Having a roku is great but the limited hulu+ is a killer. would it be possible to create a sideloaded hulu app that could play all web content to install on your roku box?
i know there was a hacked flash for my android phone to access full hulu from the browser which was awsome.
I am no programmer but was just wondering the possibilities.
Hi i have purchased a mxiii android box and own a wd my cloud 4tb nas drive. WD provide an app for mobile users to access the content on their hdd locally and away. from my android phone i can use the app to access my content and watch on my phone. However when using the app on the android box when you select any media player the same message appears saying "playback error please try refreshing your library" someone suggested putting the wd drive as a source in xbmc but my box uses kodi and cant install a normal xbmc. i want to be able to watch my personal video content via the android box. unless im accessing wd myclod through its app no other program seems to detect it as a network drive that i have tried
What is the best way to do this? or anyone else had similar issues?
Many Thanks
The system running is:
4.4.2
rooted
kodi (xbmc)
Hello,
I am traveling to Acapulco Mexico and I want to bring my amazon firestick along and be able to run Kodi. In order to avoid get blocking, I want to install a vpn, is this possible?
With Localcast I can play local video files from my android tablet to my Sony bluray, but I cannot play Kodi addon streams. Tried with multiple addons, eg. Exodus, SALTS, cCloud, Icefilms and no luck. I often have problems playing certain streams on the tablet itself (which I am willing to put up with, hey it's free!), but even when I find a reliable one there, I cannot get it to cast to my player.
Probing around, I thought this had to do with some streams including metadata. So trying it with Icefilms, which has the option to remove the metadata, it still doesn't seem to work. Can someone help with this? I have seen it done numerous times with localcast using playercorefactory.xml file and the like. I even get an icon on my target screen after I select that player in Localcast. I know it is linked on some level too, because of this and the fact that I don't seem to have a problem casting local video files.
Am I chasing a losing proposition here? Is this related to the free version of Localcast? I would be happy to purchase an app instead of using a free one if I could guarantee it would work but I just don't know. Are the streamers themselves clamping down on this kind of thing? If so, are there ways around that? I believe I have the latest build of Kodi and these addons, but I wont waste my time if that is what is happening, and there is no way around it.
Hi
Kodi can`t easily cast its content to another device , more settings and different apps are required , search on Google "Kodi cast to TV" , you may need a Chromecast device as well
We have a gym with Technogym Equipment and are located in the US. We have been asking for Technogym to add the US Streaming APPs like Youtube TV, Hulu, Sling TV, etc to their APP Store. To date they have not done that. Their IPTV and TV APP do not work well in our location. As a European company they have not made US APPs their priority.
Unity APP and Hardware is an Android Tablet device with Android 5. The Technogym APP store has Netflix and Youtube. They work fine.
Is there anyone on the forum that has experience with the Technogym Hardware and done any side loading of APPs? How would we go about loading Youtube TV? What issues if any would we run in to with the account data?
Any help would be appreciated.
