So I was attempting to bypass the throttling and I messed up and got in a boot loop. I resolved the problem and this thread describes my current situation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...trying-to-flash-kernel.4564027/#post-88272499
The thread changed topics so I decided to make a new one with my new question. Does anyone know how I can bypass this throttling? Additionally, is it possible to install android 11 or 12, other roms, or other kernels?
I'm a bit unsure of what I can do and how I can do it, and I'm hesitant to try anything on my own after the misery I created for myself today, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

So, I have scoured the forums and have not yet found a solution to my current problem.
I was able to originally root my phone using the moto-fastboot method that has been posted on these threads several times to root my phone. Upon rooting I installed some standard applications to remove bloatware and toy with some of the hardware settings. I worked great. I got a little bit too confident and decided to put a custom rom on it without properly backing up(I thought I did).
So I got stuck into bootloop. Upon searching your extremely handy and helpful forums I found a way to install a new sbf and unbrick my phone using RSD lite. The operating system in now working, but it will not make or receive phone calls or data.
Possibly pertinent information:
System version: 45.0.43.MB867.ACG-nTelos.en.US (this is probably way off)
Model: Milestone X2
Android: 2.3.6
Baseband: N_03..13.56P
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-00011-gbc368b9 [email protected] #2
Build Number: 45.0.43
ERI: Version 5
PRL: Version 21100
My Phone number: 000-000-5761 (obviously not correct)
MIN: 0000005761
MEID: A000002C5D4811
Network: nTelos (I have no idea where that network even is)
Signal Strength: -101dBm 0 asu
Mobile network type: CDMA -1xRTT
Service State: In Service
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
I tried again to root my phone to try to put a custom rom on it, but when I try the moto-fastboot method upon entering the command thru abd shell /preinstall/su I get the error "Permission Denied". I have tried the superoneclick method, Pete's method, z4 root, and droid 3 easy root. I am at quite a loss here on what to do next.
Does anyone know of a way I could maybe use the default android recovery to install the proper rom for my phone and where to get the proper rom?
Alternatively, does anyone know where I can get the proper sbf file for the CSpire Motorolla Milestone X2?
I have been searching for a few days, so please don't get mad if I have overlooked a thread. I was very hesitant about posting this thread because I am not a very active member of your forums and I wanted to make sure I searched a lot before asking the same question over again.
I am not saying the problem I am having is completely unique, but I have not seen anyone with my problem. Since my phone is currently useless as a phone I am willing to try a lot more methods.
Update: I have successfully rooted my phone again using this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1823112
Given that I now have root access are there any new options to get my phone to work?
should post in DX2 forum, may get better help
I am going to close this thread per advice and move to another forum section.

Hello, how are you? My S8+ G955FD won't boot past the SAMSUNG logo. I am able to access the menu with the Power+Bixby+Vol+, but I don't know which option to use. I selected all of them twice.
The phone is not rooted and the bootloader has never been changed from it's original configuration. While trying to find a solution the question regarding the bootloader was sometimes asked. I don't know if it's locked or not, just that it has never been changed. The current and original OS is a carrier unlocked version. I have never enabled developer settings.
I know this question has been asked before, but I was just too overwhelmed by the number of results and couldn't find the guide for the S8+. I definitely found guides for other models and other brands of phones. I just need a working phone, it doesn't matter if it has root permissions or if the OS is version 1. I can forego the data, and will be happy with any kind of OS. The non-carrier specific would be best, my provider is Docomo. Please, how can I get my phone to boot properly again?
In an attempt to fix this I read through a some guides to flash the OS, most of them require that developer settings and usb debugging be enabled and I have never done that, nor do I know how to enable those without accessing the settings since the phone won't boot. So I didn't do anything beyond reading the directions and I feel stuck. What information can I provide that will help you walk me through to the solution? Thank you and may you have a wonderful day!

I have tried various methods without success. I started poking around here and found this forum in hopes someone would know how. I simply want to enable tethering and hotspot on this phone. Everything I read says I need to root the phone.
Can someone help me?
Hey Yall, Ive spent roughly the last 3 weeks or so reading threads on root/roms for Samsung Galaxy devices. So many that I cant remember all the models I read them for. I successfully rooted an S7 that I bought to replace my broken cricket phone just to find out it was incompatible with cricket .. Anyway I purchased a Galaxy SM-A015AZ
eMMC Check: Model- Samsung a01qtu
eMMC Chip: Type- QE63MB
One UI Core: 2.0
Android: 10
Build: QP1A.190711.020.A015AZUCS2ATJ1
Service Provider Software Version: SAOMC_SM-A015AZ_AIO_AIO_QQ_0019
security Patch: 10/1/2020
Kernel: 4.9.186-18934666
OEM Unlock tab is not visible but on adb command results "1" (i believe thats unlocked)
qualcomm lock still active
FRP still enabled
I dont care about Knox
Was wondering if anyone can help me with instructions to gain root on this phone, and the possibility of a privacy based rom (no google/samsung intrusions)
Im not really familiar with lineage or its features, so I dont know if it would accomplish that. Or maybe a linux based Rom (That would be cool)
Anyway please if anyone can point me to threads or forums that can help me (my searches have led nowhere) Or help me out getting something going for this phone I would much appreciate

Thanks, Cricket sucks in the fact that they wouldnt even let me check the firmware and build number on the phone until it was purchased..
Does Anybody know of a reasonably priced phone I could look for that can be fully Rooted/Rom without all the google/samsung (big brother watching BS) ?? Was looking at the librem phones from purism, but they are way outta my price range..
OR-- would it be a possibility to still do something with either my S7 or the A01 through a different carrier??

The answer is that the bootloader is fused electronically, you can only flash an equal or higher version bootloader/firmware.
It's a hardware protection implemented by most phone manufacturers, and there's no known way around it.
If there was, we would have root on all bootloader versions by simply downgrading it, but no can do.
Don't lose too much sleep over it, lots of very smart guys have tried already to no avail.
The only way, is by unlocking the bootloader which is protected with a 256bit AES key, so good luck.
VoLTE won't work on the "U" unlocked firmware even if it's flashed with Cricket/ATT firmware, unless it has an original ATT IMEI (yeah ATT blows!). There's no way around it, it's controlled by the network.

Nice.
Can you please share the exact method you carried on?
Follow the guide here to install TWRP and disable force encryption: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-official-twrp-3-7-for-galaxy-a52-4g-and-a72-4g.4405751/
After that just flash Magisk.
Greetings to the XDA Team and all the other good people,
I want to root my Samsung Galaxy A52 4G, and just wanted to ask where should I start so I do it successfully, without upside-down moments. I already updated my phone to the latest, so now the phone is running Android 13.
I am a beginner in this, I educated myself from some videos online and on the XDA forum and saw that I can make my device more secure with root, I can disable system and apps trackers.
So my first question is, do I need to downgrade to Android 12 so the success rate becomes higher or I can stick with Android 13 and still get success for the end goal?
My second question is if what I wrote above this is a truth.
The third question is, how do I get my device running again if rooting fails?
The forth question is, can I unroot my device if I want it at some moment?
My fifth and last question is, is rooting worthy and needed so I can achieve my goals?
I still think I know nothing and want to expand my knowledge, so I ask people who are masters in this field to help me out with this, so I can become happier.
Thanks for considering my request.

You can do root your phone. But you should not be panic. carefully read instructions and do it with patient without skipping none of the steps.
I'm also not an expert. but i have done rooting of more than 10 phones without failing.
you have to unlock your boot loader before rooting.
I doubt about your statement about device becomes more secure with root. it depends on what you do alter followed by root. yes you can improve privacy.
also your banking apps may stop work after rooting. so you have to apply necessary modules (security fixes) before get them start working again.
if rooting failed provided phone is not hard bricked, you can flash your original firmware to restore the phone. what i always do is keeping all the original firmware ready with me before doing any rooting.
yes. you can unroot by flashing original firmware.
last question is difficult to answer. majority of people use their phones without rooting. if you want to be different, it's up to you.
