I had to repartition the device to create vendor partition for the custom ROM i want to install. Bu t i want to undo it to install stock ROM. How to undo it?
Use Odin to relflash your device; you'll need to use the PIT file which you can extract from the CSC binary. Be aware that using the wrong PIT file can brick your device.

Yeah, there's a PIT tab where you put that file in. Then you check Re-Partition, load the rest of your files, and flash

Also should i choose all of those 5 files in Odin? Or are PIT and AP enough?

You use all the files in their appropriate place.
BL file in BL slot
AP file in AP slot
CP file in CP slot
CSC file in CSC slot
In Odin options tab, check Re-Partition, keep Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checked
In Odin PIT tab, select the PIT file you extracted
Click Start and wait for the flash to finish

As in soft or hard brick.
Assuming hard, as it would destroy the portion download mode is on. But curious to the anwser.

Not sure TBH, although I think you're correct - if bootloader/download mode is toast, then the only way to recover the device would be via a low level flash tool such as QPST/Qfil if it's Qualcomm, and it's very hard (if not impossible) to find the necessary files

I would assume hardbrick, as download mode would be gone. Or maybe you can’t delete download mode. Now that I think about it, the nand erase does not delete download mode, so repartioning shouldn’t overwrite it. So prob soft brick.

Well, download mode and bootloader are both in the BL file, so if the device were partitioned wrong and didn't properly write those partitions, it would most likely be a hard brick.

You gotta be kidding me. You don't flash it in cwm, you odin it. Why is there a new one of these threads at least once a day? Read the forum people!
Don't flash using your phone, flash via Odin. Do a little search, there's many tutorials people have posted for it!

I'm pretty sure that tar file will increase your flash counter if your worried about that at all. I'd use the one from sammobile (look at the last page of the thread you used). In terms of it not flashing, maybe try a different usb port.

Flashing Firmware with Odin
Get Odin v3.04 from here:https://androidfirmwares.net/Tools/Download/8
(Just extract the Odin folder)
You will also need to install the Samsung USB drivers for the device if you haven't installed KIES. Get them from here:https://androidfirmwares.net/Tools/Download/9
(Just install like any Windows program)
1. Just download the firmware version you want from the second or third posts and extract the .tar or .tar.md5 file in the archive and save it somewhere,for samsung read here ;http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
2. Reboot your phone to download mode.
To get download mode shut down the device. After it shuts off completely simultaneously press the Down volume key + press the power button .
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You should see a warning asking you to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel, press volume up. You are now in download mode!
3. Start Odin
4. If your ROM is a single .tar.md5 package click on the PDA button and browse to the .tar or .tar.md5 file that you extracted in step 1 and select it. This should like like the image below
5. DO NOT PUT .PIT FILE AND DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TICK REPARTITION.
Regardless of firmware version it's still the same methodology
6. Connect the USB cable and wait for any required drivers to install and the ID:COM section to turn blue like below
7. Click start to flash. If Odin hangs at setting up connection just unplug the USB cable and re-attach it, Odin should now resume
8. Do not disconnect the cable or turn off the device once the flash has started, it will reboot when it finishes.
If the firmware is from this thread it will not wipe your phone if you flash as recommended UNLESS I state that the firmware is a "WIPE" version.
PDA refers to the build version of the software/firmware
Phone refers to the baseband/modem version
CSC is the consumer software customisation and is specific to geographical region and carriers. It contains the software packages specific to that region, carrier branding and also APN settings for data connection, MMS etc for your service provider.
CSC has nothing to do with what languages the firmware supports and it will not add keyboard language support either.
.PIT refers to the partition information table you only need it if you screw up your partition table or if the firmware specifically requires it because of a change in the partition table layout. It's very likely you may never have to use this.
If the package only contains one .tar archive then it will have everything, pda+phone+csc, in the one file.
If it has multiple .tar archive then:
The .tar with modem in the name is the phone/baseband bit of the package
.tar with csc/multi-csc in the name is the csc bit of the package
.tar with code/PDA in the name is the PDA part of the firmware package
If this is the case you will need to put these .tar archives in the specific areas of Odin to flash the update. Refer to the images below.
You do not need to root or unroot the device to update the firmware.
Please ensure that KIES is closed and not running in the system tray! Kies doesn't like Odin, it's like the big brother who's always jealous that his little brother is getting to flash all the phones so he starts to flash block.
Regarding change logs. Samsung thinks firmware should be like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get and that all a big part of the surprise user experience program so they don't publish any change logs.

oh, really? thanks guys
I rooted my phone a while back but did NOT install TWRP. Using System App Remover (Root needed), I started removing all sorts of bloatware after a bit of research for anything that sounded important.
Now I'm facing bootloop after removing com.android.location.fused. A little research shows other people facing similar issues were able to fix it using adb shell and TWRP. So I looked up elsewhere and got TWRP up and running.
Basically, the method is this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonGoSpoofing/comments/b1njwr
But there is no users folder under system on my phone!
I figured it's ok though. Because removing system apps using System Apps Remover, apps are not deleted but rather placed in a folder somewhere in the internal storage (can't remember the default location and can't find it using TWRP File Manager either).
Now here are my questions:
1. Is it possible for someone to share their own version of com.android.location.fused with me along with the correct storage location for me to put it into? Would it work?
2. Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong that I get no users folder under system?
3. Is there a way for me to restore my own version of com.android.location.fused which is located god-knows-where on my phone?
P.S. Tech rookie here; bare with me...
Did you tried mounting all on twrp? system partition, data etc...? I correctly see that folder.

I can try to send the apk, but I don't think it will work, because you need to enable the package again on /data/system/users/0/package-restrictions.xml.
If all fails, why not flashing stock rom using HOME_CSC instead of CSC so all data will be preseved?
Spoiler: home csc
HOME CSCIf your purpose is to just re-install the firmware or update your Samsung device’s software without wiping your apps, all user data, and settings, you should go with the HOME CSC binary. Choosing this file will only affect the software version of your phone while keeping everything intact.
Ehhh, never remove GPS location services! Clock go brrrrr!

Thanks for the quick reply.
Mounting all selectable (some are not clickable) locations still gives me no users under system.
As for flashing stock rom, based on what you are saying, I suppose I should select all other options (BL, AP, and CP) except for CSC (which I go for USERDATA instead) and for that, I've got to select HOME_CSC file, correct?

Yes, u need to select all in odin like u are flashing normally.
AP, BL, CP, and HOME_CSC
only use HOME_CSC instead of CSC

do NOT use the CSC tar, but instead use the HOME_CSC tar as we are performing an upgrade, not the initial install.

not sure what you have done to that phone, are you sure usb jack and cable is healthy? lost connection sounds like hardware issue.
However, the only other flash tool is heimdall, but it needs files extracted and converted.

if you're 100% sure the usb-connection is healthy, try to re-partition with pit file extracted from CSC.

What is NAND?
NAND and NOR are actually 2 main types of flash memory, that are related to computers, and it stores the BIOS settings to the ROM of a computer. Since Android devices don’t have a BIOS, flash memory, or NAND relates to the bootloader and OS kernel that work together to boot Android devices into the system. Being a non-volatile memory, it keeps the essential OS data even when your Android smartphone is turned off.
You cannot fix a Samsung device after an unintentional NAND erase action by simply flashing the stock firmware. Since NAND erase wipes all existing partitions from the device’s storage, you’ll have to re-partition your device in Odin with the help of an appropriate PIT (Partition Information Table) file.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Re-Partitioning Explained:
NAND memory on Android devices is divided into partitions and block structures. These partitions are essential to the proper functioning of a device. It’s the PIT file that tells Odin how much space to allocate to the boot, kernel, system recovery, data, and EFS partitions. Not just that, it is also responsible for the location and path of these partition blocks on the internal storage.
The Re-partition option in Odin is not meant to be used during a normal firmware flash. If you have to install firmware, just add the BL, AP, CP, and CSC files to Odin and do not change the default settings.
The PIT file determines the structure, location, and size of specific partitions. Since a NAND erase wipes all partitions, the only way to re-partition your device using is to flash a PIT file that is strictly for your Samsung Galaxy device model and storage capacity. Flashing a wrong PIT may result in a semi-bricked device. Moreover, if you flash the PIT file of a 128GB device model on a 256GB model, your phone may be configured to show only 128GB as available storage.

Instructions
Grabbing the right version of Odin is the first step. Due to the fact the tool is never meant to be used by consumers, Samsung doesn't host it on a public download portal. Fortunately, XDA Senior Member realbbb maintains a repository of verified copies of the Odin tool. He also offers patched variants of Odin (known as "3B patched") that are capable of bypassing a number of stop conditions while cross-flashing.

Download the correct version of Odin from @realbbb 's thread, here.
You will also need to install the Samsung USB Drivers. These can be downloaded at this link.
To get the Samsung Firmware files, Samsung Firmware Downloader by Zachary Wander is highly recommended. The link to it is here.
Should you desire to pursue more information about Samsung Firmware Downloader, please use this link.
You will need 7-zip to extract the CSC file. To do so, get it from this link.
Go to Settings -> About Tablet and take note of the Model Number. It should be either SM-P610 (Tab S6 Lite 2020, Wi-Fi) OR SM-P615 (Tab S6 Lite 2020, LTE)
Then, tap on Software Information and scroll down to Service Provider Software Version. At the end will be a string of letters saying something like this: ITV/ITV/ITV. In this case ITV is your CSC.
Unzip Samsung Firmware Downloader. Click the "Bifrost" executable in the extracted folder.
Within Bifrost, enter the Model Name and CSC into the respective fields, like so:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After entering the correct information into the firmware downloader, click "Download" and wait while it finishes.
Extract the version of the downloaded firmware.
Find the file starting with CSC_XXXXX Make a copy of it and paste the file into another directory. Right click on it and choose 7-Zip -> Extract To...
In the folder of the extracted CSC file, find the PIT file; it should be something like GTA4XLWIFI_EUR_OPEN.pit
Unzip the version of Odin you downloaded. Right-click the Odin executable and click Run As Administrator
At the main Odin screen, enter the files of the firmware like so:
AP goes into the AP slot
BL goes into the BL slot
CP goes into the CP slot - (If using the LTE version)
CSC goes into the CSC slot
Now, navigate to Options in the Odin Window and choose NAND Erase and Re-Partition
Finally, navigate to the Pit tab. Accept the warning and add the extracted PIT file from earlier.
With the device powered off, hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons. Connect the device to your PC.
Press Volume Up to accept the warnings. At this point, you will see a message from Odin, saying "Added!"
Once you are certain everything is in order, press the Start button.
Wait for the firmware to flash. If successful, you will see a large green "Pass!" notification in the Odin window. Disconnect your device from the PC.
Your device should now be fully reset!
