Are you on Android 13? Because you could try A14 GSI only with preview or A13 as I know.
Android 12 miss some files

Forget about load latest custom or update GSI on Android 11 so.
If you would like to try, use DSU Sideloader
EDIT: As you say, better to have a custom ROM

The very old aosp based p beta?
You should install the latest miui global dev rom.
Then install LOS on top of that

i have answered your query in far more detail in your other thread, but to reiterate for those who didnt read that post, if youre on anything higher than the U2 bootloader, then youre stuck with 9 unless youre rooted and can find an Oreo ROM to flash in TWRP that supports your bootloader. Not all ROMs support all bootloaders

Modem Test & custom roms A11

Could anyone test this who is running Android 11 on custom Roms and tell me if the modem test app works.

I'm still on Android 10 as VOLTE doesn't work on Android 11 nor does this app as it 's intended for Android 11. Please post up debug screen if possible.

Mine said something there was a problem while parsing the package. Is that the error you had?
AncientOS-R-Society-v5.3,can't install it.(application not installed).
Seems like it will only work on xiaomi.eu - it's built in their weekly os.
*#*#663368378#*#* dialer code activates it.
It does work on stock but you can't change anything.
If anyone on xiaomi,eu or stock can share you output the same as I did in post 1 I'd really appreciate it.
On a EU rom this function already exists in the CIT menu additional tools.

certain for the weekly and probably the same on the stable.
For those who tested Modem Test tools - I think it might work if it is a system app.
If anyone could try it? and report,

EU rom 21.3.25
These tests must surely be carried out on a stock rom.

Question Why all ROMS need custom recoveries ?

Hi, why all ROMS need custom recoveries ?
Why not making fastboot flashable images like the Xiaomi.eu ROM ?
I mean like this:

Everything can be installed with command lines, the Twrp/O.F simplifies this.
The TWRP or O.F does not require a pc to install roms.
Not all roms only have img files to flash (AOSP/GSI).
A PC+a cable=2 additional errors possible.
Xiaomi EU rom provides roms in Fastboot.zip because either there is no TWRP yet or it is not 100% functional.
From the moment there is a functional TWRP, the roms will be in Zip and installable via OTA / TWRP.

Thanks for your answer, but rn, the only unofficial TWRP available for this device has no source code released, so we can't know what's inside the image.
Maybe it's infected.

That's why all Xiaomi Eu roms (VEUXG/VEUX) are in Fastboot.zip.

Yes' you don't need to root, the OTA is bit different. you getting the pop-up that ther is update avaible and the phone download it but it won't install it like in "normal" rom, all you need to do is to copy the .zip file file to your computer, put your phone to fastboot mode and run one file that will install the update and restart the phone.
read the "how to" guide here on forum.

No need to root with Xiaomi Eu rom
Xiaomi EU rom=Hybrid = can be installed and and update with either Twrp(OTA) or Fastboot
