What is the right way to completely uninstall viper4android??
I clean cache and data from the application, then disable the magisk module and then I just uninstall the app itself.. But I can't get rid of the com.pittvandewitt.viperfx inside superuser?! It stays.. I want to delete anything has to do with viper as I found wavelet efficient enough and does not interfere with my bluetooth devices...

That's not a file, it's just a history of ROOT access added in Magisk.
Can I delete it?! I feel awkward seeing it...

You'll need to re-do the settings and probably re-enable the modules. There is no guarantee when you're doing ANY kind of "modding" on your device, so you need to live with it if something goes wrong.

I did it but when I re-open the app everything is intact as i left it..
If I have completely uninstalled magisk and I am unrooted can I flash the patched img back for magisk without a pc? Or only with pc via fastboot and terminal command?!
Everything is solved thank you all very much it can be deleted

I was wondering if anyone knows why I my tablet won't root, does the paranoid android rom have a special root file, cause I tried with my regular root file and it says before I reboot that the root needs to be fix, why is that?

This room has a built-in superuser so yes, it's rooted. But since the superuser is built-in you won't see any superuser app. If you don't like it then you can disable it and use any superuser app, otherwise don't bother cuz it works anyway...

First, install your own superuser, but don't disable the built-in one. Launch your superuser, let him update its binaries if needed, and let him get superuser permissions from the built-in superuser.
Here you go, now you can disable the built-in superuser and use your one.
I did it this way and it worked, so it should be the same for you.
But for now if your superusers are messed just flash again the rom, wipe dalvik and cache and start fresh.
Good luck!

its not that hard to find it...
Hi guys,
I have some problems with audio after installing viper (beta). I've already had viper for a week and all worked perfectly (also upgraded to 2.7 stable). Since today that I decided to uninstall momentaneously the driver and now, if I reinstall viper, I have a broken audio (idk how to explain) for some reason.
Do you guys have any idea?
I think it would be good to clean all audio files, or something like this, and reinstall viper.
Thx in advance.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm on AEX.
I would try a dirty flash of your current rom

First delete your current viper from magisk and android apps. Now go to magisk manager downloads. Search for viper and install the 3.4.2 version with lib workaround (last option you have to choose). Reboot and search for notification helper remove by zackptg5. Install and reboot and you should be fine.

I'll try but I've always installed viper by using the app and not the magisk module because it wouldn't install the driver. I have to say that I've never tried to install it with lib workaround... I'll let you know how it goes.

It's the "Remove volume listener library"
For "Remove notification_helper effect" you'll need the "Audio Modification Library" magisk mod, which messes everything up on our phone
It's working, thank you.
Do you know a way to get also dolby working with viper?
I got them work with ADL but it has a bug that sounds won't play on Bluetooth earbuds.
Sorry my English.

I personally don't care about Dolby. Try to flash this one and see if it works (if not you can always uninstall the mod):

Because system apps don't uninstall like normal apps they're rooted into the system image for a good reason. You can't just start deleting left right and centre you need to understand what you can and cannot delete first.
When you've done this just locate and delete the .apk file of that app.

Do you have folders with certain root related phrases in their name on your internal storage? I remember getting this popup everytime I had a folder that contains the phrase "root" in its name
or when I did not rename the default TitaniumBackup folder. The "TitaniumBackup" folder was almost certain to trigger the root detection for me, so I'm now always renaming it to just "TB".
Maybe you have a folder too that's causing this problem?

I'm trying to run vanced YouTube on my pixel 7 Pro. Vanced manager manager still working on my op9pro...but I need to delete all remnants of the stock YouTube app from my device.
I'm unlocked and rooted. Titanium backup shows the error "can't locate APK". I'm trying to do it manually with root explorer. The YouTube and YouTube music APKs are located in /product/app/YouTube. I cannot delete these files and root explorer won't allow me to change the permissions of these folders. I also tried adb but that just hides them, I need to remove any and all files associated with the stock YouTube system app.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm not looking to hide these apps, I'm looking to permanently remove them from the phone.

[SOLVED] Revanced working?

@rester555, @EtherealRemnant, and some others got it working well enough....and I don't think they had to go through the trouble of deleting "all remnants" of the stock app. You might be used to a bit of an outdated method or particular to your previous device method because I believe it's been a long time since you had to remove the stock app to get it to work -- at the very least on my Pixel 5 A11 rooted, I used Vanced manager and it would merely overwrite/replace my stock app; I just had to make sure to turn off auto-update as Google would insist on re-installing/updating it back to stock...
In any case, the thread below is where a bunch of them got it to work well enough on the P7P (without the need to remove the stock app, i believe)

Sorry for re-iterating what netgar posted. He got his post in before while I was still drafting mine...
Just disable the app. You can do it natively. Go like you're going to uninstall the app and you'll see disable.
I did disable it. Only problem now is I can't install an older YouTube APK from APK mirror in order to patch it with revanced lol. Phone is giving me an error when I try to install an older version of YouTube.

I got it working. Although I'm rooted, I had to use the non root method with microg in order to get it working
Even though I got it working, I'm still kind of pissed I can't delete certain system apps off my device. Huge reasoning for rooting in the first place is to have ultimate control over my device. Can anyone shed some light on why I can't remove certain system apps or provide a working method to do so?

Root these days is systemless. The best you can do is disable apps or uninstall them from your user profile with adb.

i know it's old and EOL, but can't Titanium Backup "freeze" system apps? It's been a while (years), so I'm working off of memory and just basing it off of what I kinda remember and can't be too sure...
Open a Command Terminal, grant root access by typing "su"
This command works for me to delete system apps (youtube for example):

pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.youtube.music
