not recognized by the system, but recognizes the application built into the camera which once installed continues to say that "there is a problem plugging in the USB plug" and / or the SD built into the camera. I searched the net and saw some that gave, but with radios of other brands, or with cameras of other brands, but more expensive, which I do not risk buying, because of the uncertainty of its operation.
If i connect the camera to my phone, no problem, install the app and show the image, record and that's fine. The difference is that on the mobile phone the connection is made by OTG (USB to micro USB) and the image is very good. In the car, with the connection made and the application open, the SD will record - with a non-current date (maybe the date of manufacture) - and show the movies with some quality.
With this camera was not for me I ordered another to connect in the rear of the radio via RCA plugs. And, only an application that comes on the radio (DVR) allows image if it is connected to RCA CVBS, but does not allow any recording. I will add photos to know if the reported problem can be solved without touching the software installed at the factory or if it will only be solved by installing a new ROM and, if so, if the radio has the proper specifications.
In advance, I am very grateful.

Rear Camera not working after installing MIUI 13.0.8.0

Hello everyone, after years of resolving my issues just by looking here on XDA, it's time that I post an issue with my Poco F2 Pro. Sorry if my english is not correct (i'm from Italy btw).
So, yesterday i got a notification that told me that i could download and install the MIUI latest version (13.0.8.0), and i did it. Later, when I wanted to send a photo i opened the rear camera and "surprise" it wasn't working. Here's what I found out trying some apps:
GCam >> when I open the app, the rear camera comes out but on the screen i see the frontal camera. If I swipe to the rear camera, the app freezes for a bit and then it cloes itself.
Camera's Stock App >> when I open the app, the rear camera comes out but on the screen i see the frontal camera. If I swipe to the rear camera, i visualize the Macro Camera.
Whatsapp >> the app doesn't even give the option to switch to the rear camera (in fact, i think that the app does not detect the rear camera) but i can easily take photos with the frontal camera.
Instagram >> here i have the option to swap to the rear camera but if I do so, the app freezes and it closes itself.
CIT Mode >> when I check for the Rear Camera, i get the error "get the empty or null camera id".
I brought these examples hoping to show that it's not an hardware problem, since before the update I used the phone and the rear camera easy as always, and i think that the update could have compromised or smth the way the phone detects the rear camera. Anybody has the same problem? Or at least anybody knows how to fix that?

This is indeed the solution if the factory reset does not change anything and before to concluded that there is a hardware problem.
