Before buying a used iPhone:
1. Verify the IMEI number:
This step checks to see if the phone has been blacklisted by Apple:
https://swappa.com/imei
Please note that the above link is a 3rd party site.
2. Check the activation lock:
This step makes sure the phone is not a stolen phone. Apple has the iCloud website to check the activation:
https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/
3. Reset the iPhone:
Before buying an iPhone, please remove current owner's Apple ID from Settings > iCloud. Then go to General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings to remove everything from the iPhone.
This is true for Android phones too. Remember to remove all accounts on the device before doing a factory reset. Failure to do so will trigger FRP (Factory Reset Protection) and you'll not be able to use your device without logging into one of the accounts present before the factory reset.

Can 'happen that you come into possession of a smartphone that does not recognize the SIM especially if we buy products online. Here's how to know if the IMEI has been blocked by the operator:
The verification operation is quite simple: just connect to this link:http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr
enter data dell'IMEI (as we know you can 'see through the combination * # 06 # on the keypad of our smartphone) and press "Analyse". In This tests the IMEI.
If the IMEI is not blocked will appear voice: Very likely.
If the IMEI was blocked and the council 'to request a replacement as soon as possible and present the facts as we can get your hands on a stolen smartphone.

Hello anyone... Please i would like to know if this (what i read on a blog) is real or how can it be acheived!
*** INTRO STORY***
I am from Lagos,Nigeria. In my country, the charge for data on Android, iPhone and Window Devices are very exorbitant. Users of these devices (Who cant afford it) have been yelling and complaining to Network providers but all to no avail. But the Blackberry device users enjoy SO MUCH data for a very good price. It is said its because of its data compression which the device has is what makes it so.
With just $6.15 (NGN1000) Blackberry Device users can get a data cap of 3GB for 1Month, which the same $6.15 can only give 200MB to an Android user for same 1Month... The Android user will pay $18.44 to get 1GB/Month of data on an average Nigerian Network.
Thats what we android users face in my Country. Sometimes we try to tweak the android device to use the Blackberry Internet Service Plan (BIS) data plan but it would not work out. A long time ago, changing the APN of an Android phone to "blackberry.net" makes the Blackberry plan work on the Android but was later detected and blocked by the network providers. It is said the Network providers use a software which reads a phone's IMEI and detects if its a Blackberry device or an Android device before allowing it to use the subscribed plan.
***THE MAIN QUESTION***
I read in a blog that one can now change the IMEI of Android device to a Blackberry so the Network Providers' Software would be tricked into thinking the phone is a Blackberry device and allowed to used the Blackberry Internet Service Plan (BIS). I didnt believe this cos i always think ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!!
>>> Heres the procedure to CHANGING THE IMEI. <<<
A Software GIPBB is download and installed on a PC, This software generates the BB IMEI.
The IMEI is noted down for later use.
Then TERMINAL EMULATOR is launched and SU granted on the Android device and the following command is launched.
'AT+EGMR=1,7,"IMEI_NUMBER"'>/dev/pttycmd1
Reboot and its done...
So i will like to know, IS THIS FOR REAL?. Is it possible? Can that be achieved? I will like the Android Dev Gurus to help with this. Also if theres a means to achieve this, I'm sure we will welcome it at a reasonable price.
Thanks...
Dear all,
I have a question about smartphone use(ers)
We have a number of smartphones here, the Huawei P9 Lite / P20 Lite which have the latest update on Android 8 / EMUI8.0.0.
But sometimes these phones are delivered back to us with an FRP and the user is no longer present in the meantime at the company.
So now we want to come up with something that we no longer have the FRP (Google FRP) '' preferably free '' Because enterprise solutions such as MobileIron, we do not really have much money for the company at the moment.
Are there solutions where the end user does not use the 'core account' but has a kind of guest account.
Because I know that Google has '' guest modes '', but I cannot find these types of solutions on the phones that we have that do not have FRP.
someone who can give tips?
I only get to see '' Android 5 '' on Google, not really specific to our devices.
Hello forks am in need of flashing my Samsung A02s which has got a locked bootloader, I purchased it on installment(pay daily to own for 365days) from one of the service providers here.. Fully paid but won't allow me to flash a new rom because I feel like upgrading it android 11 not only that I have been stuck in a way where I can't enable developer options since build a number won't unlock them even if you tap it for like forever... I contacted my IT admin who is (.............) Uganda and they said they don't allow it even if fully paid for..
But all I need is to use my mobile freely without any limitations and it is the one am using even to text this massage...
The one only message they give is that they don't want anyone tweaking with their software + if I go purchase another product from their company so they can easily track again from my phone......I do need and accept any help given.....for father information on assistance please help me on [email protected]
