Translate menus with app clonner - General Questions and Answers

Hi
I have a question. I found an app wich it would be good for my purpose. Hiking app for WearOS. I see that App clonner will allow change native language of any app. I only want it for personal use. The app is in japanese...and the menus are a complete mess. As soon as I translate a sentence into English or Spanish....as soon I forget it.
I don't know nothing about programming, but I'd like to try it.because there are very few apps for hiking on WearOS and this app looks fine. I ask to developer about other languages...but unfortunately he doesn't seems to be interested.
Has anyone used this App feature? And if so...How difficult it will be? I want to try to do i by myself.
Sorry for my bad English
Thanks

I don't believe an "app cloner" has the feature to rewrite string tables contained in an APK-file ( note: APK is a type of JAR - Java ARchive - which is a type of ZIP ).
BTW: The strings - you want to manipulate - are housed in APK's subfolder named res.

IMO rewriting the string-table in an APK-file requires unpacking the APK-file, editing the strings, repacking the APK-file and signing it.

[Q] how can I fix a revesed Hebrew chars in my GPS?

Hi.
I have a chinese GPS device, WinCE 6.0 embedded based.
I've installed MioPocket on it, and translate some of the words to hebrew. My problem is that the hebrew is 'backwards', meaning if for ex. suppose to be "Hello" - It'll show "olleH".
This is how my GPS looks for now:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How can I fix this problem?
Well, from tobbbie's answer here - I understand that my only option is to implant a soft-reset during the installaion of MioPocket.
Does anybody over here knows how to do soft-reset with those chinese devices?
After a search inside the GPS file system (I forgot to mention that in the original menu of the GPS the Hebrew was just fine - meaning from right to left - what led me to think there's something in the OS responsible for that) - I found a file named SetLanguage.exe which may be repsosible to display the hebrew in the right direction.
Anyone in here can hex the file and understand what's it's usage?
I attached also file named Arab.dll, maybe is also related..
Any help will be much appriciate!

I'm new here, so I can not post links
What will i need?
The tool needs Java Runtime minimal 1.7.0_11 with JavaFX
What do you want from us?
Feedback, opinions, suggestions
thanks for reading!
Alexander
ps: I hope you could understand me. My english is not the best
Great job!
Useful app for native Android dev. Therefore I think most of your users will be app developers rather than game developers (who are more likely to use a game engine / OpenGL).
Keep the good work dude! :highfive:

[APP] Share Latest NP++ for Android

Hi,
Q. What is notepad++?
A. It is a text editor with a little more features to it. It features things that are usually helpful to programmers such as collapsing sections (called code folding) and syntax highlighting, plugin features and can even be made to integrate with compilers to build code.
Mainly NotePad++ is a computer software. But our Android Developers made NotePad++ for Android. So now we can edit anything like smali,xml etc.. on our Android :victory:

You Just Changed The Icon & The Name That's It. For This You Call Yourself A Developer. Shame on You Man. You're insulting the original Developer.

My list of apps that I don't let the store update?
ES File Explorer and Graph 89 (TI calculator emulator). I've made modifications to both apps and re-signed them so they don't update.

How do you modify them so they don't update or ask to be updated?
As I said, I re-signed the apps. Because the signature has been changed the apps can't update even if they show as needing an update. Re-signing an app is relatively easy and can even be done on device with ZipSigner.
The big difference between my re-signing apps and tutorials on the topic is that I use my own key rather than debug keys.
Modifying apps is often more involved, requiring a means of decompiling the app, making edits, then both recompiling the app and signing it. Sometimes, if it's just a graphic like for Graph89, WinRAR or 7-Zip followed by re-signing the app is enough.
