Not sure what the problem or "normal" is? If you don't want to lose your files, the instructions are right there in the text.

....

You cannot opt out of the BETA program whenever you want unless you are willing to basically reset your phone! Thus the warning about losing all your data if you proceed. You have to wait until the final feature drop which occurs once every three months (I believe). At that time you can opt out, or go back to "normal" without losing your data. YMMV

So wait until March it's not long time

Okay a few weeks away hopefully everything goes smoothly and I can opt out safely with out resetting everything

And I am on t mobile out of the 626 area

Unable to boot screen?

Tried some android thingies today and got the following screen 2 or 3 times:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I press anything other than the send button, it just boots and everything seems fine.
But I really would like to know where this screen comes from? Is there something on the main memory or storage card where it does some checks?
I have the screen sometimes and I think it has something to do with the boot time. So I think the message is kind of engaged and fires only if something doesn't happen in a specific period. In my case I suspect the amount of PIM data might slow the boot time because I never delete and never move the stuff to an archive

So along with this I got a taste of Motorola's appalling customer service. It's bad enough the first transfer is not for new customers theb transfer 2 more times to some offshore Indians who fear the authority in someone's voice and don't know how to handle calls and not assertive whatsoever in even reading a script Cmon. Sick of This I better not run into any other issue with this device that I can't self fix. What a hassle spent over half hour this morning to get a 'well check it' response when it could have been handled domestically in 10 min tops. We need to bring those jobs back to amerikurrrr

[Solved] Battery Problems Since MM

I don't know about anyone else, but I have had horrible battery life since MM. It has taken me all this time to figure out what the cause was. Nope, no rogue apps, simply a setting. I wanted to report it just in case their were others like me. My phone is important for work as I am a traveling IT engineer and rely heavily on my phone for troubleshooting, calling, and emails.

I'm going to try this since I'm mostly on Wifi anyways and work from home. Since the update I've gone from 48hr battery life to around 28hrs with no change in how I use the phone.

New TwoFace XL Screen

Woke up to this all new split screen view this morn where half the screen looks like static on a tv screen. No drops or anything. I was really trying to hold out for Pixel3... no warranty on VZ and they offered me a replacement for $150 (I think not). Rebooted and no dice. Any ideas?... is this a software issue that maybe a master reset can fix? Or am I really SOL here?
Good thing is, the static half is still responsive so I can use it off memory. I’m on the Android P Beta if that matters.

) I powered straight to recovery settings to clear cache and factory restore that way. It is now frp locked and he hasn't used it since 2017 and can not remember his old code or which account was even on the dang thing. I'm not trying to waste more time with it tbh, but he's now upset that a phone which DID work (even though he hasn't used it in years) doesn't work and it's my fault. So to help my friend now, I could really use some advice? Or should I just give him $50 and call it a wash.
