Hey,
MIUI is a really beautiful ROM and I use it as my main rom, but I miss the feature of taking photos with HDR (I tried the stock camera app and Google camera). I read on the MIUI forums (see *here*) that this is due the missing of some libraries. The UNOFFICIAL MIUIv5 Multilanguage rom (*here*) does support HDR though. Is there a way to flash these libraries and get HDR support on Stock MIUI?
Thanks.

You'd have to compile the rom yourself. But I'm guessing it's not to easy to add those libraries or they'd be there
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Just flash this over MIUI and you get HDR modus + the new google camera.
Im looking for a pure Android Rom for my Mix 2s. Maybe Lineage OS?
But what is with my camera? Is there any Problem? Bad quality or no portrait shot?

You can install a google camera port or even a magisk module called anx camera mod which ports the stock MIUI camera to aosp roms
But with magisk google pay dont work... :/
wrong !

is not true, i use magisk and gpay without problems and no hide in magisk
Roms have no impact on camera quality IF the same app is used in all roms!
So no quality difference?
In xiaomi app i can switch between the 2 cameras.
In wirch other app i can do it also?

No quality difference
-You can use the ANX camera (magisk module, same as MIUI camera (screenshot)).
-Or you can use the GCam mod from san1ty (the telephoto one, which you can find here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s/themes/port-google-camera-mod-san1ty-t3924349)
I have created this thread to discuss the fact that if anyone was able to extract the Stock MIUI camera application for Redmi Note 8/8T (ginkgo/willow).
As we all know that using Gcam gives better photo quality but Gcam isn't fully compatible with our device. The wide angle lens, macro lens and I also believe the depth sensing lens don't work on Gcam hence not using the full capacity of the device camera hardware.
It will be great to have the Stock camera application alongside with Gcam so that we have better quality images using Gcam and also use the other camera features using stock camera application when needed.
Also anyone having the required knowledge to extract the Stock Camera application can provide a guide as I own the phone and am willing to get the application.
Well you're right, and in fact i'm already using both camera's applications when needed and i find this great!
It IS possible to extract the stock Camera apk simply using an app like Skit or ApkExtractorLite (but i strongly recommend the 1st one), no need to guide, it's simply as a couple of taps. Just done so on my phone as a test and it works. Maybe it's not exchangeable between different variants like from Global to India, China or another region, but it should be fine if on same version.
Have you tried doing it by yourself or you're in need of the APK file?

I own an Indian variant of device. It will be really helpful if you provide a link for the apk.
Also, users owning devices of different regions can post their Stock Camera apk by extracting the application using the above mentioned applications so that everyone can use them.
THANKS!

not work on any rom, when i instal always failed can't instaled
https://camera.aeonax.com/
Version 165 working fine on pie roms. On Android Q for now, macro and wide lens don't working.
Apk depend on lot of libs and Xml files, porting from Miui is hard cuz apk using Miui framework so no chance to work on any Aosp without smali debugging... Only easy way is to port from Mi A3 laurel_sprout becouse that apk don't depend on Miui framework and will work on any device running aosp with just few tweeks, but you need to find all libs, xml, and other files for camera and make Magisk module. All needee files are in system/lib-lib64 system/etc vendor/lib_lib64 vendor/etc

Xiaomi Devices already have ANX camera, which is pure port of MIUI stock cam for custom roms.
flash anx cam module from magisk download sections and you will be able to use all the lenses (in pie roms). Aux in Q roms are work in progress.
Link broken. could you plz update?
yo
Just extracting the original miui cam.apk (from/when in miui - and then flashing a custom rom - and then try to install that apk) - will not work - u cant install it (just says failed to install)
I just tried. - I am a total NEWBIE to this custom rom stuff - but yesterday - my 168 hours was finally over so that I could unlock bootloader (on my redmi note8t-willow) flashed Pixel experience and - well: (I found a rom made by darkJoker and installed that - but the camera had no 0.6x wideangle) - so then I tried the official Pixel Experience rom from download.pixelexperience.org/ginkgo - and it worked like a charm! The camera app is EXACTLY like it was in the miui 11. WITH wideangle AND macro (I had reservations because it said "ginkgo" and NOT willow - but wow - it worked and excellently so).

nothing for miui camera,
and just good xml for gcam
Look here: https://t.me/ginkgodev and send /get micam. Flash this via the recovery and apply the rights for this app manually before launching the first time.
hi, I just want to tell my test on ANXCamera_190 with MIUICamera_v4.3.002191
my device is Redmi Note 8 ginkgo rooted with PixelExperience
the official build was okay but its an older version of MIUICamera and with bugs cant save to sd card, so I got a trick to update its camera to MIUICamera_v4.3.002191.
you can follow this steps
-install ANXCamera as usual (i was using ANXCamera_190R).
-download MIUICamera_v4.3.002191 from apkmirror
-rename it to ANXCamera.apk
-use any file manager with root access to replace system/priv-app/ANXCamera/ANXCamera.apk with new downloaded file.
-restart
-enjoy
tested with PixelExperience plus 11 and 12

Hi guys, I have a g920f and apparently I have problems with the camera app on every oreo rom or above that I try to flash. Installing a camera app from the playstore is no use either. Is there any fix for this? Are there others who have the same problem?
There is no fix, use footej or open camera for better results (above oreo)

open camera does not work for me, all of the camera apps have a lot of lag and the flash is unusable. I guess I'll be sticking to nougat roms until I upgrade

try to enable camera 2 api in opencamera settings, footej should work immediately
also Evo-X rom is best rom right now, it's Android Q (10)
Don't expect any Stock Camera performance on Oreo or above
keep using nougat based roms if you want maximum quality from camera
I recommend Ultimate Nougat v3.1 or MiPa s8 Port
Hello,
I have experienced a few glitches with Xiaomi.EU ROm, so I would like to give a chance to some custom ROM.
But, I would like to use camera at full 108 MP pics and store then to SD card, which Pixel camera app doesn't do.
So, is there a ROM that has bulit in camera app with that possibilities, or is there a Xiami camera ap from 13.0.7.0 ROM that can be flashed into one ROM and used as default camera app?
Which one to use? PixelOS, Pixel Experience, Project Elixir, Evolution X, Lineage OS ?!?!?!?
Obviously any rom shipped with Lineage os Aperture does not take 108 MP photos. Latest Elixir and CrDroid have miui cam in them ( only the latest). I tried crdroid 9.4 and the camera works fine except for slowmotion.
