Activating VOLTE on unlock V600TM(Tmobile)without rooting or installing whatever - LG V60 ThinQ Guides, News, & Discussion

I activated my VOLTE for my unlock TMObile phone V600TM running on the latest android 12 version 30f by just the below commands
enter dial, type *#546368#*600#
Field test
IMS setting
Test
PreferenceOperator put OPEN
Preference country put MY (according to your country example Indonesia would be IND or America with be the US and so on)
Tick the 2 options below
✓ Support Volte on Command
✓ Volte setting enabled
restart ims process
Once done go to the mobile network option and add the below APN(not sure if this APN is universal but it works for me in Malaysia in all the carriers so I guess you can give it a try) don't delete the existing APN
APN: ims
APN name: ims
APN type: ims
after that restart your phone and you will see the VOLTE sign appearing next to the wifi symbol and so on. Make sure your 4G signal is strong enough if not it won't appear.
Also, I notice when I use the 4636 commands to check it still says IMS is not registered and Volte is not provision but I can use Volte maybe this is the bypass as I tested the call and so on already just make sure your Sim card supports or is Volte activated as well.
Also the Volte setting wont appear in Mobile network but it will work with the VOLTE icon appearing

My TMObile V600TM phone is network locked.
How to unlock it? if yes could you please point me out?
thanks

Lg phones g8x, g8, v60, velvet Volte enable for all carriers, unlisted countries also
I will try to keep this post as small as possible. This will enable Volte for Phone ranging from Lg g8x, g8 and V60 without root or modifying the system files. Many have posted ways to get it, Iam only trying to help out the small bits missing...

thanks to the OP for this thread, really pushing for these amazing devices to live on, you can follow my first steps to get the IMS option to open up.

Tried it on V600TM30C in Greece (GR) Cosmote and worked! Thank you! I have tried other ways (rooting, etc) but none worked so far.
I have also tried it on V600EA10 but I couldn't enter IMS settings menu and the johndaniel tutorial didn't seem to work, so I restored my back up to V600TM30C. I still need to find a way to have 5G.

anyone tried Lg v60 L-51a ???

There should be VoLTE option for your sim..
If no, There is many chances that your SIM maybe not 4G ready or your circle don't have VoLTE feature..

Needs root but the only way I got it to work here is with the magisk module.
Ya, don't go playing with the band selection, or you may just get dropped to 2g connection with no LTE possible.
After digging around, I found a fix to get LTE back.
Download the "Network Signal Guru" app from the Play Store.
I told it to "Clear Forcings" in the menu, and LTE is back up.
Cantn find The Module can You give some more Informationen?
This won't work in Europe at least, no matter how Volte ready is your network/SIM card. OnePlus just ignores the issue.
This method https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...-volte-vowifi-german-carriers-t3817542/page28 works for activating VoLTE if your operator had enabled it for you.
I tried the method in the current post, but only got the toggles in the menu and not the real thing.
Had to call the mobile operator (Telenor BG, Bulgaria) to ask them to activate VoLTE and then did the method in the linked post.
I have a non-rooted OP6 and I'm now effectively using VoLTE on my network. Hope that helps.
Hmmm, does anybody know which was the previous default setting? I would like to revert it back and don't remember what setting was set before...

If you want to get VoLTE and VoWiFi menu under SIM options in your OP6 just type *#800# in default dialer (not working in ther dialers) and under oneplus logkit>Function switch there is VoLTE and VoWiFi switch This is only to have that switch visible in menu so it isnt a guarantee that VoLTE will work on your device because your network carrier must support it and if it is not supported by carrier then VoLTE will not work no matter if you enable it with menu switch

Go to "Phone", Settings, SIM & Network Settings, then in to the SIM you want, and the VoLTE and WiFi calling is in there. It's NOT in the traditional Settings app.

jamal2367's method (see here in English: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/how-to/guide-volte-vowifi-german-carriers-t3817542) works fine with OOS9/Pie.
Just updated & patched modem config with PDC as described in the link (I'm using the config "Telefonica_UK_Commercial" for O2 in Germany) and I'm up again with VoLTE/VoWifi working..
Still a shame that Oneplus is incapable to do enable the right config by default..
but it is just that in OOS9 you miss those switches what were in OOS5.11 in "Enhanced networking, this group is all missing in Pie

[Guide]Enabling VoLTE on stock ROM (Calls and SMS)

Hi all.
I just want to post a guide for people wondering how to enable VoLTE in unsupported countries. Apparently, Xiaomi only enable VoLTE for SEA countries etc. and Japan (Where I'm staying) is not supported.
So, I have been having problems receiving SMS and calling other numbers. After reading this blog post, I have solved that problem and maybe I can help others solving this problem. This is the procedure written in the blog post in English.
1. Setting APN (Might not be applicable for other countries)
-----------------
for Au user with VoLTE enabled sim, create a new APN and set it as below
・NAME:ims
・APN:ims
・MCC:440
・MNC:51
・TYPE:ims
for DoCoMo user with VoLTE enabled sim, create a new APN and set it as below
・NAME:ims
・APN:ims
・TYPE:ims
・APN protocol:IPv4v6
2. Go to dial and dial *#*#86583#*#* . It should show carrier check disabled or something along the lines.
3. If the phone does not have a signal after step 2. reboot the device and it should connect after that.
Hope this will help anyone who is having trouble enabling VoLTE.
thanks man . *#*#86583#*#* did worked for me in Sri lanka

I'm glad I was able to help
its a pity there's not such a short code to enable the VoWifi in the same way
EDIT:
Turns out setprop persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr 1 enables the switch, but the service still shows as unavailable.
using the build.prop changes I came up with for this https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/magisk-volte-enabler-t3649647
enables UT interface.
Volte Restore
Run the below code in your dialer app manually. You should see a message stating "Volte Carrier check disable" else run the code again.
After 30 seconds your volte network should be retored. Pull down the notification bar to check for the volte symbol.
*#*#86583#*#*
Cheers!!
Hi
Thanks for this topic.
I have a problem : my poco F1 (MIUI Global 10.3.5.0) says it is enabled only for SIM1.
But as I use a µSD card (which has to be plugged instead of SIM1) I only have SIM2 place to put my SIM.
So I only have SIM2, no SIM1, and my poco says "only for SIM1"...... WTF ?!!
Someone has an idea for having VoLTE (and VoWiFi) on SIM2 ???
Thanks !

4G is technically LTE. The Xiaomi firmware doesn't seem to have an LTE icon, at least not that I have seen. 4G and 4G+ are LTE and LTE-A.

After the *#*#86583#*#, try going into Mobile & Networks, and select your SIM card. There should be a VoLTE enabled option now. This option didn't show up for me until I did that and then I had to turn it on.
There's now a tiny VoLTE icon in the notification bar and when I'm on a call, it stays there.

What ROM's have people tried for WiFi Calling? Does the OP refer to T-Mobile in the UK/EU or USA? The Global Stable seems to have some less features compared to the Chinese Stable. Eu global the lastest one 10.2.2.0
Ever find a solution to this? I am on MIUI Global 10.3 (Stable) and am able to turn off Mobile data( T Mobile is my carrier in U.S.) and with my WiFi on the device i can still make and receive phone calls. In this configuration i obviously still see my WiFi symbol in the Notification bar as well as the VoLTE symbol. Don't know if this will help you at all, but it is some stuff i have noticed recently when i was trying to figure out why T-Mobile apps dont work on my Mi Mix 3.
With WiFi turned off and Mobile Data turned on i am able to make phone calls(obviously) with VoLTE and am able to see the LTE+ symbol in the Notification bar as well.
If i go to About Phone --> Tap "Internal Storage" 4 time(brings you to the Testing Menu) and looking into the Phone Info i see the following...
Set Preferred Network Type: LTE/TD-SCDMA/UMTS
Mobile Radio Power: On
VoLTE Provisioned: Off
Video Calling Provisioned: Off
WiFi Calling Provisioned: Off
EAB/Presence Provisioned: Off
When i bring this menu up on my previous phone(LG G7 ThinQ) i see that the Preferred Network type was different...so i changed my Mi Mix 3 just to match to see how it would change
My LG G7(without a SIM inserted) shows the following
Set Preferred Network Type: LTE/UMTS auto (PRL)
Mobile Radio Power: On
VoLTE Provisioned: On
Video Calling Provisioned: On
WiFi Calling Provisioned: On
EAB/Presence Provisioned: Off
Changing the network type on my Mi Mix 3 didnt do much, however when i changed it LTE/CDMA/UMTS auto(PRL) the VoLTE Provisioned and Video Calling Provisioned both switched to "On".
I dont quite understand this so for the most part i have just left it to match my LG's setting since i can change the network type back to LTE/UMTS auto(PRL) after and the settings stay set to "On"
Made a few test phone calls after with WiFi on and off, everything seems to work just fine regardless of what the phone displays.

Put the device in airplane mode, then turn on WiFi. Can you make calls? I can't! Turning on WiFi and enabling WiFi Calling doesn't mean the calls are going over WiFi. Especially if you are still seeing VoLTE or any time of mobile network connection.
Edit: Go down to the very bottom, hit more, hit IMS status, and see what it says.

No access to the IMS settimgs is more than likely why we can't get it working. We cam't see the settings to even compare them to what they should be.
I am on MIUI Global 10.3 (Stable) / Chinese Device / T-Mobile Germany.
VoWiFi as well as VoLTE are working on my device, however you need root access to enable the VoWiFi profile.
Once it is working you will see the WiFi calling icon in the status bar.
I was following this guide to enable WiFi calling on the Mi Mix 3:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/guide-activate-vowifi-wlan-call-t3871263
I don't know if the mentioned profile will work in other countries as well but maybe someone with more insight can shed some light into this.
I remember that VoLTE was working out of the box, you just have to disable the carrier check with the USSD code to make it available in settings.
VoWiFi can be enabled via USSD code as well, however even after changing the setting to enabled and preferred WiFi calling it does not register without the profile change.
VoLTE: *#*#86583#*#*
VoWiFi: *#*#869434#*#*
I had to redo the profile change after each upgrade with TWRP, since the firmware partitions get updated as well.
I hope this will help. :fingers-crossed:
I have Mix 3 with U.S T-Mobile service. After disabling the VoWiFi check with *#*#869434#*#*, the option for WiFi calling check box appears under the T-Mobile SIM section, but WiFi calling is not working when tested under airplane mode with WiFi enabled.
Vowifi works fine on MTS (Russia). All you need:
1. Activate vowifi service from the operator
2. Disable service check by command: *#*#869434#*#*
3. Create folder into: /system_root/system/priv-app/MBNLoader
4. Copy into this folder APK: MBNLoader.apk (View attachment MBNLoader.apk
5. Give right privileges: -rw-r--r--
6. Reboot phone
7. Install from play market QuickshortcutMaker: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut
8. Open it and go to tab apps
9. Find Modem Config
10. Open it (tap) and you will see a lot of MCFG Modem configs.
11. Try one by one to start vowifi working
12. Enjoy!

VoLTE not working

Hi, I had Poco F1 before with working VoLTE, so I know that my carrier and current Sim card is supporting it. All I had to do on the F1 was typing in that code *#*#86583#*#* and activating the new volte setting.
I tried that with the X3 but it's not working. Whenever I receive/make a phone call my connection will switch from 4G to 3G.
Is there a workaround or is it a hardware limitation? I could imagine because the X3 just has an entry level SOC that the modem has some artificial restrictions to differentiate from the flagship SOC (845/865).
Did you get a volte carrier check disabled message after dialling that?
For me both volte and vowifi are working fine
Yes I got that. Are you telling the phone your real location or do I have to chose India or china? I remember with my Poco F1 I had to chose India to get features like call recording...btw I'm in Australia.
Changing regions
Anyone know if I do a factory reset and change to a different region like Europe will that make the phone operate on different Verizon bands possibly allowing me to get service? Just a thought ?

I think using different bands it's more about regional ROMs construction (Global, India, Europe etc) than changing region in ROM settings. Alternative, you can flash a different regional ROM using MiFlash and see if it helps with your problem.
After entering that code I get the switch, to turn on volte, but that doesn't change anything.

Can't you see the specific VoLTE symbol near mobile signal in the upper right corner of the screen? If you can't see it, you can try to make a phone call and see if the google dialer shows it's a VoLTE call (or check the dialer history calls if you use Xiaomi dialer....you'll see there if it was a VoLTE call or not).
Same here with my Poco x3 NFC global I am on Vodafone UK my carrier support volte and vofi but I can't enable it , I have no settings . What I found when I flash custom ROMs the volte works , the sound in voice calls is super crisp and I got the icon always there vote on sim and vofi on WiFi . I need an option or a menu or a trick to show that option in stock ROM to enable it .
I remember back in the days when I had OnePlus I had to go in the ingineer menu to tick on a toggle " enable volte" and "enable vofi"
And later on the OnePlus 7t pro I had to install an apk to force that toggle so I can enable it .
On my Mi Mix 2s it shows volte when enabled. This one no. Poco needs to fix this before a number of users get dumped for lack of volte.

I have tried those and I left it on enabled both of them . Still not working

I am using the stock room and used the dial codes got the settings but everytime I tried to make a call it wouldn't work I went to setting all specs and tap internal storage 5 times then choose the sim you are using then you have to turn the top switch off then back on. This is how I got mine working I also have extended my storage by using root explorer and cut everything under sd card and move to storage.

LG velvet 4g volte on Tmobile?

I have LG velvet 4g dual sim LM-G910EMW, is there any way to enable volte for use on t-mobile?
im having the same problem with my carrier (simple mobile). they are saying my LG Velvet 5g is not compatible with their network upgrade to VOLTE. The specs for my model, do indeed show that it is compatible. They keep trying to get me to "upgrade" to a new phone. Whats going on here?
So I followed the below directions from reddit and it worked great and I now have Volte, however phone still drops to 3g when it makes a call any thoughts on how to fix that?
There is a way to force enable VoLTE on the "LG Velvet 4G Dual Sim" specifically your version which is the "LM-G910EMW".
By default the feature is disabled on this model variant for who knows why.
Follow the steps below: 1. Click on the "Phone" app and dial "##4636##" -If done correctly it'll automatically bring you to the "testing" settings menu.
Click on "Phone Information" -you should see a list of VoLTE settings however by default they are disabled and greyed out but don't worry there's a way to reactivate VoLTE. (You Will Come Back to this Menu later)
Go to your file app and create a file named "enable_ue" -thats all you need to do just create the file, nothing more nothing less.
Go back to the "Phone" App and dial "#*462633*#910#" -This code is specific to the variant and will not work on other non LM-G910EMW Phones. Dialing this should bring up the "Hidden LG Menu"
Select Field Test>Universal Enabler>Create New Config -a menu with check boxes for VoLTE options appearing
Select the boxes as follows "VoLTE" "ViLTE" "VoWifi" "ViWifi" And finally hit "Confirm" -a prompt will appear stating "Vo Services Updated"
Immediately restart your phone to allow the settings to kick in
After your phone has restarted go into your Settings>Network & Internet>Mobile Networks -If done correctly the VoLTE option will now be unlocked and available.
Switch on the "VoLTE"
Now to double check that your phone now truly has VoLTE enabled, repeat steps 1-2. If done correctly the menu should now say "VoLTE Provisioned Video Calling Provisioned Wifi Calling Provisioned " -if these 3 are all switched on then you have successfully force enabled VoLTE on your LG Velvet 4G Dual Sim LM-G910EMW, congratulations!
Sorry I'm not so good, can you help me please regarding this:
Go to your file app and create a file named "enable_ue" -thats all you need to do just create the file, nothing more nothing less.
I would like to know how to create this file, as I think I didn't do the job so I'm block when I enter Unviersal Enabler, it say: not supported
Thanks in advance for your help
In the upper right of your file manager there should ne three dots, click on that and it will show new folder, new file, etc.
Some file managers do not have a new file option so you may have to download a different file manager. I used 3c as my file manager.
Hi,
Can you please share the path where we need to add the file name as "enable_ue" and it will be 0 byte file right?
I just added it to the main storage and yes it was 0 byte
Will this work on the 900TM variant? I used 900 instead of 910 to get the hidden menu and it came up but i can't seem to get the volte button to enable in the menus.
If you have one variant of a Qualcomm LG Velvet can you turn on VOLTE by selecting the stock firmware for a different Velvet variant? Basically I wondere if an lmg900tm can be turned into an lmg900um. [NOTE: upon further investigation, the VOLTE feature may depend more on the SIM card and not on the firmware. There is an explanation here from Quora.com:
Is VoLTE activation dependent on the SIM card or just on the device model and the operator?
The phone has to be VoLTE compatible, that is the hardware itself must be able to handle VoLTE in terms of what it implies: band, frequencies and so on.
Then, the phone has to be provisioned to operate with VoLTE, in simple terms that means that the phone must be enabled or allowed to work with VoLTE, this is done wither by the manufacturer or by the operator. There are phones that even while they are VoLTE capable, the manufacturer of the operator won’t provision them to use VoLTE. One such case are the Google Pixel phones that are perfectly capable of VoLTE. but, if you insert a SIM card of a country where Pixels are not officially sold and supported, then Google has the phone set to disable VoLTE (and 5G as well).
Then, the SIM used in that VoLTE capable phone and VoLTE provisioned phone has to be of the right version. Some operators won’t provide VoLTE service if you don’t have a SIM with a minimum version (and thus SIM firmware and configuration).
Lastly, you have to be physically present on the network that has VoLTE capabilities. You could have all of the above, but, if you are in the middle of a desert or in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, probably VoLTE is not going to work…and neither 4G or 5G…
Is VoLTE activation dependent on the SIM card or just on the device model and the operator?
Answer: VoLTE activation is controlled by the device depending on the SIM and network operator. Of course the phone has to be VoLTE capable in the first place. Each device has an internal database that uses one or more of the SIM files as key to retrieve various parameters about the operator own...

There you have it, that is pretty much in simple terms, what is needed to enjoy VoLTE with your smartphone.
