I have the s6 non edge and have setup fingerprint unlock and my Wi-Fi at home and my pebble are setup as trusted devices. But every time I want to unlock the phone, I first have to wipe up at the loch screen and then I have to unlock via fingerprint. Is it possible to setup the phone so I don't have to wipe up first?
Thanks
You mean when you have the fingerprint setup as a login option you have to swipe up first?
When I setup fingerprint as an unlock setting all I had to do what unlock the phone and put my finger on the sensor, I dont have to wipe up or anything.

So here is the gist. When using fingerprint and trusted devices, when the lockscreen comes up, dont swipe the lock symbol. Swipe anywhere else on the screen and no fingerprint needed.

Thank you very much for this info! - I was so used to swipe my finger for unlocking that I overlooked the Lock Icon at the bottom of the screen.
If you want to lock your Device again just swipe the Lock Icon that appears while your phone is unlocked via the Trusted Device.
Note: This is also working on S5 an S5+ Devices!
Thank you!'! This has been driving me crazy on my S6 edge +. How unintuitive, but you are right. ???

Hi all
İs there a way to turn off all fingerprint and 4 digits pin code for unlocking screen?
İ remove fingerprint but the pin code stays still. İ need to just swipe to unlock.
Thnx
I was able to revert to no code/password check for the lock screen...
Removed also the PIN?
Nope.No any selection for no pin. Only fingerprint in menu.
Deactivating fingerprint also didint remove pin lock.
What must i do?
Delete all your fingerprints.
This is the menu.Png.
The top selection is no password/pin selection. But it is blocked.
Why can it be blocked default by it self?
You must previously delete all your stored fingerprints.
Did that already mate

Have you enabled any VPN connection?
How could i do it? I dont know if.i did?
If you don't know how to do I think that you didn't activate the credential storage and any VPN.... So this is not the cause.
Check also among the device administrators if there is something unexpected.
İ ve checked everything but nothing found. So boring.İ ve got.the doze app and i uninstalled it also.
As described in the settings, lockscreen PIN check is under control of device administrators, credentials storage and cryptography...
Were you ever able to lock/unlock screen without PIN or password?
Untill selecting the fingerprint screen lockin i could.Or i have never tried i dont remember excatly. I think when i bought the phone i just put the fingerprint first.
Where can i check the device administrators menu? And where/what is cryptography?
Under Advanced settings/Security.
No way..Starting to get upset and angry with this phone. It will be very funny if i have to reset the phone for this problem!
Any solutions? I also have the same problem...
Solution to mate 8 password removal
Step 1 go to settings
Step 2 Go to Advanced settings
Step 3 Click on Security
Step 4 Scroll right to the bottom
Step 5 Click on Screen Lock
Step 6 Type in your password.
you will now see that when you lock your phone with the power button and unlock it with the power button, the lock screen has been completely removed.
you want the lock screen back with no password see below
Step 1 go to settings
Step 2 Go to Advanced settings
Step 3 Click on Security
Step 4 Scroll right to the bottom
Step 5 Click on Screen Lock
Step 6 you will see the screen lock will turn on.
Thats it, exit settings and test, you can now lock the phone and unlock the phone then swipe to on the screen to unlock it to your apps.
I did this and it worked for me because i had the same issue.

I need just to sweep the screen but keeps asking me for the pin and the lock screen menu turned pale and is no longer working, any idea please guys
My preferred method of unlocking my Galaxy Note 8 is the directional lock. When I press home I get the message to "draw a series of directions..." My phone would be much more secure if those instructions weren't there, alerting a stranger to to attempt to unlock it by trying different directions. If the instructions weren't there, they wouldn't know if they needed a password, thumbprint, pattern, etc.
Hi everyone,
I use a Samsung Galaxy S21 - and I just can't figure out how to truly lock the lock screen?
When I lock the phone, I see quite a bit of information and options on the screen, starting from general stuff like the clock, contact information and the keypad to enter pin (or the biometric fingerprint thingy), which is all fine. At the top, the icon of a lock indicates that the phone indeed is locked.
Now comes the part I have an issue with: the top information bar is fully visible, showing my mobile service provider, information on my current reception status and such.
Even this would be fine as well for me - but you can actually pull the top drawer down, change my settings (for example the volume settings, ...), All without unlocking the phone.
is there a way to turn this "function" off? That is, if I want the phone locked, it should stay locked until I unlock it - or at the very least allow me to decide which options are available to use and see without unlocking the phone?
Hope you can help me figure this one out
Hi there . I've been using a Galaxy S10 for the past 3 years. When I flicked open the cover, it went straight onto the home screen, without ANY lock screen, not even swipe.
I did disable the lock screen on this Xiaomi 12T, but I still can't get rid of a screen that requires me to swipe before I get to my home screen. How can I get rid of it?
Thank you in advance!

Not possible and this prevents an app from accidentally launching.
Damn . Since I have a cover with a latch, apps accidentally launching are a non-issue
Another case of product design which sacrifices customization in the name of "saving the majority".
Ouffff. Anybody know any workaround? Other than rooting the phone
No workaround, without rooting and this remains to be verified, except maybe with an AOSP rom.
I believe in the extended settings/ developer options (to activate hit several times miui version in detailed cell phone overview from settings) it is possible to deactivate lockscreen.
