Question CarLink takes long to connect - FYT Android Head Units

I have a EKIY KK5 and it seems like my headunit needs to be powered on for about 3-4 minutes for CarLink to able to connect to AA on my Pixel 7.
Otherwise it just sits on "Connecting" unless I close and reopen it after some time has passed
Does anyone know a fix for this?
Seller gave me an update that isn't working.

It could be the other way round.
When I drive rental cars with Android Auto, my Motorola G41 connects in 20-40 seconds, My Samsung Galaxy A52 takes ages (minutes) to connect and sometimes even doesn't.
Sorry. Not an answer, but perhaps a clarification.

I don't believe so, because when I restart the headunit, I have to wait the ~3 minutes for it to be "ready". But once it connects the first time, I can close the app and it will reconnect quickly.
My S20 FE doesn't connect all together.
They gave me an update from November, I was just looking to see if someone had a newer APK or has the same problem.

I can confirm this: my backup phone runs Pixel Experience as a custom ROM, so basically plain Android. While my new phone runs Xiaomi's MIUI and that one connects and disconnects afterwards directly, no idea why....
It was working shortly when I went down the hill from wintersport area, but after I got back to the car. All of a sudden it would not work anymore: so could be related to Android Auto update, but also just be the specific phone having issues with Android Auto. Xiaomi is one of the brands, which has a lot of issues with Android Auto and it always takes a long time for either Google or Xiaomi to fix it.

[HELP] Sony Smartwatch MW1 Trouble

Hi XDA
I have a bit of a problem with my Smartwatch. I have tried every single 'fix' out there (self proclaimed techie, I usually google my problems first. making a post is a last resort). I got the watch since Christmas, and I've been working on it since
Heres my problem
I use a Feiteng N9300+ (S3 clone) and my smartwatch would pair to it, but disconnect every time I turn on the watch to check the time then reconnect around 5-10 seconds later. Apps wont work, they used to (with sheer luck, approx. 4% of the time) but after I formatted my phone apps don't show up at all.
I tried the watch with my Viewsonic G Tablet and it works, so I've narrowed it down to a faulty bluetooth chip within my phone, or a software related problem. Its probably the software
Any fixes? (I've tried Bluetooth keep alive and around 10 other apps, and around 20 'fixes' )
Thanks in advance

Xtrons PX5 iPhone hotspot issues

I have an ongoing issue that I have search and searched on and seen some conversations here and there about it but never found a good solution and its getting quite old so I figured I would post here and hope someone might have a solution.
So I have an Xtrons PX5 unit currently on Malaysk Android 9 paid ROM, latest build, I believe 1.3.5. My current phone is an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 14. The problem is when I turn on the hotspot the radio will usually connect right away but only stay connected for a minute or two then disconnect, if I don't catch it right away I have to re enable the hotspot and the head unit reconnects, if its been a minute and the iPhone has shut down the hot spot I turn it back on and it reconnects, sometimes I have to do this 4-5 times before it stays stable other times it is fine for awhile on the first connections.
As I mentioned this has been happening for awhile, this was happening on the totally stock ROM just the same, when I had an Android as a hotspot there were NO issues whatsoever on either rom. I have also had this occur on multiple iPhone's over the last year or two including a 7, 8, X and now the 11 as well as iOS version's 12, 13 and now 14 I have set several of these iPhones up as new (Not restoring backups) with the same results so I think its safe to say it is not an issue with my iPhone.
I have tried resetting network settings on the head unit as well as a couple of factory resets over the last year with no improvements.
Anything you can think of to try would be greatly appreciated.
What does apple support suggest.
I know that Apple's ios 13 was plagued with frequent disconnect complaints. Not sure it was fixed in 14 (I'm not an apple user), but it's most likely still an apple problem. I have no issues at all connecting any of the androids we have around here.
Did you sort this @tuxdreamerx ? I recommended someone get an MTCD/E head unit and they have the same problem with their iphone 8, its driving them nuts cos they cant use the internet at all, it rarely stays connected, yet my Android phone works on the unit fine.

Mi Stick issue

HI
soI just brought a mi stick. I currently have a firestick but are getting an extra couple of TV's so thought mi stick mat be the way to go cost wise.
It loads fine, and connects fine. It is close to the roiuter, and no other settings or phyical things have changed compared to firectick use (i take one stikc out, put the other in).
My issue that every 30 seconds or so the screen goes black for a couple of seconds, This happens if usinf netlfix, or anything else, even if in the sticks own menus.
Is this connection dropping? If so how do I stop it. I have tried the 5g and non 5g option of connecting to my vodafone router. I am in the EU.
Any ideas anyone? Much appreciated if so...

I have an issue, but I don't know if it' s related. When I connect to the sound system via bluetooth, the sound drops for a second or so every few minutes. But I haven't had your screen blanking problem. I'm also in the EU (France).

ooh i wonderi if i should changeit to one in the box.
I also got an error message for the hdmi source just now - incorrect resolution. It isset to auto detect. My TV is a UHD Samsung 4k. It was at 1080 60Hz. Icant find if that is correct... so I am trying 1080i 60Hz and see if that works!
I figured it.... manually changed the resiltio to 1080i - perfect.

Question Android auto not working on S22 Ultra

Hello,
Anyone managed to make AA work on their S22 Ultra?
I know it's a known topic, but seems that no debeloper (Samsung or Google) cares to make it fix...
Before answering, please note that i have already tried to clear AA cache and data, to disable/enable the app, tried different apk versions, tried different cable, and no luck at all!
My A21S, Oneplus 6t and Onplus 8 worked fine, so is not an issue from the cars (Skoda Kamiq or Skoda Ovtavia IV).
Any ideas? It's frustrating that such an expensive phone doesn't have Android Auto working...
Thanks!
I have tried everything (I believe) to make it work but still, AA is not working. I gave up and I will wait for another software update.
last time I checked it worked perfectly

Dang. I always had a problem with WAA on my s21 ultra. Was kind of hoping they had fixed it.
Forgot to mention an important detail: EU variant (with Exynos, not 8gen1)...
Also tried both, wired and wireless, and is not working.
AA icon appears in notification panel for 1 sec, then it crashes... While on head unit, it's loading the connection, then sais it is failed
Strange, for me it works but it takes ages (like a minute or two) to load the homescreen each time. Afterwards it works normally. The sound works right on. Wireless AA, Exynos, EU
works great here out of the box with Nissan Sentra. Wired...
cheers
Clear the cache and data from the android auto app, then remove your phone completely from your car. Try adding it again. That worked for me. However, I'm on the SD variant, and using AAwireless. As for that, I had to put it on passthrough at first, then AA pushed an update and it worked without.

2019 Lincoln Nautilus with Sync3 working fine. Always delete your old phone(s) from the vehicle before pairing the new one.
AAWireless module working fine as well. Did a reset on the module and had it up and running in a minute.

Mine works (2021 RAV4 XSE Hybrid), but I have to say every voice command twice. The first time I say it, there's a 15-20 second pause, and I get "Oops, something went wrong with the network connection, please try again later". I repeat it right afterwards and it works fine. It's a pain in the damned ass.
Same thing is happening with the S22 and the S22 Ultra. Lots of people complaining on Google's forums about S22 issues.
It seems to be a common issue, my Pioneer DMH-Z5350BT goes to the black screen when I connect my SD S22 Ultra.
Hopefully, there will be a fix soon!

Agree on the timing, but I never really cared since I always wait for everything on the car to fully load before I drive.
Only thing that's gone wrong was two days ago. I didn't have my cord, so I was on Bluetooth. For the first time ever, it said device was not available when I would switch to Bluetooth in the car. They were both connected - and still connected. I cleared cache and data, unpaired both ends, rebooted phone restarted car, re-paired, but nothing. Was the only time that has ever occured to me.

Question S22 Ultra Android auto not working.

Hello, i'm new happy user of s22 ultra and just discovered that android auto not working in my car.

Android Auto has several known issues. It is not necessarily a problem with your phone. Other devices are having issues too.

I had some issues with mine but i resolved it. I have a 2020 Honda CRV and the first time I set it up everything worked flawlessly. Then a couple months later it wouldnt connect thru the port with the cable. Tried multiple cables nothing happened. Then finally I noticed the Bluetooth wasn't on. Before when I connected to the car port it would always turn bluetooth on automatically and it wasn't doing that anymore. So what I did was turn on bluetooth, reboot the phone and then plug it back in and it worked again. Also make sure you dont have any other phones paired on your car that might be interfering. That happened to me about 3 times when it wouldnt connect and turning on bluetooth rebooting phone then plugging it back in always made it work again.
On my skoda superb 2017 i had problems with AA all the time restarting. charging was ok but i couldnt get google maps navigation on the radio. Then i bought new cable and now it is ok
Tried several tips from all the places, nothing work... S22 plus have the same issues on my car like s22 ultra, but s21 plus is ok...think to stay on s21 plus or so...
From samsung help told me that i must contact google because they ar the producer of app, no way to get an proper answer from google or samsung. Maybe in future updates they solve something.

Does android auto starts and then disconnects? If you have an old pixel phone cable or a thick cable try with that. Also set battery to unrestricted. Do you by any chance have a wireless charger in car and keeping the phone on the wireless pad when trying to use android auto? I have seen issues with aa when I keep the phone on the wireless pad occasionally with my Honda Pilot.
Doesn't connect at all, i dont have wireless charging in car, conection is by cable, messages is "connection failed", calls and media works great.

Mine works fine in my Ford Focus 2018, i have a Snapdragon version and use the AA Wireless box.
But, yesterday i saw an article about AA and around all the problems many people have with the Google Maps. Now they allowed us to use "Waze" in AA to. I tried it today, worked like a charm to.
Try it out then?

Try the app "Waze" they updated AA some days ago and now we can use Waze. They did it because of all the problems people have
I tried it out today, worked 100%, but so do the G maps (in my car).
