Honor phone locked - General Questions and Answers

Hello. I have a little bit of a problem with an Honor phone.
So, a "family friend" just gave me her honor phone (no idea which one it is, looks pretty old), and asked me if I can somehow get into the phone as she is logged in her facebook account there. So basically I just need to somehow get into the phone so she can change her Facebook email or phone number of the account or something.
When I turn on the phone, it asks for the PIN of course. Now my question is, can I somehow access FB app or somehow unlock the phone without paying too much for certain software?
All she really needs is an access to that facebook account that is logged in on that phone so that she can get the account back.
Thanks.

1. If USB-Debugging ( AKA ADB ) got succesfully enabled on phone, then you by means of ADB can bypass / remove Google's FRP lock. Howto in detail explained here:

2.You can change FB's account details from inside PC.

Xiaomi phone - forgot lock screen pattern, now I cannot log into it

Hello all,
My sister recently bought a Xiaomi smartphone for her 12-year old son. But after just a few months, her son forgot the lock pattern that he had use on the phone, as he was constantly changing it.
So, now the phone is working Ok, but we cannot log into it, as we do not know the pattern.
We have his credentials for the google account, and the Xiaomi (Mi) account.
However, t here is no option to use them to unlock the phone.
We also tried to contact Xiaomi, they asked for the Mi account credentials, and after we provided these credentials to Xiaomi, they sent us an SMS with a code...which did NOT work!
So, I don't really know what to do, except to us for help, as none of us is very technical.
I found this program (Mi account unlock tool), but since it is not an official Xiaomi program, I am scared that maybe it is a virus or something like this - do you think I should use it?
If not, then how can I unlock the phone?
I am OK with doing a factory reset, and losing all settings and data that are currently on the phone, if that is necessary.
Also, please note that when I press the power button and the volume up button, I do NOT get an options menu, I get a picture with a phone and a usb cable - probably the phone wants me to connect it to the computer, but I am not sure about what the next step should be.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you

Bypass unlock pattern

Hi,
I want to start off with saying this isn't a stolen phone.
A friend of mine his uncle recently passed away and there are alot of questions about it.
He had a galaxy s7 which has an unlock pattern, is there any way to bypass it so we can take a look at his last messages? It doesn't have usb debugging enabled.
We also have his pc, but it is password protected, if we can get in we hope he is logged in , in its google account, but that is a long shot.
Any help is much appreciated!
There is a pc program called drphone or something like thay and it claims to be able to remove patterns and pin codes however you have to pay for it...also I'm sure if you bring the pc to a computer shop they will be able to remove the password...best of luck
If the phone is up to date, the exploits are likely all patched.
With a death certification most businesses do offer services for recovering data within reason, carriers can pull SMS records, and social media can provide access to certain data. That may be a more realistic approach.
Assuming you have TWRP go into the file manager found in advanced and go to /data/system and delete the locksettings.db or gesture.key
Hope I helped

Unlocking Bootloader

Looking for a little clarity on the bootloader unlocking procedure -- maybe I'm getting old, because I'm a bit lost.
No, not maybe -- I'm definitely getting old...
I've just received my Mi Mix 3 with MIUI Global, updated to 10.2 Stable OTA this afternoon, and my SIM card is inserted and working.
I have a Xiaomi account -- set it up when I got some of their Yeelight light strips a year or so ago -- and I can log in to the account at https://account.xiaomi.com. I've gone through the initial setup on the Mi Mix 3, adding the Mi account on the phone, and it shows I'm successfully logged in. I've enabled developer options, and in the developer options settings I've enabled both USB debugging and OEM unlocking. When I go into Settings -> Developer Options -> Mi Unlock Status, I'm prompted to agree to the necessary permissions for Mi Unlock to access my account, and I agree. The page then shows "This device is locked/The phone is secured" with a blurb about why the device should remain locked, then the steps to take to unlock the device if you understand and accept the risks. The steps it displays are:
1. Insert SIM card -- done
2. Turn off WiFi and use mobile data -- done
3. Tap "Add account" button to associate Mi account with this device -- done, with a success notification
4. Download unlock tool from website -- and here it gets iffy...
I go to http://en.miui.com/unlock, and click the Unlock button, then download the Mi Unlock Tool. I unzip into an empty directory, and run the miflash_unlock.exe as Administrator. In the app, I agree to the disclaimer, and enter my account details, then watch the spinner while the app checks to see if my Mi account has permissions. After a few seconds, I receive the error:
Account application area query failed
This repeats indefinitely if I accept the application's offer to "Try Again".
Does anyone know what this means? Does it mean my request to unlock has been denied? Maybe I'm stuck in the 72 hour waiting period I've heard about (though nothing on my phone, on the website, or in the unlock application indicates anything about a 72 hour wait)? Or is the app unable, for some undisclosed reason, to access my Mi account information? I'm a little stumped, here.
Looks like _maybe_ I've figured it out... Downloaded an older version of the unlock utility (v3.3.525.23). Gets me past the "Account application area query failed" error. Now, when trying to unlock, I'm getting this:
Couldn't unlock
After 71 hours of trying to unlock the device
Which I'm interpreting as meaning I just have to wait the 3 days.

Yes, sounds like you have it working, its just a waiting game now.

Locked out of my phone because of FRP.

Hi everyone,
First of all, sorry for my english, it's not my native language.
My brother gave me his Samsung Galaxys A50 stating that he couldn't remember his lock screen password and wanted me to fix it. Maybe that's where I ****ed up, but I went straight into recovery mode and wiped to factory reset. Note: there was no USB Debugging or OEM Unlock options active. The phone booted back up and, as usual, I had to enter my Google credentials so that it can verify my identity and let me continue with the setup process. It prompted me to 2FA and I first inserted the code I received on the phone number associated to the Goggle account. Then, it send another code on my brother secondary address mail linked to the first's one. But the email never arrived. It didn't matter how many times I tried refreshing the page or searching into every Gmail folder, the email was nowhere to been seen. And as if it wasn't enough, the primary mail address was locked because of too many tries. I tried everything, using ADB from the recovery is obviously working only for adb sideload and not for adb shell. Neither does fastboot work, as it can't even recognize the phone in Download mode because it is still locked. I even tried flashing directly TWRP with Odin but it still wouldn't work, again because of the bootloader being locked. Odin gets stuck on the NAND write part. I searched for a way to unlock the bootloader/root/enable USB debugging from adb but can't seem to find anything. I found 2 ways to bypass Google FRP but it needs adb shell or the Google keyboard. But Samsung phones have their OEM keyboard and can't, apparently, change it to Google.
Tried to get assistance from Google but, at least in my country, you need to pay to have it.
I think my only option, if doable, is to try to find a way to flash a stock rom and pray that it won't lock the phone with FRP.
Does anyone of you know of any solutions or advice I could use?
Have I to admit defeat and pay Google, hoping that the assistance is good enough to resolve the issue?
Should I just throw it into the bin and forget about it?
Thanks to everyone who helps.
Google it.
Almost everyday we get a new member asking this. While some of the inquiries might be legitimate others are not. My dead dad, brother, aunt's phone, whatever. It's a poor start entering the forum like this, in my opinion.
All the last owner needed to do was to delete their Google account from the phone and none of this would happen. Consequences.

As I said in the post, I know all the credentials used to log in the phone, I have the phone number which was linked to the Google account and the secondary mail address linked to the primary one. So, this should be enough to prove that my inquiry is legitimate.
Also, "Google it" makes me think you haven't really read what I wrote. As I said, there seems to be not a single answer.
Third and last point, how tf was I supposed to remove the Google account if the phone was locked by the forgotten pin?
Yes, this type of inquiry is surely blasonated, but insinuating that I stoled the phone without even reading the rest of what I wrote surely isn't going to help anyone, don't you think?
Having said so, if you don't have no way to help just shush.
As @blackhawk recommended it: GOOGLE FOR A SUITABLE FRP-UNLOCK TOOL. It exists for Samsung devices, too.

Question Default password? Also conundrum

Hi XDA peoples. I come to you in times of great need, and to satisfy your curiosity.
Recently, my mother enabled biometrics on her discover banking app, specifically face ID. However, this enabled face unlock on the entire phone and, in doing so, set a password for the phone. Note, there was no password or any other authentication on this phone before - completely open device. Now she is completely locked out of the device due to the default security settings requiring a password every 4 hours. Remote unlock is disabled, so there is no hope of that working.
Now, my question is this: is there a password that the device would automatically apply if needed? And if so, does anybody know what it is?
Thanks.
Device is a T-mobile S21+, 8G RAM 128GB Storage.
I appreciate all help.
