So for some reason Google wont install on my Xiaomi Redmi A1 because of Google Go i think? Thing is Google Go is good but the Assistant Go app doesn't really have that much customization. I have the non-go version of assistant installed and i want to use it but it requires the regular version of google to work.
Anybody know a workaround that doesn't require root or such?
Device Info:
Xiaomi Redmi A1 (220733SG)
Android 12 Go Edition
Sorry if my english is bad and this is a noob question
Indeed, you can install the “full version" of most of Google's proprietary apps on a device running an Android Go Edition build. But, as you've probably found out yourself, you won't be able to download these apps from Google Play. You'll need to download the apps app package (APK) from a trusted Android app repo. Be sure to download the correct architecture (ARM, ARM64, etc.) as well as the correct DPI matrix.(apps listed as nodpi are universal and will work on any DPI config). Once downloaded you should be able to install the APK and run the standard build of Google app on your Go Edition device. You will have both the standard app and the Go Edition version of app installed, and you can choose to use either one. APK Mirror is a trustworthy repo for Google's proprietary app packagers.
Thanks for your answer! I'll try to find an APK of google that supports my device. I appreciate your help.

Currently, we already have a thread for xpose module to help users to run mutiple Skype ID on their android here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-skypex-version-spoofing-skype-app-t2860388
I also followed that thread from October. However recently I just found out a small tip for who wants to run 2 skype id on same android device without xpose module.
HOW TO:
1. Download and Install version from google play normally: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skype.raider&hl=en.
(If you cannot access google play or you don't have google play on your phone, just go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2392504 to request apk file or use evozi's website to download it)
2. Download and install version from skype China's website. Because Google service is not availabe in China so Skype must publish a version for this market on their website.
Link for Skype China Website's download page: http://skype.gmw.cn/down/skype-for-mobiles.html
EXPLAIN
I checked the package name, one from GPlay is "com.skype.rider" and one from Skype China's website is "com.skype.rover". That's the same method with the xposed module I mentioned (2 apps with 2 different package name) but it can be considered as official way from Skype and of course it's more stable in my opinion
Hope this can be useful for users as me for using 2 skype ids at the same time. Of course if you want to run more than 2 id, using xpose module still works well. But for 2 ids, this is much easier.
Thanks for explaining where rover was from. I was very surprised to see it today, signed by the official key.
If anyone wants it, I also stuck it here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/skype/skype-rover/.

Hi, I bought a Chinese tablet - MEDIATEK - with Android 9 system. I tried to install Zoom Cloud Meetings from Google Play and it didn't appear in the list of available apps. I downloaded the .APK and tried to install it, but it blocked all my attempts. Once it said that it was not suitable for the device, and once unable to parse the file. What can I do? I'll be grateful for every answer. THANK YOU!
I am using Xiaomi Mi Pad 1 with lineage os 14.1 (Android Nougat 7.1) but zoom cloud meeting app is not working. I tried installing older versions from apk mirror but after opening zoom app it's asking for update.

Most likely the tabled is not Android 9 as they claim to. Many unbranded Chinese companies claim the have a newer version of Android than it really is. Zoom is supported only on Android 5 and higher. There are older versions of zoom which are Android 4+.
I recommend to download Device Info HW from play store and see the real specs.
Also download apps like zoom from a site |www apkmirror com| The site is reliable and the fingerprints match. Also when installing from 3rd party websites make sure the md5 or sha fingerprints match.

Thank you - I returned the tablet to the vendor, but again thank you for answering!
Hi. I have read that there is a lot of stuff that can be done with a rooted phone.
I rooted my Galaxy S7 (SM-G930T), Baseband version G930TUVS9CSC1, Android version 8.0 (Oreo) with one of the guides I found here.
If I uninstall updates of the Playstore it goes down to version 10. I would like to have version 8 or lower. Is that even possible? Can I uninstall the current Playstore and install the one from Nougat for example? Do I have to replace the Google Play Services app too? Would it still work?
If it can be done, could someone please guide me on how to do it?
Thank you
You can flash any playstore app doesn't matter if you're rooted or not. It will replace the existing play store. No need to flash something else. You can find various versions of play store e.g. here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...2-android-apk-download/download/?forcebaseapk

You can also try an app called "APK SIGNER".
apk-signer - Apps on Google Play
Let's sign apk files
play.google.com
I think there might be a thread on the subject somewhere here @ XDA, but, basically, when you sign the apk, it prevents the Play Store from updating the app, it won't even show up to update.
Works on apps from the Google Play Store as well, they don't have to come from alternate sources such as APK Mirror.
