Dear community,
I'm interested in buying USB-C- to HDMI, but wondering if I best can buy the official Motorola ReadyFor USB-C to HDMI or an alternative branche.
As one of the disadvantages is, that you can't charge at the same time when the ReadyFor USB-C to HDMI adapter is plugged in.
I found for instance DINTO USB-C HUB 3x USB to and 4K HDMI adapter, but is that one compatible and with this one I can actually charge and use the USB-C to HMDI at the same time?
It might look to good to be truth? What do you think? I already asked the seller, but they just say, try it, you can always send it back, but I want to avoid that.

Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone had technical expertise or info on what points one could try soldering to in order to get a Qi charging mod working for this tablet? I had done one based on instructions for the Nexus 7, and would be interested in doing a wireless charging mod for the note.
I was just curious if anyone has looked into this? I searched the net and couldn't seem to find anything on it.
Based on what I found below, it would seem that I run one wire from the Qi pad to pin 6 (+ve 5v 1.8a "V_ACCESSORY_5.0V P") and one to pin 16 (HC GND High current Ground, -ve). Based on how small it is I would be looking for alternate solder spots I would imagine.

Would this contraption work?
Would it charge the phone or just blow up the micro USB connector?

Wall adapter + USB A male to USB A male cable + OTG cable + Phone.
My concern is, that the phone will think it's a flash drive (or something like that) and start providing 5V power.
It would work, no problem
Sent from my Nexus 5
I would also say that you should have no problems with your contraption....There is only a certain amount of charge that the Nexus 5 will accept. By now, you have probably already tried it. How did it work? Which OTG are you using? I bought the Analogix Slimport SP1003 a couple months ago. It's one of the best phone accessories I have ever purchased! Watching free movies and TV shows is awesome!
Agree, I have Slimport and it has taken my Nexus5 to a whole new level for entertainment!!

Yo thank you so much I just ordered one with that code! I hate taking my original charger to work with me I always feel like it will break down over time from heavy handling this saves me Fri that problem.
Aliexpress.com will have their big annual sales on 11/11 and Tronsmart is one of the featured brands.
Thanks for the code, I just ordered 2 of them. Awesome price!
Considering how screwed up the 5V3A situation is, I decided to jump off that bus and order some regular, high quality, low price, 2.4A (per port) Aukey chargers that can be used with cheap ass cables that no one wants. They will be Type A to Type C so other phones and tablets can use them. And no QC 2.0 because they are about 1/2 the price and if QC 2.0 or 3.0 becomes an issue with other devices in my house, I will buy new ones. The car charger is $12.99 (They sell a bigger one for $6.99) on Amazon and the wall one is $7.99. Google's massive FUBAR solved!

OP/mods can this thread be closed/deleted? Looks like a dupe here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/accessories/jumping-off-3a-bus-t3241826
Need something for my motorcycle.
I just hooked this up but it's not charging.
It's connected, but not charging.

Did you test it with another phone/device? I can only guess but i guess its not related to the P7Pro.
P7P prefers PD...
It also seems to require data pins to work - a cheap "shunt 5V into the port" 2 wire charger won't work apparently.
This one should work:
https://www.amazon.ca/Outlet-Charger-Waterproof-Adapter-Motorcycle/dp/B09D34DTTZ
These only works on very simple devices. Like a flashlight, or a radio
Thanks, guys.
One of the two leads will charge it.
Not sure why the other one doesn't.
So, I swapped the leads.
The other lead is charging a low-power GPS device.
I'm going to check the device that kodabmx posted.
I missed it in my previous shopping search!
