Hi all iam apk5656 and iam from egypt and this is my first post ok in this thread i will explain to you how to root your phone by easy way and without pc before you start do this guide under your own risk
ok lets go just download that tool (baidu root tool) from here mod edit - links removed
now instal the app then open it it will show you a message click that red button in the pic

then it will open and it will show your device name like in that pic
under your device name there is the root button that one which has red box in the pic
just click on it and wait while it finish and tada :highfive: your phone got rooted :victory:
now you can install supersu from play store
Note:do not uninstall baidu root tool just install supersu and give it permissions to update us binary then you can uninstall baidu root tool

Do you happen to have a copy of the CUBOT_X19_9021C_1_V07_20190612 rom? That version's link is broken in CUBOT's support page and my phone's camera won't work with versions 08 and 12. Rooting didn't go that well for me.

what are the correct tools? I use the following: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
(platform-tools_r31.0.3-windows.zip)

@Miustone should unlock commands be entered in menu fastboottd? (I'm doing it right that way)

I think You need to do that in Bootloader Mode. Just Turn Off Your Phone, hold VolumeUP and Connect it while Holding VolumeUP to USB. You will See a Blue LED on Your Device. That's it... You can also visit My Discord Server. People there will Help You too If needed! Good Luck!

i'm bricked same as you and can only boot into EDL mode

You must use flash tool last version (flashtool 5.1 or highest) and flash rom rmx3560_domestic_11_A27 . Do not use rom A39
