Question [India] Missing features SPay, Google Assistant, BP and ECG missing from Samsung Watch 4 Classic - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Hi all,
After reading and searching a bunch of thread here, I have not been able to find clear answers. There are various guides for individual items. I want to collect all the information in one place, from a non-tech user perspective. (India Specific)
Missing features:
Samsung Wallet (Samsung Pay)
Google Assistant
BP and ECG monitoring
Google Wallet (Google Pay)
Others I don't know about?
Watch4 vs Watch4 Classing missing feature difference?
Partial information which I will update as I learn: (please help)
I wonder if just setting the right country's CSC code will enable samsung pay AND all the other features like assistant, BP, ECG etc...?
Get Samsung PayThe most used way I have found is to change the CSC to a country that has SPay and it seems to work for some people and not for others. most importantly, there is no going back. Hence, I have not tried this yet. I also contacted Samsung India support and they said that this feature is "Coming soon" but who knows what that means. I had Samsung Gear S3 Frontier for years and they never updated it even after promising the "Coming soon". I did the CSC change for that watch and it worked.
Is there a up to date definitive guide for Indian region that works consistently?
Get Google Assistant:Most googling will tell you to go to the play store on your watch and update the assistant app from there. But for me, the assistant app as completely missing and not showing up in search results. For example, If I go to the play store listing for Assistant, it just says "This item isn't available in your country."
Guide 1: Side Load Assistant Skip the top, go down to "How to sideload Google Assistant on the Galaxy Watch 4"
I was able to get Assistant working by side loading the apk, which is a little bit technical as you need to turn on Dev mode and enable Debugging.
IMPORTANT: Before running Assistant on watch, make sure you set the language on Assistant on your phone to English (US) and not English (India).
Get BP and ECG MonitoringThis involves a lot of steps and I have not tried it yet but this guide is the best and most recent I found:
EvilDante63's 18th Feb 2023 Video Tutorial:
(will update more as people contribute and I figure out further)

afaik we can revert csc back to INU by using shell.

Hey folks any way to l make gpay work on the watch??

Offline maps for Gear S2

I use different aplications for creating tracks/routes for trekking, hiking, cycling...
I transfer GPX (or KML) files into Locus Pro app on my phone, where I use track with offline maps for navigation. It's also important for me to have option to add points of interest on that track.
Is there any option to use that kind of navigation on Gear S2?
Ideal would be option to transfer track and map (smaller part or region) on watch, with similar onscreen guidance as for example Locus or Google Maps. (Well, Locus app for Gear S2 would probably be my biggest wish. )
Other solution would be offline maps with track (and POI) on phone and partial mirroring of screen on watch. Similar like HERE, but mora that just arrows and roundabout exits.
Apps that I found so far:
HERE - not suitable for my needs. (I use offroad maps)
Gear Navigator - can't find app in Gear Store. (Or I don't know how to make it work?) I don't know if it works completely offline.
Komoot - it takes long time to start/find location. Tested on bike route outside and lost signal/navigation several times. and it doesnt show map.
I'm guessing (but not sure) that you have a 3G watch with internal GPS, in which case when I search for "navigator" on the app store I see "Gear Navigator Standalone," which is supposed to work without getting a location from your phone over bluetooth. (I don't have a 3G, so haven't tried it.)
If you don't have a 3G variation of the S2, and thus expect to have your watch connected to your phone via bluetooth when hiking and/or biking, Samsung's android S-Health app can track your travels when you initiate hiking or biking from the watch, and the resulting track can be saved and used in other apps after the fact. But that doesn't offer on-watch turn-by-turn guidance, afaik.
I have non 3G version. I can see my location on watch (Maps for Gear) or show simple navigation instructions (HERE for Gear). So getting GPS location from phone is not an issue.
What I'm looking for is not to track my path, but showing the map/route to follow.

Don't know why you're not seeing Gear Navigator. That has the option to choose between using online Google maps data or offline Here map data from your phone, and shows turn by turn, as well as -- optionally -- a tiny map showing your location/direction. Was a bit buggy when I tried it, but that was a while ago. I've had decent luck with komoot guidance when biking; it knows my local bike paths pretty well.
There's evidence that the Gear S2's bluetooth connection is laggy. Some software developers have mentioned this. I think this shows up in the navigation apps, so that directions to turn sometimes appear a bit late, just when you're at the intersection rather than 30 seconds before. Don't know if this is hardware or software problem. (I wonder if it has to do with battery saving efforts on the part of the Gear S2's designers.)

I contacted developer of Gear Navigator and it seems that there are some regional restrictions. Developer can't add my country, because it's not "in developer panel". I contacted later Samsung in my country and they said I should contact developer about his. Not funny!
I do believe that there is in fact problem that Samsung didn't add my country to the list of countries that have (full) access to paid apps. I explained to Samsung Suppport that other app stores work already in our country (like Google Store or iTunes Store) even for paid apps. Since both devices that I use (Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Gear S2 Sport) are available in my country for purchase I expect to have access also to paid apps. I do understand that some apps are only in some regions available. But in this case, where developers wants to allow access, he is unable to do so, because my country is somehow not listed.
I've run into the Samsung support "it's the developer's problem" thing before; eventually one of them explained that things having to do with the store are just outside of their training. I wonder if there's anything we can do on this list to communicate to Samsung all the problems with their support. (The folks on the end of the phone are probably underpaid and undertrained and get blamed by their bosses if we give them bad ratings, so we'd need a way to reach somewhere higher in the system.)
OK, sorry - this is now off-topic, but may eventually partial solve (kind of) problem of navigation - if I could get access to Gear Navigator app for Gear S2.
How does Samsung define which country is in which region for access to Gear Store (or even Galaxy Store)? Is there any list of regions and countries in specific region?
(My country is part of Europe and EU member. However I can't access paid apps in Gear Store*. I guess some users from other EU countries can access paid apps in Gear Store. In this case my country must be in other region - probably. I'd like to clear this up and maybe ask someone at Samsung to change region for my country.)
* - I checked and I see only free apps also in "Galaxy App". Could be same reason. I never bothered with it, because I buy app through Google Play store.
I solved the problem - installed Gear Navigator.
I had to change the Samsung Gear Store to other country:
1. Installed VPN app on my phone
2. Cleared data for Galaxy Apps
3. Removed SIM card
4. Restart phone
5. Run VPN app (I choose region UK)
6. Run Samsung Gear Store and chose location UK
7. Browse apps that were before (for me) unavailable
9. Payment for apps works either with credit card or PayPal
I have installed (bought) all apps that I need.

you need a file manager for android, I use ES File Explorer, to open the gpx. When you touch the file the file explorer will ask you which app you want to open it with. You select Gear Navigator. You can even export GPX files from SHealth tracked running or hiking or cycling sessions and then upload it to Gear Navigator and use it to redo the same track.

Unavalible applications in Samsung Gear Apps store

Hi all,
I hope some one can advise in my question:
I can't find some applications in Samsung Gear Apps store, i 100% shure that such applications exist and available for gear s2 (for example Sleep As Android addon)
I suppose it's some restrictions for smartphone type - i use Meizu pro 5, while guys with samsung smartphones easelly can find and install it.
Maybe there is some way to make GEar app think that it installed on samsung device ?
Paid apps are not available yet in the Samsung Store for Gear S2 paired with a non-samsung smartphone. There are many threads complaining about it.

Sleep as Android addon is free app.
Paid apps are available for users of non-Samsung phones, as of several months ago (although I guess maybe some countries aren't up to date with this?).
The problem with certain apps not showing up for some people (I still can't download the Uber app, for example) seems to be that when uploading their apps to the store, developers need to activate the listing for every possible combination of phone and wearable - and some combinations, for unexplained reasons, end up being disabled. The developer of Wearable Widgets talks about this in a G+ post here: https://plus.google.com/+SterlingUdell/posts/RbswZqw8KQ5.
It might be worth contacting the developer and letting them know your specific phone and wearable, and asking them to check if they've enabled the app for that combination. If they're unable to because it's disabled by Samsung, we need to wait for Samsung to fix this ridiculous system....
I don't find the snoopy watchface with s7 edge

Question cannot select google pay as default on the watch 4

Google pay is supported in my country. (Romania)
I installed the app on the watch from the appstore, added the card , confirmed it through the bank. All fine.
Problem is that when I open the google pay app, it asks it to be set as default then redirects me to a menu to enable NFC, and there is only Samsung pay available there.
I searched a lot for this. A lot of people reported this error. Any solution to fix it ?
Sorry if this has been already discussed. I just couldnt find anything. Hence .. this post.
Many thanks,
Samsung locked it down
no way to make it work anymore ?
Yeah same on my device too.
I also tried uninstalling samsung pay through adb.
Google pay still doesnt appear. anybody finds a solution please post it here.
Might be an error with the current watch softawre (DOJA) in my case. Lets see if future updates solves it. But i doubt it.
Dont know why samsung insists on their software since its not supported here. Lets see them also allow google assistant as well so we can take full experience on this wearos watch.
Anybody finds any solution to google pay to reappear on default apps please post here.
Have a read through this post. I've done it on mine and now when I long press the bottom button G Pay opens instead of Samsung Pay.
Override hardware keys?
On Galaxy phones, the Bixby button can be overrided completely to allow for a number of customizations using 3rd party apps and ADB. Is there potential for this to work on GW4 for the Samsung Pay and Bixby shortcuts? I'd love to be able to use...
forum.xda-developers.com
i managed to sideload the google pay app and managed to configure it however whenever i reboot the watch the icon just vanishes . can you kindly advices if there is any workaround it please ?
i doubt the gpay works if its not selected as default payment app
I am facing the exact same issue. Google Pay is supported in my region but when I open the app it asks me to make it default for payments. In the NFC settings I only see the Samsung Pay app. I also uninstalled Samsung Pay through adb but GPay still asks to make it default and it is not opening.
I guess it has to do with the region the firmware was designed for (Samsung Pay is not supported here). Not sure if I can return the watch based on the fact that they sell it here with a firmware that is meant to work on another region.

Question Help needed for Galaxy Watch 4 india : activation of Google assistant, ECG and BP

Hi guys,
Its my first watch n hence am over whelmed by the information that I found regarding activation of Google assistant , ECG and BP for the indian version of the Samsung galaxy Watch 4.
I am on the latest os version one 4.5 ui but still cant figure out how to activate the google assistant.
I have already updated to the latest version on the watch but the "open on phone to activate" does nothing in the phone. Not sure where I am going wrong.
Also, I found a thread asking me to sideload the assistant go app but again there are 4 variants of the app in there. x64,x86 n what not. So couldn't understand which one to use.
Also, for ECG n BP if anyone could share any useful info on how to install them in India, it would be a great help.
Phone: Xiaomi Redmi note 10 pro ( android ver 12) ( Miui ver 13.0.5)
Watch os: 4.5 latest one in india
Thanks
I believe the Google app you want to side load is the x86 nodpi
As for the ecg and bp, Dante has a guide on this forum on how to install his modded Samsung health app on the watch and the phone to get all that working.
Hey thanks, I sideloaded the Google go assistant that I found on a "how to" guide online. But i cant set it as a default assitant in my watch. It works as long as i hit the app button in my watch. Neither can I set it as a long press shortcut instead of bixby. Funnily, I can do all this in my parents samsung phone by just changing the language.........but not in my xiaomi phone. Cant figure whats so different in them for google assistant to work on while not on the other.

Question Getting Galaxy S3 watch working with Google assistant on P7P

Yes I know the watch is old but my wife likes it, and it still functions flawlessly. I have been following the how-to videos at the following links on setting up APIs. There are additional options when I go to do this now. I download the secrets.json file, find it in the gassist app, but it doesn't work. I receive a wrong file error. Can anyone help me in getting the Google assistant API working on the Galaxy watch 3?
