Advice for app creation - General Topics

Hi!
So i have an idea for an app. Im not looking for free programers. I would just want to ask few questions about my idea. How difficult would it be to create. More info in PM if someone could be so kind. Would really appreciate some feed back.

Hello! I'd be happy to help answer your questions about your app idea to the best of my ability. Please feel free to send me a private message with more details, and I'll do my best to provide feedback and guidance.

Hello and good morning, @Blokewed and @Joe L. Thompson's
Welcome to XDA! I hope you'll always get the support you require and that you enjoy to share your knowledge and experiences with this great community. However, talking about the XDA community, we'd appreciate if you share your information here publicly in the forum. The community doesn't benefit from private discussion and would be unable to join it. Thanks for your understanding.

So my idea is a trailer renting app. It would need some form on high grade authentication, some form on paying with a cash option, some calendar thing to book ahead and see when some trailer is free. And my idea that paying is per minute instead of 1hour minimum like its usually. That means it should work something like takeing a picture before driving nad after to close the time. Also to make sure no one steals the trailer ot should have somekind of gps option.

This is a project I am starting for a graduate level stat project and a resume booster. The premise is, Facebook can produce a great deal more views and ad potential than any developers site. Don't get me wrong I love XDA but do you think the average person with an average question has any idea where to go. Android University is a common wall Facebook site that will allow for simple questions and answers along with buying advice and non-biased opinions about all Android devices. I would say I am a high level user but I still do not know how to program. However, I am very good at dumbing things down for everybody to understand. Please like my page and ask any questions you may have. I currently own an Inspire 4G and an EVO4G and I have used almost all roms. I am an avid flash junkie and tester. Please help me get this running. You don't have to be my friend to like the page and please be sure to tell friends about the page. Hopefully it will prevent a great deal of simple questions from entering this site. Thank you for your time.
Please come ask questions.

leave the guy alone. He doesnt have to code to be a "high-end user." He said "user" not "rom chef"
Let him do his thing. He's trying to trying to better himself, help newbies, and the XDA and Android community.

Thanks man, ya i've been using android phones for a while now and this is really a facebook site to help frustrated people answer small questions or big questions and offer advice on future products. In all, I hope it can grow and lead to stupid small questions away from this site to allow for greater development without interruption. Thank for any support and kick rocks if you are a hater....

That's because Mr. Noob here doesn't know how to paste a link.
Just go to facebook and search "Android University" if the link doesn't work

Sharing

Hello everyone. I joined this forum for a long time and I have earned a lot of benefits from it. And now I want to contribute something for xda community. I think sometimes all of you need book for referral but can't find it elsewhere on the internet so I create this topic
Recently I have had discount vouchers which can buy some kinds of e-book at Nook Store with 20% discount or sometimes 30%. It's so waste if I use it alone so I want to share that with all of you who want to buy e-book. If you want to buy please feel free to sent me the link to [email protected] and I will reply in 24h to let you know that whether I can help you to buy it.
I hope that this topic will helpful for some of you. And you can continue contributing for everyone.
P/S: one more important thing is that you can buy e-book together and copy that file to smart phone or tablet and use epub reader software to read it without any restriction.
Sorry mod I can't find a suitable place to post this thread. Please move it to the place that you think it's belong to.
Thanks

Looking for App Developer for Android

Hi, I have an idea for an app but I can't code and develop it myself.
Im a media designer, and idea developer so the apps idea is sort of done, but I'm always open for improvement!
I'm looking for a experienced person/partner, that can make a stable, fast and efficient app.
If you think you're the man for the job, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I'm living in Denmark, but right now im travelling.
If this is posted the wrong place in the forum, please guide me to where I can ask for assistance. I couldn't post in App Development since i dont have 10 posts..
Looking forward to hear from you!

what kind of app do you want to create

Please kindly help me out with my first android app by giving me some honest advice

Hi, all, first, I am not sure whether I should put this post under this section or the General discussion. If I put it in the wrong, please kindly let me know and I will change it to the right place.
Ok, here is the thing. I have developed an android app (to remove the doubt of spamming, I will not mention it here). I thought it is great, so I upload it to the Google Play store and send review request to over 50 review websites. But the downloading data is really frustrating, only about 100 over two months.
I know XDA has many real android experts who are willing to offer help to those who are in need. So I wonder is there anyone who are willing to offer some honest suggestion for my app?
Thanks in advance.

[Completed] Suggest a dev for photo stitching app

Hi, I'm completely new to the forum and a complete novice coder (even novice is an overstatement).
I'd like to develop an app that involves photo stitching, panoramic functions and some other cool features that can be discussed after securing an NDA.
I'm currently working on a wire frame and graphic design for buttons, icons, GUI, etc, but need someone who is good at programming these types of apps, initially for Android, later porting to iOS.
Any and all recommendations for specific individuals, dev teams or companies would be greatly appreciated. I'm an individual entrepreneur with a little capital, but far from "deep pockets", so unfortunately, cost is a big factor. Looking for best bang/buck. Thanks fellas!
Nobody care to help out a noob? It'd be much appreciated. Thanks!

Cool, thanks man. I guess I'm used to forums that are far more crowded and if you don't get an answer in a day, your post gets completely buried and likely will never get a reply. Thanks for the heads up and sorry the betting impatient.

Hey Raj, thanks, but I'm not looking to code an app myself, I'm looking for a dev that I can pay to create one. I tried to learn C++.....i didn't get much past "Hello world!" til I realized I just plain suck at coding! Lol
Sorry about that but i can't help you in this job.
You can try to ask in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257421

Thanks, but I'm getting the feeling that this forum is more for devs to discuss coding itself, and not so much find jobs coding. I think I'll try my luck on Craigslist. Thanks for the help though.
