Fastboot and root possible for blackview oscal c80? - General Topics

I tried different stuff but nothing worked so far. Not even the fastboot unlock. I did not find a guide either. Is there a way?

Hello! Another interested... I can't find much information about this phone

I just bought this phone recently off Amazon, I bought it because it was cheap and my note 20 ultra had died. It was on sale and seemed a no brainer. After purchase I started looking it up and I found a page that claimed blackview will supply unlock codes per request. At the time I didn't have the phone yet so i didn't look into it very thoroughly. But may be a place to start.
What brought me here now that I have the phone is there isn't much mention of this phone on here I was hoping I might find some information about an option in developer options that looks like its supplying me with android 13 and 14 pre-release images that I can flash? I don't want to just go ahead and flash them as it seemed odd to me they were there at all.
Do you guys have this in yours?

How Long Before Rooting My Moto G LTE?

Hello, all!
I've been an iPod Touch + Nokia flip-phone user for many years, and just last week I finally purchased an unlocked Motorola Moto G LTE (XT1045) to replace them both. So, since I'm new to the Android world, I have come to ask this question:
How long would you recommend I wait before rooting my device? There are some features that would REALLY like (moving entire apps to SD card (I was a bit dismayed to find that when moving all my apps to the SD card, it only saved a very, very small amount of storage space), as well as being able to prioritize memory usage for apps, Titanium backup, underclocking while phone is locked, etc.). I'm viewing this phone more like a very mobile computer than I did my iPod Touch I always carried, and as such I am expecting more of it.
The reason I ask is I am wondering how long it will take for good support to start showing up for custom ROMs and stuff. Since this is my first time rooting a device, I would like there to be a decent amount of documentation, and would also like the majority of the bugs worked out of anything involving rooting for this specific phone.
On a side note, does anyone know of a way to unlock the bootloader without going through Motorola's site? I've read that by going through there to get the unlock code, you are basically registering your phone as "not under warranty." So, if something that is clearly a manufacturing defect (like charging connector becoming loose or something like that) shows up in a month, I'd like to be able to un-root it to send it in.
Thanks in advance!

BUMP.
I got to thinking about it, and since I am actually going to be outside of the country for the next 10 months, so my warranty is pretty much useless anyway. Shipping it back would require removing the battery, which in turn would void the warranty.
So, at this point my only question is how long would you recommend to wait to root my phone in order for there to be good documentation, and good support for custom ROMs and stuff?
Thanks!

I have an old Mobiltab Sleek I would like to upgrade.....

....and by old, I mean, this thing has got to be 6 or 7 years old, now. I lost the charger for a few years, so I didn't use it.
Now, I found the charger, the tablet seems to be charging (I've yet to ascertain if it will hold that charge, but, whatever). I have use for it, to use the HDMI output to connect to a TV, and just generally use around the house for browsing, games, etc.
My problem is that there seems to be absolutely zero support for this thing. The manufacturer hasn't released a single update; I'm stuck on some bastardization of Gingerbread 2.3. I can't find any custom ROMs that support the device. I have no clue what tablet it's a clone of or anything. There was only one result on the forums here, from 2011, and with no responses (unless I missed something).
I don't expect to have the latest-and-greatest, but am curious what may be available out there. I have flashed custom ROMs on phones before, so, am not altogether unfamiliar. And a YouTube video (from 2011/12) had a product rep at some convention who said they are all rooted, so, that's one less headache.
Any help would be much appreciated, even if it's simply to direct me to resources where I can discover what my upgrade options are, at least to find out what version of Android I can use and tools for building my own custom ROM (yes I know it's time-consuming, I probably would just deal w/ Gingerbread at that point).
Thank you!!

Recoverying the Memories

Hey!
So basically this idea came of nowhere...
I just found my old Nexus 7 somewhere in my room and decided to check if it still works, it didn't, BUT, I have contacted with my friend, who is much better in electronics hardware and overall has more engineer experience than me, who suggested to check the battery capacity and connection with the battery. It seems that did the job, because after pulling out it and putting it back did the job. Yes!
In the following days, I have also recovered my Xperia Mini Pro (Sk17i) successfully, now running Android 6 with Class 6 Card (yes, I know that is a nightmare, but there is a new one on the way with the current largest speeds), anyway, I decided to give my Nexus 6 to my friend as a gift, as he had much worse phone. While we found the best ROM for him, I told him about my great day with the Nexus 7, Mini Pro then he told me he also has an Alcatel One Touch which seems having a Bootlop, it didn't last long, because I have managed to flash and install some Xperia Rom (2.3.6) on it.
I was so happy that I have decided to check what is up with my old X10 Mini Pro (u20i), it seems it actually good, but it does not. The phone itself vibrates upon turning on and I can even enter flash mode, so I have used Flashtool to recover the original Android 2.1 on it (since SEUS is dead) and it seems it does turn on again, but it does not, the problem is that the screen lights up, but nothing appears, just like the Nexus 7 did (that did some sort of flickering, too). Is there any chance you guys have any suggestion what could be the problem? I have ordered a new battery into it BST-38 on eBay and a new display from AliExpress, that might does the job.
Wonder if you guys have any tips on it?

Switching android rom on cheap AliExpress phone

Hi. New here. Have learned a lot from this forum about using ADB and playing with my phone a bit.
I bought a cheap 100 and change android off Ali express. They sell smaller sized handsets which seem less common these days on the mainstream market.
The phone boasts good specs online. It has no brand on it or make model number anything. The back pops off old-school like and doesn’t say anything.
when I check the imei on imei.info it comes back to a
Make: I-MOBIL C
model: I-MOBIL DE CV
It’s advertised as an Ip13mini. I think it’s rooted. Comes with developer options turned on. No set up screen it brings you right to the Home Screen. It’s android. But the icon pack are iPhone icons.
it functions poorly. Connects to wifi but play store won’t download apps. Try to sideload app files and there’s an error. Try to debloat with ADB and it says —user 0 unknown or something.
The guy only responds with ‘my phone work normal’
what else. Oh. Even though you can’t do anything with the phone, the battery drains rapidly like, every few seconds it drops a bit.
Can I flash anothe rom onto this thing? The searching I did shows me download instructions for many roms android lineage etc but for specific handsets.
is there a generic stock android or any OS for that matter that I can put into this phone? And where can I find instructions on how to do the flashing?
I have a good laptop to assist me.
I got the 256gb version expecting a semi smooth android experience at least. I’ve had other cheap Chinese phones and some had stellar performance and zero bloat. I’ll attach a pic of the screen with its specs.
hoping to learn something new since I never flashed a custom rom before.

Got a random phone that looked like a P40 Pro off Ebay...what should I do before I return it?

Hi all,
I wish my first post on this forum could've been under better circumstances butttt I figure better safe than sorry:
So ultimately I should've looked a little closer into this phone, but I jumped the gun wayyy to quickly on a purchase from eBay. I wasn't super concerned about condition and details because I just wanted to use the Huawei p40 camera...and I figured if this had been a knock-off with the same camera then I could make it work.
I saw it, it initially looked like a P40 Pro+, the model said P40 Plus...but I should've looked much closer at the visual details.
I get it and basically it has a random generic OS on it, slow mo doesn't work, many other things don't work.
I was originally trying to get the Huawei camera app on in and tried to connect a USB drive...that didn't work. So I connected it briefly to my linux desktop. It kept unmounting as a regular device...kept unmounting as a camera...(when it was mounted, it would say "the name is not activatable" when I tried to click on it), it also had a "virtualCDROM" option which had a PDF file in it...I was not about to open that though.
The only other thing I did, was try to download the camera app over the internet, but I used my phone's hotspot because I wasn't about to hook this thing up to my Wifi. I only connected it briefly though and changed the hotspot password before and after I connected the phone.
Ultimately if it had the right camera hardware I wouldn't complain because I literally just wanna be able to shoot the super slow mo that the p40 pro can do....but it looks like it's camera is just some cheap thing as well. It claims to have a 32MP mode and 16MP mode but the "32MP" image was 2560x1920 and the "16MP" image is 1536x2048
So now that I plan to return it, I had some questions here:
1. Since I connected it to my computer, are there any processes/apps or anything that it could have tried to auto-install? I've been eyeing up my process monitor ever since and it doesn't look like anything's changed. (running Pop!OS 22.04)
2. Should I do anything to the device before I try to return it? I'll likely factory reset it but I'm wondering if it could've somehow pulled information that I'm not aware of. I 100% didn't log into any accounts or anything like that on the phone.
For the future reference of others, my phone seems to almost exactly be the phone discussed in this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-thread-ask-any-question-noob-friendly.2257421/
Thanks in advance for any help!
