To expand on this:
1) Unlocking the bootloader is required for root; the process of unlocking the bootloader wipes the device.
2) There is a TWRP build for the G970F here. Flash in Odin, then install Magisk through TWRP.

[Q] ROM & Unlock?

hi, i am new here,
i wanna ask:
1) What is ROM ?
2) What is Unlock?
2a) how to unlock?
i often see the posts with this term
A ROM is a complete system replacement for your device. Contains an operating system, applications and configuration mostly.
First of all, you should go to your device's dedicated forum and read the sticky threads which present the latest ROM information. you can probably find guides regarding ROMs and ROM replacement.
As to unlocking your device, you will be able to find this information in the dedicated forum, as well as using the search option.
If after reading you have more questions, you're always invited to post your question here.

Finally, I kept wondering why XDA cannot be organised, and cannot adopt this system for all threads and stickies meaning all rules and XDA guides, should be here too, instead of being another sticky by another MOD. Thus the moment a guest or member clicks on this link or meant to pop up automatically the moment anyone visit this forum, they have it all.
References and guides and note worthy XDA articles can all be linked here . similar to the master guide you have already mentioned but including all the MOD's request , for every-time there is New MOD, I notice another sticky, all well meant and needed BUT can be placed in one sticky, is what I would think is a better organized forum. IMHO
And this thread should be managed by all MOD's instead of just one, who might retire or may be too busy with other tasks
Members, Please do not post in this thread unless you have a sticky request. Any off topic posts will be deleted immediately
If the title of my thread could be changed from 50 to 100, that'd be great.
Thanks.

Hi!
Here is your device section,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2
The development sections have many roms to choose from, assuming you have installed a custom recovery.
If not, I suggest reading the guides and frequently asked questions threads in the General and Q&A sections... Usually near the top of the first pages.
There's a lot to read and learn about here... You'll need to dedicate time for this hobby.
If you have further questions , you can open a thread in the Q&A section.
Good luck!

Ah ok.

Please help me!!!

Note- please read the post carefully to avoid any missing information. Thanks in advance
I am using samsung galaxy j7 2016 and rooted it using magisk. But when i tried to revert to stock after getting bored, it booted up and showed no command screen after flashing and on pressing volume up+ power button, it showed some recovery logs(image attached). Now i dont know where the issue came from. I also wiped efs by mistake but restored it somehow.
Now i decided to flash custom rom to fix this issue. I chose the rom which is flashable version of my stock rom. It booted up normally and showed all the efs info normally. But then i did the most foolish thing, i turned off developer options by mistake which also turned off oem unlock. I rebooted the device for no reason and phones says ' custom binary blocked by frp lock'. I tried to flash stock rom again to fix this issue but it encountered no command error again and i either cant access stock recovery.
Is there any way to unlock oem in download mode and fix no command issue.
I want to recap that i have a phone with inaccessible stock rom, locked oem and no access to recovery except download mode.
Please help me
