Question XT2131-1 moto g stylus 5G (2021) Hard brick recovery - Moto G Stylus 5G

If I can edit this post, this will be a howto.
Path to get here:
- Installed TWRP successfully
- Think I installed Magisk successfully
- Not sure if I tried to flash a rom
- Would not boot
- Had a stupid idea to try booting off slot B
- black screen.
Current state:
- Will not boot, cannot start recovery (volume down w/ power)
- Only thing it will do is flash the LED if I hold down the power long enough. Flashes approximately for about 30 seconds 1 second apart
Items tried
- Ordinary USB cable watching Win 10 device manager with every combination of buttons I could think of
- Ordinary USB with Motorola / Lenovo Recovery & Smart Assistance with no luck.
- Purchased 2x different EDL USB cables, tried every combination of buttons, still nothing in Device Manager
- Screaming at it
- Calling Moto support and asking to pay for a reflash even though it was under warranty because I broke it, therefore Moto shouldnt loose money to fix my stupidity. The support staff in who knows where would not offer me anything but $199 to repair or free under warranty. Making Moto pay for my stupidity is one reason they wont let us have a reflashable phone...they dont want to pay to support me.
So I read
- Newer phones dont work with the EDL cables. True?
- Somewhere there's a photo of the EDL test points. If it comes to paying Moto the same price for replacement as I paid for the new phone, I'm going to solder 2 wires to the test points and run them through the case. Put in some jumper connector so I can fix the damn thing without effort.
- Is there any way to get the blankflash from a KNOWN Moto or Lenovo site? Or the stock rom again from a Moto or Lenovo site and a method to extract it to find or create from the stock a functional blankflash. (Yes I have read, it may be signed, maybe nobody can mod it, I just dont want to trust stuff I dont get from Moto/Leno. I wish I could get the full source from them and then I'd be in a happy world)
So, basically: EDL cables work on this or do I have to use test points? Any links to download blankflash (oh and tool as well) from Moto/Leno? (or minimally have a linux open source bit o code that will flash the blankflash files).

It should go straight to EDL when booting fails as long as the bootloader is unlocked afaik. You only need to short test points to recover OEM locked devices.
No official blank flashes either, they are leaked. You can rip the programmer from an existing blankflash and build your own if you really want. They are signed by Moto and will not work on devices they are not meant for.

Thx for contribs!
So, if I bought it unlocked from Best Buy, followed the bootloader unlock stuff which I had to get Moto accounts for...
then the test points wont save me?
Ie I should be investigating why it doesnt show up in Windows?
I thought it always showed up in dev manager but you needed drivers to make sense of it.
Right now it's nothing but black screen and flashing led no matter how I try buttons (long press power, hold up press power, hold down press power).
All of the above and nothing happens in Windows or on the phone (cept the led).
I was about to start tearing it apart tonight...

I'd try Linux or another cable/computer first, you should get a black screen and notification led in EDL mode. Shorting the test pins will get you into EDL if nothing else works.

Thanks for the advice. With the 2x special EDL cables one of which says it wont work on Moto's only Xianomi's...I get nothing but a flashing white light. Also the flashing white light is not directly associated with the cable button. Only the cable insert (sometimes) or the phone power button.
I've never seen anything in Win dev manager NOR have I ever seen anything in linux "watch -n 1 lsusb". I double check kern.log but also think thats never shown anything.
Another XDA thread said (regarding "newer Moto's") "Cables don't work any more and you need to use test points.
I'd love to see our gov force these companies to provide "parts". Can you imagine buying a Ford and them blocking you from using generic parts and also not providing you Ford parts?
This whole tech dominated environment is crap. Property ownership is a right. I cant steal your lawnmower, and you cant steal mine. When I lease a phone from someone...I cant screw with it cause I dont own it. When I buy a phone...its mine...I can do whatever I want. If I buy a lawn mower, and ride it to rob a bank...Deere doesnt outlaw mods to lawnmowers...it points me to the FBI who arrests me for robbing the bank.
Leave my phone alone. Provide clear paths with the software "parts" to repair the phone on my own.
Ok, I went off track.
Tonight...touch points that some stranger (sorry, nice guy) says are the 2x points on the MB to trigger EDL. Let's hope they dont actually short the thing out and ruin it. Why cant we get the gov to pull its head out of its...
Again, off track...
Details later on my test points. Specifically with a normal USB cable, touching the points, does anything happen in Windows dev manager? Also, if repeated in linux does lsusb now show QDL.. or kern.log?

In Linux you'd run the "lsusb" command and it should show "ID 05c6:9008 Qualcomm, Inc. Gobi Wireless Modem (QDL mode)". In Windows it'd show up as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" (or "Unknown Device" if the driver is missing). My bricks have always just booted into EDL themselves so I don't have experience with having to use test points.

Updates:
- Moto will not repair the device even if I pay for the repair. Since I broke it, I asked how much would cost just to reflash a perfectly fine phone. A nice person said $100 and I said fine, I broke it, I'll pay. Then they put me on hold and came back 10 minutes later and said "sorry, they told me that they wont repair it.".
To repeat, just to be clear, this company would rather fill a landfill with perfectly good hardware than repair the phone. Probably because the phone is built in a country where our laws don't reach. It's just branded with an American companies name...if still American. No, I'm not being nationalistic. My guess is in some foriegn country, a person bought a rebranded American product and was told their company would not repair it. Imagine if you bought a sedan, took it 4 wheeling and the tire fell off. Sure it's your fault, sure you're willing to pay to fix it...no, the manufacturer has locked down your product and you can't get anyone to fix it.
argghhh
We disassembled the phone, hooked it up to the computer, tail /var/log/kern.log, and touched the touch points. Nothing. Unplugged and replugged the normal USB-C cable and doing that with the power down got a flashing light. Nothing on the computer at all. Not in kern.log, not in lsusb output.
I'm open for ideas but at this point, I think I'll donate it to a cell phone repair shop and never buy this companies product again.
The phone is $200 brand new from Best Buy. Moto probably made $125? Surely they could just say "we'll repair it for $125 or send you a new one". They could then bury them in a landfill like Amazon does product and get 10 years before that was found out.
Yes, I unlocked the bootloader. Yes, I voided the warranty. I want to PAY to have it fixed.
ps- TWRP + magisk + something else and then boot from a different slot = VERY BAD IDEA

When I got (one of) the first Styluses I went straight to the park across the street and rooted it. Later, when I opened the camera, I got a faulty hardware message. The Metro store wouldn't help even though I just bought it (they had to call the cops on me)so, I called Motorola immediately thinking since I only bought it two hours ago they might stand behind the warranty anyway, even though the bootloader was unlocked. They could have made me a very loyal customer (I already was and told them this was my 4th Stylus this year and it really was) by helping me, and had the tables been turned I would have sure stood behind my obviously defective product, but they said, "To Bad So Sad." I've not been much of a fan of Motorola ever since which really sucks because all my phones are Motos and all my laptops are Lenovo. They did, however, send me a free stylus when I told them it had broken. A free stylus. I had that phone with the broken camera for months.

H.R.4006 - Fair Repair Act 117th Congress (2021-2022)
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/4006
This bill requires an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to make diagnostic, maintenance, and repair equipment available to independent repair providers.
Specifically, for digital electronic equipment sold or used in the United States, an OEM shall make documentation, parts, and tools available to independent repair providers in a timely manner and on fair and reasonable terms. Further, if an OEM has made an express warranty for digital electronic equipment with a wholesale price of $100 or more, the OEM must provide such items at an equitable price and convenience of delivery to enable the repair of the equipment during the warranty period.
The bill provides for enforcement of its provisions by the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general.
I have my fingers crossed that this bill passes.
I'd like all phones to have JTAG programmer points, clearly defined, accessible, and the ROMs publicly available (md5sum checkable) from the company that made the phone. That would be trusted. Getting the blank flash tool to blank flash some 3rd party (possibly or possibly checksumed but not download from the manufacturer) and then deploy a 3rd party recovery tool which will deploy a 3rd party ROM...is not safe nor can it be trusted.
and...I LOVE twrp/GIS/ASOP/... Not having root is not to protect me...its to lock me in. Only being able to use 3rd party tools...is dangerous.
If you are in America, write your senator...it wont do any good...but write them, force that bill to be passed, explain that their big compaign contributor, that a company which is large part of their stock portfolio...is screwing the American public and destroying the environment...and plainly...stealing. Will it matter...no, but at least you can say you tried.
Technically, I'm still dead in the water. Hold the power button down and the LED will after 15 seconds start blinking once a second. Indicates some type of software is functional and controlling the LED. Unsure if it's enough to resurrect the phone.
Any advice?

Full charge on warranty if phone is sent back with root is not true?

http://www.droid-life.com/2011/06/1...ging-full-price-of-warranty-phones-if-rooted/
Anyone know the validity of this? It is 9months old.
I've heard of that, even though I haven't been through it personally. I've also heard companies are easing up on phones being sent that are rooted so I don't know, probably just depends on the tech you get I think. Plus, only takes a couple mins to unroot your phone anyways for warranty purposes.
Generally, this is the assumed response for most carriers. Even though sales reps for some carriers are totally cool with you rooting your phone (like mine, for example), they'll still advise you unroot, since there are "no guarantees" that they can help you if you're still rooted.
In some cases you'll also have to reset the Download Mode counter (viewable by restarting your phone in Download Mode and looking at the counter on it). On certain Samsung phones (like my Epic 4G Touch), this involves using a "jig" that bridges pins 4 and 5 of a Type B Micro-USB connector with a 300-301K resistor (you can get a premade dongle for about $5 US on Amazon, or build it yourself with a Micro USB breakout board and an appropriate resistor).
If you're trying to troubleshoot something, one of the steps is to return to stock firmware/kernel/ROM/etc. and see if that fixes the problem; if it does, then a bug in your particular modification was the problem. If it doesn't fix the problem, then at least you're no longer in violation of warranty, so the manufacturer/carrier can fix it instead.

[Q] Nexus 5 came back from LG Repair with different software

Hello ALl,
I am not a developer and do very little tinkering with my android phones. That being said, I recently shattered my Nexus 5's sreen and sent it into LG to get repaired. They sent it back as "not repairable: Epoxy Crack." I turned it on as it was still fully functional (minus the screen) when I sent it off. The phone booted up with a letterboxed version of the Nexus 4 boot screen and after going through an initial set up, I went to settings to find that the phone now says:
Android version - KeyLimePie
Baseband version - M8974A-1.0.25.0.15
Kernel version - 3.4.0-gaf7416a-00002-g97abe44 / [email protected] #1 / Thu Apr17 10:56:17 KST 2014
Build number - aosp_hammerhead-userdebug KeyLimePie / FAC140417_KRT01B PDK853385 test-keys
Also, under runtime, I can chose between Dalvik, ART, and ART Debug mode. Lastly, there are a few diagnostics apps installed on the phone.
I am not sure if any of this is helpful to any developers out there, but if it is, please let me know and I can try to pull an image of the phone for you to use.
I suspect it is some old Android image that they flash onto every phone to do repairs, but since they did not reset the phone to stock, I am happy to try and get the software to any of you if you want it.

na, its an old pre kitkat prerelease, and has been known about for a long time. whats odd is thats what they flashed, instead of anything more recent. unless thats what their technician have, odd they didnt go with the factory img.

It is even more odd as I have done a factory reset before sending it in so as to ensure that my account data and info was off the phone in the case that they were to send me a new phone instead of swapping out the components of the original. It was fun looking through the random debugging and testing apps they left on the phone. Thank fully my fiancee reads and speaks Korean and she could tell me what the on screen buttons said.
Anyway, thanks. I have decided since LG won't repair the screen, I will. I ordered the screen, digitizer, and front bezel from ETradeSupply and will try to save the phone myself once the part arrives. If all goes well with the replacement, I will flash hopefully back to factory original and then upgrade to 4.4 again.
In the meantime, it looks like a few more days with the Moto G (purchased as a back up phone while sorting out the screen on the Nexus 5).
Interesting to see that the Test Version's Kernel date is 17th April 2014...
LG has two kind of firmware for their devices: FACTORY and USER. Factory image is used to test the phones hardware like bluetooth, wifi, screen etc... and enables some more options for LG testers to make it sure the phone works perfectly. The user image for nexus 5 is the same what google offers for us.
@mrfochs try to do a backup if possible. Kernel, system and radio that is what we need. Also please check the bootloader version if it somethig new then make a backup. You will have problems using LG flashtool in the future, but it can be solved easily. If you ever have to use lg flashtool to return to stock just contact me and we make your phone compatible again with LG flashtool.
While that build is technically old, like @vin4yak said, that kernel date is what's really throwing me off.
I'm on stock right now and KTU84P kernel reads it was created on March 17th, 2014
You should try and extract those troubleshooting apk's and share them with the community.

I am happy to try and make a backup, however I haven't the slightest clue how to go about doing it (like I said in original post I=newb).

This is so strange. I have the EXACT same situation happening to me. I got my phone back from LG as unrepairable due to "epoxy crack" and now it has this testing Key Lime Pie version that is impossible to update from.
Please let me know if you're able to successfully do the repair yourself or flash back to factory original. From this thread, it seems it's not easy to.
Which part did you order from ETrade Supply?
http://www.etradesupply.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=nexus+5
There's zero reason for this to be happening except extreme incompetence on LG's service tech's part. I would get in contact with them and demand some free service because of this. It's bad enough they can't repair the phone, but it's 100x worse that they send the phone back to you in even worse condition.
No excuse for this. I would be looking for compensation, personally.
Sadly I've heard other worrying things about LG's "repair" service. They don't even seem to realize there's a final clip that needs to be engaged on the back of the phone or else NFC and Qi don't work. That's basic stuff and gives me no confidence in their tech's abilities.
LG Flashtool affects Sideloads?

I have given up trying to get the app files off this phone as the current version of Android that is installed on here keeps crashing popping up "Google Play Services failed to load" or a handful of other popups indicating apps that have failed to launch. I set up the drivers on my computer to sideload 4.4.4 through ADB, but I keep getting "File Signature Verification Failed." Is this a result of trying to sideload the OTA while ADB is seeing a different firmware as a result of the LG Flash tool you mentioned?
I contacted LG to ask them how to get the factory software on the phone and they want me to ship the phone back to them in Fort Worth as their paperwork "doesn't indicate that anything was done to the phone." I would prefer to find a way to install stock back to the phone without having to mail my phone again (especially since I just replaced the screen).

It'll fail if you're using stock recovery?

Contact me on hangouts: [email protected]
Then I will make it work to flash google's rom. Only thing you have to do is let me connect to your PC through team viewer and connect your phone in fastboot mode to your PC.
Let me provide and update and go on a rant here for a bit. For anyone who cares to listen.
It took me 1 chat, 1 failed supervisor call back, and 3 consequent phone calls ultimately escalating to a supervisor to get LG to understand they made a mistake and send me a shipping label so they can get the factory test OS removed.
Here is a copy/paste from my first uncanny chat with an LG representative:
Mariangie: Unfortunately the OS they tested is the way they use to repair the phone and since it was not responding on that mode (service mode) that's when the phone is deemed unrepairable
Mariangie: and regretfully no it cant be put back into normal (customer) OS
lifeinpictures: that makes no sense
Mariangie: My sincere apologies
lifeinpictures: controls work just fine
lifeinpictures: it worked fine before I sent it
lifeinpictures: and controls and touch work just fine now
lifeinpictures: you cannot tell me that you guys purposely send items back with a testing operating system, meant for techs and not users
lifeinpictures: at the least, I should be able to get my product in the same state I sent it in
lifeinpictures: not WORSE
Mariangie: I truly apologize again for the inconvenience this may caused, I personally understand your position. I will certainly forward your comments and dissatisfaction about this matter.
lifeinpictures: I don't need you to forward anything, I need you to fix it.
lifeinpictures: you broke it
lifeinpictures: therefore you should fix it
Mariangie: I wish i have other options available, unfortunately the phone cant be put back into normal OS. It seems to have a physical damage that result in internal part not working
Mariangie: techs try to putting the phone into service OS but it is not working
Mariangie: making it not possible to have it repair
Mariangie: and no way to put back on normal mode
lifeinpictures: Mariange, I really doubt you know enough about the testing hammerhead OS to know what you're talking about
Mariangie: My sincere apologies
raul takahashi: an OS is not reliant on physical, operating parts
lifeinpictures: I understand, you feel upset about this
lifeinpictures: I truly apologize again for the inconvenience this represent
lifeinpictures: And again I wish i could have other options to supply you with
lifeinpictures: I'm afraid no other options to provide you with
Mariangie: Sorry Mr. LifeinPictures.
lifeinpictures: this is pretty much against the law Mariange
lifeinpictures: this is like giving you my car to repair a cracked window
lifeinpictures: and you give it back to me with a broken engine, which wasn't broken before
Mariangie: My sincere apologies, Again I wish i could have other options to supply you with, I'm afraid no other options to provide you with.
It took me all evening, but I finally reached a supervisor to resolve (interestingly, it's the exact same supervisor I had escalated to just 2 weeks ago. read below if interested. He immediately accepted the mistake, and finally offered a ship label to get the phone shipped back and fixed.
I have lost complete faith in LG as a company and will do everything I can to avoid them.
Previous history, copied and pasted from Google forum thread about cracked screen:
To quickly recap my history and experience with Nexus 5.
1. Buy Nexus 5.
2. Drop it on carpet from coffee table 2 feet tall, screen completely shattered. 4 months after purchase. (Owned 12 phones in my life, all handled way more abuse)
3. Pay LG $140 to repair.
4. LG sends me refurbished unit, not my original one repaired. I'm ok with this.
5. Buy heavy duty case because apparently this thing is fragile.
6. Lunch in an outside restaurant patio. Sunny day. Table is warm to the touch, but nothing anyone notices or cares about as they eat. I put my phone face down, glass on table. Pick up phone to leave, there is a crack from side to side of the phone. Just great. Can't even handle everyday situations, less severe than a hot car (for example).
7. Crack very soon start expanding to the rest of the phone. Now entire screen cracked.
8. Send to LG for repair, again.*
9. Phone comes back as unrepairable due to "epoxy crack". (B.S. this was less severe than my 1st one and phone is fully functional, electronically and mechanically. Research proves many recent attempts by other Nexus 5 owners sending cracked phones for repair have been denied)
10. Phone comes back worse than it was when sent, with testing factory OS instead of user OS. Unable to update from.
*=Customer service: 4 days go by since LG has possession of my phone. I call to ask for status, rep says "wait until we call your or email you". Next day, I get a UPS notice that phone is being shipped back. I call to find out why, speak to 3 reps, none can tell me anything other than "it's not repairable". 4th call reaches supervisor, who tells me it's due to "damaged electronics". It's a lie, but I give up.
(My theory on these newfound lack of willingness to replace screens:
LG / Google is aware they skimped on glass quality to keep the price low. They made a (decent) business decision to first do "whatever it takes" to keep customers happy and loyal. This includes fixing screens "outside of warranty" (since they know it's impossible for customers to prove a cracked screen is manufacturer fault) for a very reasonable cost of $140 which is close to cost (parts + labor) or potentially at a loss. This keeps the majority of owners at bay. Now, Nexus 6 is on the horizon and the loss or lack of revenue from these Nexus 5 screen repairs has surpassed expectation so they have advised their repair stations to deny them. They've done their part with an acceptable level of damage control and soon everyone will get a Nexus 6, move on, and forget the Nexus 5 was a debacle.)

lifeinpictures: and you give it back to me with a broken engine, which wasn't broken before
Mariangie: My sincere apologies, Again I wish i could have other options to supply you with, I'm afraid no other options to provide you with.

Good on you for standing up to their B.S. as there's just no excuse for that to happen. We can't argue with their reasoning for not repairing (it's up to them to decide if they want to attempt a repair for $140, after all) but they can't be so lazy/incompetent as to not reload the proper software on there. It would take them what, a couple minutes? Similar to how they're not engaging people's NFC/Qi charger on the back of the phone which should be obvious to techs who's job it is to work with these devices.
Don't forget you can always bring your phone into an independent repair shop, they won't refuse your money though I doubt their attention to detail will be much better than your average LG tech.
remove lg version?
I have the same problem. Is it possible to root this phone and remove the LG flash version and put KitKat on there?

hi, I flashed the stock android after unlocking bootloader, but now it is stuck in a boot loop. I also I noticed that when it flashed, after finishing, it said boot.sig recovery.sig system.sig werent found. when I tried to boot in the safe mode, the little green android man was on his back with a red exclamation point. any thoughts?

[Q]Dead Display, Need help with control via ADB

I have an SGS4 with a completely dead display (was run over a few times, don't ask lol)
Amazingly the phone still works, but so far I haven't been able to figure out how to get it into diag mode.
So for anyone that can help I'm trying to enable diag via PC/ADB because the screen is fubared but the phone still works.
I can get it to pull up the display with ASM and various other Screen to PC tools, but I need touch functionality to enable diag to migrate data to the replacement phone.
How to find a black cat in a darkroom? Hm-m-m

Everything is 100% backed up actually lol. Pulled all the info off my old hd and just used dfs. I could easily have used whiterabbit with just the meid hex but I was annoyed at not being able to control my phone without the display lol.
FYI, it is faster to go through sprint and just do self activation on the phone, but I'm a problem solver so I like to do things the hardware for just in-case scenarios lol. I'm not new to this My knowledge in the field of android is pretty abundant actually, just in narrow fields of info instead of broad. I've physically repaired them and know enough to be able to root/clone esn/flash/backup/ and should I care to, even modify or create my own code. I'm 30 years old and currently in college for a degree in computer engineering. I've actually been "playing" with android and smartphones since they came out.
I see. Well, we both are here to pass 10 post limit, so I did this already, and you didn't yet, he-he
P.S. I'm a self-educated electrician from Eastern Europe, older than you, repair sometimes motherboards, laptops, etc. Not earning big money, just for fun. So I understand your, let say, heat in the ass. I'm weak in English, sorry )
P.P.S. Ah, your join date... maybe not )

i9300 repair or retrieving internal storage if phone is not detected from computer?

HI
My wife's phone (i9300 galaxy S3) has gone wrong and it went off without battery.
I found a new battery, but it lasted only one day. I thus decided to take it for repair,
as I think that this is the charge connector that is broken, but actually, the tech told me that it was probably the motherboard,
as when it used a tool to plug it to the direct charge ports on the side, the phone only bootlooped.
Thing is:
My wife's phone wasn't using cloud or external SD,
it was not rooted.
I tried some android toolkits to connect it, but odin or adb don't detect it, so I have no chance to try and put some new kernel on it.
It has no recovery mode, and when in download mode (1st screen), it actually doesn't last long before it reboots anyway.
Choosing some option will also make it reboot.
So I think it is failed beyond software repair.
But if you have suggestion for this (the tech was at a small street stall and I don't expect him to be high level, no offense, but he seemed to only perform two repairs, screen and charge flex boards, so not much more able than me if he can't go beyond this), feel free?
So my second question is :
Does anyone know how to retrieve the internal storage of the phone without breaking it, and reinstall it in a working way on a new motherboard?
Or alternatively, on an emmc reader such as those used for raspberry cards and so on? (I don't want to put some link, I don't want my message to be filtered)
The photos on this chip are priceless for us, and I would even pay professional to retrieve these (I would prefer not having to, because money doesn't exactly come cheap to me, but I guess I won't be able to make it alone.
So if you know some repair service in Europe that would be able to perform such task, I would be grateful for your sharing of such knowledge.
I saw an alternative in malaysia, but it feels a little too far for being able to do something in case of problem.
Thanks for your attention and time.

Cellallure Miracle 6.0 S programming

Starting a thread about the Cellallure Miracle 6.0 S dual sim factory unlocked phone. There is so very little info from the manufacture and anywhere on the internet. These phones are great for the fact they are unlocked, support all bands, take two SIM cards, and are fully programmable. The problem is there is no real instructions or help for the phone. So I am asking for any and all info to program and use these phones. I have Metro PCS so I am looking for specific info on this, but I am hoping to have a complete guide for as many carriers as possible with these phones. Thanks!!! :good:
Was thinking of returning
It hasn't been that great of a phone for me. the dual sim thing never really worked and the screen is wanky. battery is so-so (I think 'cuz) I use an old Kyocera travel charger that's 350mA overnight. also doesn't stay connected to BT devices. as an added inconvenience, the sim cards and micro SD are stacked in such a way that you have to pull the battery and use an exacto knife or needle to get them out; there is no spring load on the SD so its really hard to get out from under the sim slots. I just checked here (XDA) to see if anyone had made the OS better. I might keep it if there's a chance it can be improved. I just turned off the screen lock and removed my google account. there was no option to remove the IMAP account and when I tried to remove the Opera mini account I received an error message saying this operation is not allowed by your administrator. OK check this out; heres the menu from a bootup whilst holding down the Vol- and power button ( with typical 1 sec release and repress of said power button):
Oh wait I need to have image hosting to do that huh? anyway it said Factory Mode: Auto Test, Manual Test, Item Test, Test Report, Debug Test, Clear eMMC, Version (which brought up a really cool page in neon green) and Reboot.
CellAllure Miracle 6.0 S = The best $32.98 I've spent in a long time.
After severely busting up the screen & then some on the POS Samsung (shouldn't be allowed to call itself a Galaxy) ON5 and tearing my ACL at the same time roughly 3 months ago I'd been in desperate need of a new phone. Hell, I've needed a new phone since about 5 minutes after I got that ON5, but that's neither here nor there.
I had, and still do, grandiose ideas of replacing the busted up screen on my nearly brand new Lumia 1520 but even I had to admit that taking on a project of that magnitude with that type of complexity was biting off more than I could chew. So needless to say I've suffered with low-end, sub-par mobile devices for longer than any relatively tech savvy and attractive blonde female ever should, but I didn't want to invest another penny into a crappy phone that I'll hate within 41 minutes of ownship, so I suffered for my cause patiently waiting for "The One" to present itself when the time was right. I was planning on a Nokia 6/8 or a Blackberry KeyOne, or even possibly splurging on The Essentials Phone, but then I ran across a deal while crusing the clearance inventories of a few of my favorite big box retailers for the CellAllure Miracle 6.0 that I couldn't pass up, even if I wanted to., plus it was an added bonus that I found said deal on my B-day weekend. SCORE!!
I picked up this amazingly quick, fluid and I'll even say lovely lil mobile device for the super low clearance price of only $32.98 at a Target store that was only 7 miles from my house. Granted, I have a Target on my backyard, but for whatever reason the Miracle 6.0 hadn't been marked down from full price ($129.98) yet even though they had 5-6 sitting on the rack. I found that price at only 4-5 stores, but others had it proved at $54.98, which is a steal for a phone this awesome.
My uncle had to have his iPhone 6 plus replaced once again because of the known flaw in the motherboard the same weekend and as has he's setting up his iPhone 6S Plus I'm happily setting up my Miracle & my uncle had to stop and look at my phone for a second. He did a double take. He was me again how much I paid for it and then shook his head while handling his overpriced Apple scam of the season when he realized that my phone was not only comparable to his, but better than the iPhone in many ways and I paid less than the going rate for a take for a tank of gas for my phone.
I'm beyond satisfied with it, but like you said, there is little to no information to be found online about the phone itself, any MODs for it, or even info on how to take a flipping screenshot with the damn thing, which is what I'm trying to do. I was hoping that I'd find more info here since you guys are my go-to source when I need a plethora of information asap about a mobile device. But if looks like you're just as lost as I am.
Hopefully we will be able to gather up enough info in the near future to compile compendium of knowledge,
tips, tricks, hacks, and the like for all users of the CellAllure Miracle 6 0 S to enjoy for years to come!!
Thanks for reading if you made it this far.
SS
SS - power + volume down or hold down the power until the reboot/shut down menu pops up. Last option is SS..
But hopefully you've figured some of this out by now lol
