Without unlocking the bootloader, there is no chance to root.

but i can't unlock the bootloader can you help me please?

not really no, unless it's running on a Mediatek SoC (I doubt it and can't be bothered to check)
or there's a serious vulnerability overlooked by the Android devs in both Samsung and Google, you're out of luck
unless of course there's an exploit in the BROM of the SoC, but at this point you're all out of luck since I doubt you'd be able to avoid a softbrick at best and a hardbrick most likely
also I think you CAN unlock the bootloader (OEM unlocking under DevOpts) by giving all your personal data to samsung and google over the span of a week: login to your google and samsung accounts, have a simcard in at all times and be connected to a single wifi accesspoint so that Samsung is absolutely sure of who and where you are

Ok thanks sir

thank you sir! it means no way to root my samsung a21. because unlock tool does not work on him.

well... I don't know of any BROM exploits for the Exynos chipset and if you don't want to give away your personal data to Samsung and Google, you probably don't have a way to root your device

can you send me the link for DevOpts please?

DevOpts is shorthand for Developer Options, on anything past kitkat you get to them by 7 taps on the device build model under device information (every OEM has it placed in a different place) and then going to the developer options screen in the settings (also different for OEMs)
a quick online search should provide you with detailed steps for your device
`enable developer settings for sm-a215u`

I got this device yesterday, but it's locked and i can't use it on my network. Is there any way to unlock this device without paying someone to do it for me? I know that Samsung Android devices are often very easy to unlock, but there is no much info about this one.

[Q] [S7580] Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus Network Unlock - REQUEST

I am posting this as a last resort because unfortunately I have failed to find an unlock procedure for this mobile and I have searched thoroughly (to the best of my knowledge).
Does some one know how to remove the network lock from the Galaxy Trend Plus - S7580 - allowing my uncle to use another carrier mobile?
Or at least point me in the correct direction.
I have tried many alternatives between apps, softwares, adb but they all fail for this device.
I even installed a new ROM also to no avail.
If you can help me but require more information please let me know!

Buy a unlock code HERE or HERE or check out ebay for "S7580 unlock code"
You can't remove the lock by flashing another firmware.

The problem is the phone cost 10€ and to pay another 40€ (at best) to unlock is not feasible.
My samsung galaxy S & S3 were unlocked through adb. Is there not a similar procedure for this device?

S3 can be unlocked via root access. I Suppose the phone costs just 10€ (WTF?!) because it can't be unlocked easily...

forgotten Lock screen

Hi all,
A friend with this device (the 4G one) got a forgotten lock screen somehow. I wanted to help bypass without losing data.
The lock screen only keeps asking for repeating entering the pin, it does not provide alternative such as google account (which we do have).
Please note the device is unrooted and I don't intend to root it or do any customization.
Help is appreciated.
Does your friend have a Samsung account? If so, you can use that to remotely unlock it from here: http://findmymobile.samsung.com/

I've always run ADB commands to rooted devices so I'm not sure if this will work but anyways here's a link that might be helpful.

Thank you but I already hard resetted and lost data as the owner chosen that. But I need to research this to a maximum as I found that my Nexus 4 with Lolipop also has this problem (and Nexus apparantly has no Samsung account ) . So if I get the lock screen forgotten, I'm in really big trouble! All expert advice is welcome please.

Sim unlock solution developmet for T-Mobile S7 G930T

Hello everyone
Here's my problem and my idea:
I bought T-Mobile Galaxy S7 on ebay about a week ago (Stock QC1 firmware) and now I'm in need of sim unlock, which I can't, my device's unlock fails every time through Device Unlock app
I've searched through the web past two days and found no solution whatsoever. Every service is down for now and I cannot find any ways to unlock my phone.
So, here's what I thought: Maybe here's someone who can actually develop or figure out a solution for this since many solutions are available for S6/S6e and many other t mobile phones, but not for S7.
I can be tester and provide any files/dumps if needed or anything you guys ask.
I believe I'm not the only one with this problem and if we try hard enough, we can do this. Many people can benefit from this also, so let's be useful.
To mods, if you believe this is a wrong place to post this thread, please move it where it belongs.
Thanks to you all.
So your idea is just to look at other device solutions? [emoji1]

I guess that's the part of it
Cheers
We probably wont see a direct unlock solution on these T-Mobile/MetroPCS QUALCOMM based Galaxys for some time. The older models you mentioned are Exynos based CPUs, they are being unlocked all the time. Unlock app or trusted server for imei unlock is our only solutions for now.

I stand with you. I think a bounty would be appropriate. I go loads of s7 and s7 edge to unlock. I may be at a huge loss if no unlock comes

I believe of we have alot of people working toward it something interesting would come out if it. Considering s8 is also there, more people Wil be requiring unlock. It's only a matter of time
Factory reset your phone, then try to use the device unlock. You can select temporary unlock or permanent unlock. Once you are done you will have a sim unlocked device.

Actually, MetroPCS s7 & s7e device unlock is available for $20 and Qualcomm S6 and below is also unlockable, there are many remote unlock services on ebay/various websites for those devices.
I've been* trying to unlock my S7 since April but no luck.
I know this issues with t-mobile Quallcomm Galaxys are about locked bootloader but that's the only thing I found out.
If someone can make bounty pool or something similar, I would gladly participate.

Yup. I'm on android 7.0. I could go back to 6.0.1 too. Why do you think this is a method to unlock? You need to connect to Tmobile database to unlock. Merely factory reset won't do anything. It's all in the cloud

I know, however when I had issues with the device unlock app a fresh install of the latest version worked and I was able to temporarily unlock for a month.
I did it just now after a factory reset, rooted and running no BS Rom...
T-mobile
I went through the same ordeal. I had to actually call t-mobile and get a representative to unlock it using the phone's IMEI number so it could be used on all carriers. Call them, I'm sure they will unlock it for you. That t-mobile unlock app doesn't do anything. Also under developer options, you need to check OEM unlock before you call t-mobile.
-Just my two cents, Bob

My device asks for active cellular connection in order to get temporary unlock, but I can't get carrier signal since phone is locked.... are you T-Mobile customer and were you using their sim card? I am not.

Called them maybe 10 times, even used their facebook page. Every single customer representative said phone is fully paid and nothing is blocking it but they can't help me because I'm not actual / original phone owner on their database, and person I purchased this phone from has no idea what unlock is, he's impossible to deal with. Maybe you have any tips for me?
Thank you everybody for taking your time and helping us.
Just a quick update, I just flashed latest G930U firmware and after SIM card insertion, phone asks for unlock code, which of course I have no idea what it is

I think you and @boobteg have a paid off devices eligible for unlock. What you need to know ow is that the device unlock app doesn't work on custom roms. It requires a stock rom. There are some of us who are not eligible for unlock.
Any progress?
none so far

I came across a defcon presentation called,
"Breaking the Android Bootloader on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660".
It would appear that it is certainly possible to bypass a locked bootloader, Two interesting methods that were mentioned,
"The most commonly used approach is to access Qualcomm Emergency Download mode. This is a low-level emergency state boot mode, where diagnostics tools can be used to upload a signed “loader” payload to the chip, which can be used to modify the device’s partitions directly. While this approach is effective, it requires the ability to boot into the mode, which is not always made directly available to users, and access to a signed loader ELF which may not be available for the device.
The second common approach is to attack the device at a hardware level. By disassembling the phone, and connecting to EMMC chip on the board, it is possible to set the “unlock” bit in the configuration partition and gain unlocked access. Public resources exist which outline which pins should be connected to, however this usually requires some hardware knowledge and steady hands. There is also a high risk of irreparably damaging the device."
The rest of the presentation explains how the bootloader lock was bypassed via an exploit.
Ive also heard that exploiting flaws in Qualcomm's chips has become a common way to root bootloader locked devices, If root is all your after.
