Are you seeing improved battery life with OneUI 5.1 Mar'23 security patch?
I'm seeing a good improvement, although it is just one charge cycle since the update.
My SOT crossed 7 hours after a very long time.
Snapdragon variant here. I'm in March security patch. Stock One UI 5.1. Battery saver disabled. My phone is telling me that my battery will last two days. I think it's a good performance, probably slightly better than before One UI 5.1.

I just got my phone recently its new and battery life has been abysmal. This is on lowest brightness and indoor use with wifi. And some light usage on data.

Are you on the Mar'23 Android Security Patch?
I see an app called 'Boost'. Uninstall all that junk first.

Didn't know that. Thanks for clarifying.
I'm noticing some improvements in battery life since the Mar'23 update. I get about 5 hours SOT and 12 hours standby on average (mostly on WiFi).
Display resolution is FHD+ (don't use QHD because there isn't much content at that resolution) and refresh rate is Adaptive. Location remains OFF most of the time. Bluetooth ON and connected to my watch. I have turned OFF Adaptive Battery as well as RAM Plus.
How are your settings?
QHD, Adaptive refresh rate, Location is On, No ram plus, no BT, Most use is on wifi, 5g band disabled, UWB also disabled. Idle drain is still quite bad

This is a problem with my phone too, although it is somewhat better now. My battery loses about 1.5% per hour if I leave everything ON on standby.

Samsung really needs to fix the idle drain honestly. My old phone used like 1-2% overnight without wifi practically no idle drain. I wish they add the light performance profile found on s23 ultra.

Yeah, waiting for it. But i don't know how that is different from the existing 'Optimised' profile.
If I turn OFF all smart features, then the idle drain reduces to 0.5% per hour.

I will say I have roughly the same battery usage stats. I’m getting roughly 1-1.2% per hour on idle and 15% per hour screen on.
I usually have a mix of WiFi on and off, location set to device only, sync on, no BT, no AOD and usually 4G with 3-4 bars reception.
What I find to be severely draining is travelling fast, like driving. It’ll easily drain 5 per cent per hour.

I find that turning Google Location History OFF in the settings improves battery life.
Looks like this thread as gone quiet, the battery life on the Note FE has dropped quite sharply since moving on to Oreo. Mainly cause by the cell-standby time.
However, from the looks of it (without root). The options are quite limited, especially if you have recently updated to the latest. It moves Binary 3, and Knox will not allow to downgrade to a previous version. Flashing a Binary 1 (Nougat) radio will end up your phone showing "baseband unknown".
Mostly on Wifi. Moderate use (and lots of YouTube).
5h+ a day
I'm often turning on meduim power saving mode and it's not limiting my device's performance or any thing.
It may last about 4 to 5 with power saving mode turned off. Of course all of this is on FHD resolution i haven't tested WQHD resolution yet.

Not great, please update your OS and disable 5G if you do not currently have the service available.
A New OS update came out a few hours ago, optimizing the system power consumption and reduces heat generation.

Whole day wifi on with mobile data off
I recently got a Mi 10 Lite and the battery seems to drain about 20% every night which seems very excessive to me. Last night for example it was on 71% when I went to sleep at 12 am and woke up 7 hours later to see it on 50%. I installed Battery Guru to help give more insight as I don't think MIUI's battery stats are the most accurate and it seems Xiaomi's security center is sitting at the top with 72% battery usage. This seems very high to me.
I do have a pi hole server on my network so is it possible that something on my phone is trying to phone home and can't get through?
The only thing that is on at night is wifi - GPS, bluetooth even 5G is off.
Has anyone experienced this on their device? I know I can try a Xiaomi.eu rom but I wanted to keep things as stock as possible for sometime.
I am wondering what else I can try?

I updated mine to Global 12.0.3 last week and mine seems to be losing a lot of battery overnight. Sync is turned off and there's minimal apps on my phone anyway. Mine seem to lose 20-30% overnight and it didn't before i updated.
Mine has lost 9% since it turned on at 7am this morning - so 8 1/2 hours. I'll leave it on overnight tonight, but your loss does seem excessive. I'm also on 12.0.3 Global.
Did a bit of an experiment last night. Put my phone on airplane mode and then turned WiFi back on. My phone only lost 2% battery during 8 hours overnight. I understand the cell radio uses a fair bit of battery but I wouldn't have thought 20% in 8 hours overnight in standby.
Is it possibly my sim card that might need updating, it is 4 or 5 years old? Unless it's just MIUI12 that doesn't play well with certain radios? Either way it definitely seems to be a radio issue.
I have noticed that when it's in standby for a long time with the cell on the MIUI Security Center jumps to the top of the battery list with a very high percentage of battery usage. Every time. Not sure what that would be.
Very frustrating. Maybe I should try a hard reset.
Mine has lost 30% in 36 hours, everything turned on except 5G as I'm nowhere near a 5G signal. Which seems about right for my normal usage.

MIUI 12 was released within a few days of me getting the handset - I don't remember doing a hard reset, but it is possible. Definitely didn't after the newest update to 12.0.3 though.

I just got my One Plus 9 (LE 2110) today. It came with 16% charge out of the box and I charged it up to 100%.
My battery is now at 15% at 4hrs SOT. I only do facebook and messenger most of the time. I also tested some camera functions for a short period of time.
Is it normal or will it improve on the next charging cycles? Thank you.
I'm on Oxygen OS 11.2.10.10 build btw.

My last SOT is better with 5hr and 30mins. I optimized a bunch of apps. And I don't feel that much heating compared on the 1st time using it.
What is your usual SOT under normal usage?
That's absolutely terrible battery life.

Turning off 120hz and 5G have huge battery gains but even with them on I still get 7-8 hours.
11h14m is the best I have gotten so far (see the screenshot) but I don't push to 0 so I probably would have hit 12h.

I am using OOS 12. The c44 ROM that dropped and then was pulled. You have to manually flash it. I don't have the issues others have complained about so I haven't reverted to OOS 11. The battery is phenomenal, just beware that you will have to go into the settings for apps you want to receive notifications from and enable background battery usage.

Why is it a deal breaker? The phone charges from zero to full in half an hour.
That said, 5G and 120hz are huge drains. You get at least 20% more battery shutting them off.
I got my first pixel about 1 month ago and I have to say that it has the best battery life of any smartphone I have used. It is even better than the LG V30s and V50 which i think had great battery life. It is definitely better than my S21 5G (exynos). It is very efficient during use and really awesome in standby. However, I am not rooted and I have disabled 5G and AOD. I attached some screenshots. Note that I was on wifi about 85% of the time and my usage won't be the same as yours. But this is just to give an indication of what could be achieved with the pixel 6a.

we dont like discussing Iphone here in fact i think it is out of bounds per rules also.
So, if I understand battery on 6a is now better than average?
How about heat management, does the phone tend to get warm or hot on basic tasks or prolonged use?
I have never noticed any heating issue at all although i never game on phones.
