I have two Redmi Note 7 Pro devices. (Global Devices - A.K.A Indian Variant)
first device is unlocked but no custom rom installed like ever
second device is unlocked with lots of custom rom history
While trying to relock my bootloader with MIFLASH (clean all and lock) and Global firmware 11.0.8
First device firmware flash worked perfectly and bootloader is set to lock state - (Widevine status is L1 )
Second device as stated in OP . Flashing success but device showing "SYSTEM HAS BEEN DESTROYED". If i unlock the bootloader of the device then it boots normally but device is in unlock state (widevine status L3)
I think some modifications might have happened to some system partitions which causes the VBMETA - SRCLIST check failure.
ANY DEVS PLEASE LOOKS INTO THIS ISSUE ...
Yeah someone out there I"m trying to relock bootloader bcoz to get access to my corporate mails , netflix HD content and GPAY
(On other hand magisk is having CTS profile check failure as google changed the approach to check the unmodified system)

If you wanna lock your bootloader then don't untick the option, use MiFlash along with lock devide option. That should give you stock ROM and a locked bootloader, but don't try this on a custom ROM.

Its common sense bro that i can only flash stock miui rom through miflash and i did that only with clean all and lock option but it hasnt worked yet

There is no harm having unlocked bootloader with miui stock you still secured and still gets all updates pushed by Xiaomi.
I recently flashed rom miui by mi flash tool and with unlocked option on and as I started from fresh got latest update 11.8.0 hope so but you do one thing uninstall the mi flash tool and reinstall it then do the same steps again you will get successful

Yeah never said there's a problem..just that if you try it on a custom rom it will brick the device..

I have talked to some developers and they have said its happening to everybody due to some issue by Redmi side you cant rollback from anrdoid 10 custom rom to miui 11 android 9 based you have to wait till redmi releases miui 11 based on android 10 then you can lock the bootloader or you can use edl mode
Did you find any solution to this?

Even EDL mode isn't a solution.
One of my known violet user went to service center and they failed to revive the phone even from EDL flashing. At last they changed the mobo.
Hope this gets fixed after miui 12 with android 10 comes.
P.s : i lost all my hope of relocking the bootloader & i don't think so that android 10 update from Xiaomi will fix this.
Lets hope it gets fixed
I always use the fastboot method to restore original system. Works 100% of the time. It has scripts to flash stock without lock

Well brother I ran into the same problem "System Destroyed" but with BL Locked, there's a way to fix it
check this out :
[ Fix ] System has been destroyed [ Bootloader Locked ]
Hello Folks !! I ran into this error "system has been destroyed" when I tried to flash Stock MIUI 12 using Mi Flash with "clean all and lock" option checked, it seems if you have ever flashed a custom Rom like Pixel UI etcetera on Violet there's...
forum.xda-developers.com
Mi 7 system has been destroyed what can I do
my devices shows "the system has been destroyed" when i tried to flash custom recovery....
so to unbrick my devices i tried to flash the fastboot rom with the help of mi flash here i made a mistake i selected "lock and clean option" some how the mi flash has crashed and the flashing has canceled ................. my devices got locked its boot loader ...........
and when i try to unlock the boot loader it stuck at 99 % and says "unknown error. try again later (-1)" ............. i dont know what to do help me please ................:crying::crying:
Download Xiaomi ADB fastboot tools and try to flas hte rom in EDL mode. Google knows how this can be done.
Never unlocked or flashed a custom rom on my device since I got it a few years back so its always been on stock.
My phont turned off one night while I was using it aand sicne its been stuck in EDL mode.
Black screen won't boot etc.
Device Manager shows Qualcomm HD-USB QDLoader 9008
I tried diffrent roms and diffrent Mi Flash tools wioth no luck.
In the latest Mi flash I cant flash because of authorisation.
In previous versions I get Waiting for hello packet and Object referance not set to instance of object.
I tried the diffrent firehose files from online.
I am going to try Xiaomi.eu rom and see what happens.
But anyone had this before and can help me get the phone back up and running?
I had a custom ROM installed. One night I just typed "fastboot oem lock" without giving it much of a thought. Than, of course, the phone was bricked. It wouldn't boot and gave the error "The system was deleted" or something like this and since the bootloader was locked and all MiFlash couldn't flash.
The solution was simple. I just used Mi Unlock and it worked. The bootloader was unlocked again. I didn't think it would work.
I was on A12 beta1, so I decided to go back to older firmware, I unlocked my bootloader and wanted to flash fastboot rom. When I tried it it says "Flashing not allowed for Critical partition" and when I try command:
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
It says failed, device already unlocked.
So I gave up and wanted to try MSM Tool, downloaded it and after literally 2hrs of looking for a proper driver somehow got it to work and see my device in EDL mode, but when I start flash it says "Param Preload Fails".
I have no idea what should I try next, tried everything in past 3/4 hours.
Device stuck in Fastboot mode, no booting, bootloader unlocked, any suggestions are welcome..
So, i recently flashed arrow os 12.1 on my poco x4 pro (veux) using twrp. Flashing the rom removed twrp and now i cant flash it back because fastboot says that my bootloader is locked...
Of course, it isn't and the problem is that allow oem unlocking isn't on... I really would appreciate some help because i've been stuck on this rom for a day.
Gonna wait for some answers, thank you.
In the first place, flashing the rom shouldn't relock your bootloader. Can you please reboot to fastboot mode and use mi unlock tool with the same account you used to unlock bootloader first time.

Thank you for your response. Sadly i already tried that and the tool says that the phone is unlocked.
I'm trying to reflash stock rom via EDL mode, but i always get some error.
By the way, when using fastboot getvar command, it says that my bootloader is locked.
So, i recently bought a poco x4 pro (veux) and flashed a custom rom using twrp. Sadly, the rom's recovery managed to overwrite twrp and when i tried to flash twrp back, i could not flash it because fastboot said my bootloader wasn't unlocked. When i tried to unlock the phone again the xiaomi tool said that the bootloader was already unlocked. So, i used the getvar command which said that my bootloader was locked. So, i remembered that i didnt turn on allow oem unlocking in developer options. Sadly, when i looked for it the setting wasn't there. I tried using Edl mode to go back to stock but with no success. I always get some failed to read hello packet error. Can someone give me any help? Im kinda getting desperate...

Go to service centre if it is critical. I have never seen such case so i couldn't help. I am afraid that you would have to pay the service centre people money for reflashing your device.
Also have you tried flashing fastboot ROM (MIUI) through fastboot? Also try to flash stock recovery rom via the recovery you have now currently.
Another thing you could try is using the Xiaomi official flashing utility (which is not unlock tool) to flash stock rom which does not require OEM unlock.
