Question POCO X3 PRO BRICKED - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

my POCO X3 PRO was in the ArrowOS A13 ROM, I modified some things like the Adreno Drivers to version 615 worked perfect, the next day I updated via OTA with OrangeFox and everything was still 100% after 2 days I was editing a video and it crashed It got stuck and didn't respond, then when it restarted it didn't start the ROM (it stayed in the POCO logo)... It goes into recovery but it takes at least 30 seconds to go in, I saw that I got 3 new partitions that weren't there (System_EXT, Product, ODM,) does not recognize the storage (the Micro SD does) the VAYU has dynamic partition, but my VAYU says that it has not tried to recover by My flash. it flashed ok but it didn't work. gives an error called (Block device required)

Other recovery like twrp, relocked bootloader? Block device required? You use Google? There are many threads about this error

I already tried different recoveries, and nothing, I can't find information about the problem, I don't know if it's a hardware problem or if it has to be repaired, I didn't expect that, I had been with the VAYU for 9 months and I've changed everything and nothing had happened to me. my bootloader is unlocked

did you have the same error as mine?

A similar issue happened to me on stock ROM as well. I'm wondering if the boot partition is just dead and requires service?

How come, since it works perfectly?! I often encode, recode, cut and edit video on my unmodded ArrowOS 11 Poco X3 Pro, and have no issues. Unbelievable!
99 percent of Poco bricks on this forum are caused by inept people tinkering with parts of firmware they should not tinker with. Well, besides indian Poco versions, those were abysmal.

I had this issue also, i fixed it by flashing xiaomi.eu fastboot rom, used batch file (present in rom zip) for clean install.

Does anyone know if it is possible to root doogee mix 2 with magisk?

Doogee mix root
hi can everyone help me to root doogee mix??
THX
Sorry to put this query here. Even i haven't got any place to right it down. I also have a same problem. Rear camera not working. Bought this phone specially for camera specifications. When will be the updates release to make the second rear camera work. Even 8 MP Nokia camera takes better picture than this 16 MP. And there are many bugs. Many apps crashes. And on YouTube I have seen many videos which shows many camera app showing 4k video recording option, but I think that was after update and I still haven't received it.i show that video 1 month back
Solved. I have rooted the doogee mix 2, installed twrp and magisk without any problem. I followed the post
https://forum.xda-developers.com/doogee-mix/development/doogee-mix-2-twrp-recovery-t3727788
Now I just need to be able to install the linage Os 15 and it will be perfect

If you had read the post that I posted, you would see that marco.fortuna, has posted the link to download TWRP Recovery Doogee MIx2.img and if that function correctly. It also explains how to install it.

I recommend you read some basic adb and fastboot guide. There are also many posts that explain how to install masgisk and configure it.

Thank you. This is partially no one's fault to the extent there isnt's a Doogee MIX 2 forum. having rooted most major manufacturer phones.
So no one else is getting TWRP-loops, like boot loops, only back to TWRP?? Rooted kernel also doesn't seemed loadable from in TWRP or fastboot, though assume not needed for magisk compatible system.
Is supersu also working?
I would go to ROMs and Kernels subforum for a better discussion, but I haven't been able to do an uninstall of magical to install supersu successfully.

If there is a trick to getting SP flash to work, that would be great. I copied the directory about 3 times to get away from the Chinese characters, which helped me ultimately to try moving the img files to sdrom and TWRP install, but an easy way to use the tool would be great.

Couple of questions about unlocking bootloader/Flashing roms

Hi Sorry for the noobie questions, but I'm about to get my mi mix 3 and this is the first time doing a lot of this stuff so I had a couple of questions. I read a few things on the forum and I see different answers to things so I'm hoping to get some things straightened out, if you could even link an article/post for me to read that'd great too.
So I read that unlocking the bootloader erases all data, which is fine cause I plan to do this first. After unlocking the bootloader and when the Global rom become available, will flashing the rom erase all the data as well?
Is there any risks to having the bootloader unlocked? If so could I lock the bootloader up once I've flashed it with the Global rom?
Thanks!

If you are on Chinese Rom and want to flash global Rom it will wipe the data.
If your phone comes with Chinese Rom you can't lock bootloader on global Rom
Never had any issues before as long as the Rom has safety net passing. If it doesn't pass you can't use banking apps.
If you lose phone and if someone sees phone is unlocked they can wipe it using fastboot etc

Oh okay so flashing a new Rom would also delete everything. I read that Chinese Roms dont have google frame work and thats why we flash the Global rom, but I've seen people say mix 3 has google frame work so is there really a need to flash to a Global rom when its available?

You can get by on the Chinese Rom with no problems.
Only downside for me is some apps have Chinese writing in them but so far that's limited to apps like music/themes/browser/Mi AI, basically anything that requires an Internet connection
The app "Google installer v3" will install Google framework and apps for you. Just remember to go into the app permissions for the contacts app and make sure they are all given otherwise it won't sync.

That's my point, it's not a variant, it's a different chipset, which means different drivers, essentially a completely different device in terms of software support.

What's the point in buying any phone when you know 6 months down the line it's going to be replaced.

Soft Bricked OnePlus 7

Today I was using my OnePlus 7 (OOS Beta 10, TWRP 3.3.1-70, Magisk 20.3) and I accidentally rebooted it to bootloader through the advanced reboot feature. Somehow, I know not how, this soft bricked the device. I could get to the unlocked bootloader warning screen but no further. I could also boot to TWRP and Fastboot still. I tried several different things to fix this, including disabling all Magisk Modules through TWRP, but to no avail. I also tried switching to slot A (I was previously on slot B), but I only booted to the OxygenOS logo and accompanying animation, which lasted 15 minutes or more. Impatient, I began trying several other methods (instead of making a backup :facepalm. Long story short, I ended up wiping all the partitions (including Vendor and System) and I am stuck. I followed the guide here, which allowed me to boot to the OxygenOS logo and animation again, but no full OS boot. I have also reinstalled TWRP (3.3.1-79 now) which works as well, but try as I might I cannot get anything to boot besides that. I have tried installing the images from OnePlus' website, LineageOS 17.1, AOSiP, and custom kernels, but nothing works besides their own respective boot animations which loop forever.
And so, I have come to you, the best Android modding community I know of, to help me fix my problem. I can offer you no incentive besides my eternal gratitude.
Thanks in advance,
Michael
Edit: forgot to mention I use exclusively Linux so I cannot use the MSM tools. Sorry!

Download a Fastboot ROM and extract the images.zip. CD into that directory. Get your device into fastboot and manually flash them in Linux. The instructions for doing this are in that post. I needed to do this when I first got my OP7 as I also do not use Windoze. Worked without issue.
Edit:
I just saw that you said you tried this I guess. Give the first boot time. It takes awhile.

"Couldn't install system update" when updating to 10.0.9.GM31CB

My phone started showing me a notification saying it couldn't install this update several days ago. I've retried a number of times. Today, I tried a factory reset (not including internal storage), but the update still fails with the same helpful message. ("Couldn't update. Installation problem.")
I have a T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro with an unlocked bootloader. Internal storage is encrypted. Since it's currently in a factory-reset state, I can't think of any other salient details. Please ask if you need more information before making any suggestions.

Good Luck though..! Keep doing research and see if you can't resolve on your own for the time being
Ps. If the factory reset didn't revert the bootloader back to normal, you can try to lock the boot loader manually..
Just make sure your not running any custom rom or kernel

ADB and 8T

Okay... I've been searching all over the net for this problem and I keep getting posts that skirt the issue. At least, that's what it seems. So I will begin and you can decide... and thanks for whatever info you can throw my way.
Brand new OnePlus 8T. I want to root it. Duh. So, Got the Tiny ADB and Fastboot package and all the rest, but the issue is with unlocking the bootloader. Other problems may appear later, but this is the issue now.
So, connect phone to PC (Windows 8.1) and the only way that ABD recognizes my phone is when the USB prefs are set to 'No Data Transfer". Yes, I have installed the proper drivers from the phone. So, when the 'No Data Transfer' is selected, ADB recognizes the phone and will issue the command, ABD Reboot Bootloader and the phone reboots to the bootloader. Nice! Unfortunately, it appears that once the phone has booted to the bootloader, it has changed the USB Prefs and now ADB and fastboot do not see the phone. Obviously this sucks. And here is the problem. As far as I know, I have ticked off on all the proper settings. USB Debugging, etc. No joy!
I found a post elsewhere that showed how to set the default USB mode and that didn't work either. My experience has been that ADB used to see the phone under the 'File Transfer' and PTP options before, but it doesn't now. I can't explain this.
So, pretty frustrated. This shouldn't be so bloody difficult. It's only a couple of commands and I have done this with other phones in the past so it's not like I have no previous experience. But I have already wasted way too much time here this go around. Anyone have an answer? I'll be your best friend!!
Thanks all..

Hey Thanks, Bill. I"ll give this a whirl and see how it goes. I'll report back after. Cheers!
Ok, that appears to have solved the driver problem. I was able to finally unlock the bootloader and flash twrp. Now it is stuck in a boot loop.. fun fun!
I had been following this guide
How to Install Official TWRP Recovery on OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T and Root it
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T (codename: instantnoodle/kebab) was launched in the year April and October 2020 with Android 10 and 11 respectively. Recently

to root my 8T, but it appears that this fellow was missing some info? I take it ya can't just flash twrp to recovery like usual. The picture is slowly coming together.. much more complex than the last few times I have rooted phones.
So I assume that flashing twrp writes over the stock recovery.. and that leads to this crashdump mode popping up. To fix this, I will need the stock recovery.img and flash that back into place? Feel free to chime in and thanks in advance!

Flashing TWRP doesn't cause CrashDumps. They happen when you try to boot the system and something's not right.
You could try changing slots and then rebooting. That sometimes works (depending on what else you've done). You can do this in either TWRP or bootloader.
PS: if you use the reply button, then I'll be advised that you've posted a reply. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the next time I look to see if there's new posts in a thread.

Alrighty! Changing the slots did bring the phone back and it is now booting properly. But if I try to boot into recovery, it fails and goes to crashdump. Any ideas? Bad twrp image??

Sorry, I've no idea about that. Try flashing TWRP again.

Okay, well.. I'll have to figure it out then. Thanks much, Bill. Appreciate your help. Happy Holidays!
Hi guys, to root the 8T it's by magisk_patched.img via magisk manager, not twrp (it's old school),
Root FR (sorry a'm frenche, and better explain to me.)
since Android 11 twrp is less good ...

What I like about TWRP is that I can do things without needing a PC. So rooting, back up and restore, install new ROMs, ...
And now, with version 3.6.0, TWRP works well on Android 11

Yes, that works,
but don't be surprised to have instabilities in the ROM!
I already had some,
by magisk patch it's more cleaner,
But you are a big boy.
Good luck,

Lol!
I've been using Magisk and TWRP for years, so I'm not only a "big boy" but also an "old dog".

that's not the problem to use it for years,
myself with android 10, I was using it, I was already using magisk in 2015, on my Sony z5c (with lineage 7.0.2/ base is the ROM Orange Telecom owner... )
but since Android 11, the data decryption is no longer the same.
just the 30 second twrp boot, I don't really like it, so restored a system with something like that ... lol
Magisk is the best Root solution!
I like this!
Since the magisk_patched has become root's solution, to A11.
an old dog!!
You like croquettes and the mash?
Thx,

If they could fix the interminable start up time for TWRP that would be brilliant. But I believe the problem is with a file system check rather than the actual decryption which is quite fast.
Sorry, croquettes and mash aren't in my menu. But empanadas - absolutely!
Sorry, I had to leave this for a day or so, but I am back. BillGoss, looking at the guide I posted a link to earlier, would you say that guide is acceptable or are there issues with it? Theoretically that is? And does it depend on what build you are using?
Or if you know of a better process and files, please feel free to point me at it.
Many thanks

Sorry, I have no interest in checking out non-XDA guides. We have enough (too many?) of them on XDA as it is.

There-in why I asked if you might point me at something reliable. But I guess not...
Thanks anyway..

Actually a trick you can use is in twrp if you have the magisk APK change the ext to zip and install in twrp it patches the boot img for you in right slot so you don't have to pull img from phone
