Does anybody knows why viper4android has an distortion effect , some type of glicht like saturation clip when play music or in android ambient ?
I always return to stock rom MM because in all the @bhb27 CM rom's base for the quark, I been detect this noise, and I don't been able detect or fix that bug for me.
viper4android 2.4.0.1 cause bug sound in RR MM 6.0.1 last compilation.
viper4android 2.5.0.5 (guitardedhero) cause bug sound in RR Nogout 7.1.1 and CrDroid Nogout 7.1.1, both last compilation.}
viper4android 2.4.0.1 and viper4android 2.5.0.5 works great without clip sound error in Marshmallow: XT1225_QUARK_RETBR_6.0.1_MPG24.107-70.2.
I think is something in conflict in the CM base, and that's not present in base stock.

I've been using ARISE, which includes VIPER, without any problems in CM and now in CRdroid.
Well, I has detect the problem, is Rocket Player, in 6.0.1 stock rom works great, but in cm base rom have a glitch sound, some saturation.
VLC isn't have that problem, PowerAmp isn't works with viper.
Microphone fix for Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon

The module available in other thread ****ed up my Magisk installation, so here I've updated the template and only fixed microphone, there's no additional thing. It'll just fix the erratic volume levels while recording, because that's the only thing I'm getting.
I'll maybe add other configurations, but I'd like to keep it minimal for now; note that I'm just sharing what I made for personal use.
Tested on Pixel Experience 8.1.0 unofficial build by Alexey71 + Magisk v16.0 using Sony Audio Recording app, both mono and stereo mode. Note that other ROMs may be using different device trees, which means the module may not work in the ROM you're using.
Doesn't work on Treble enabled builds.
It's incompatible with stereo speaker module, or any other module that modifies audio_platform_info.xml or mixer_paths_mtp.xml.

I saw that you specified that applies to Oreo 8.1.0 ... for Nougat 7.x no?
Tested on official build of Pixel Experience, Magisk 16.0 (w/ Franco Kernel, if that matters). Works fine. Still get a little distortion but certainly better than before. In call was fine before, doesn't cause any problems now either. Thanks for this

Try, you can easily uninstall it, if not working upload audio_platform_info.xml and mixer_paths_mtp.xml present in your ROM
I have just installed it in RR Remix 8.1.0 by Endless and i have no audio in calls, and also the person whom i speak to, can't hear me. Thanks for your work though!

Hi, so I installed Lineage OS 18.x GSI and I have problems with touch screen not working after locking the screen. I'm thinking of returning to stock firmware since I don't find any GSI that works as a daily driver for this phone (SM-A125F).

Hi guys, I've tried the custom ROMs Pixel Exp, Pixel OS, Project Elixir and EvolutionX and none of these ROMs have inbuilt AA. I need it to connect to car while I drive and is a big problem for me without it. Can anyone suggest a custom ROM with AA inbuilt, please?
