[CLOSED] Question on thread posting - General Questions and Answers

Hi there,
I firstly posted two questions in the original thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-other-directory-than-platform-tools.4536847/
Question 1: would it be possible to adb pull partition (ex. userdata) to any other location than under platform-tools directory?
Question 2: would it be possible to adb pull partition even to an external disk?
Question 1 was solved but Question 2 remained unanswered.
I created a new thread "How to pull Android partition directly to an external disk?" for Question 2, which was deleted by the moderator, under the name of duplicate of the original thread.
I edited the original thread by marking "Solved" for Question 1, and started a new thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...tion-to-external-disk.4537667/#post-87950783, which was closed again by the moderator for the same reason.
After contacting the moderator, he replied
"Creating one or two fresh threads for a question that has already been asked in another thread (but not answered as stated by you) is violative of Rule 5. You can continue in the same thread by bumping it up every 24 hours. You can also edit the thread title if necessary. Please read the Rules and follow them."
But would it be possible to
- remove Question 2 from the original thread by editing it; and
- start a new thread dedicated to Question 2 like the previously deleted and closed threads?
Thanks.

it's the same question. there is no difference between Question 1 and Question 2

Hello and good morning, @wenyendev
I've closed this thread because I can't recognise how the community might be helpful to solve issues or to answer questions you might have with us forum moderators. I suggest to consider to discuss your above questions privately by personal message / conversation with my esteemed teammate @TNSMANI who handled your threads as described by you above. Just as a personal remark: I would have acted exactly the same way like TNSMANI based on the same assessment and had also closed respectively deleted your duplicate threads.

[Question] Best Rom for our S7(Exynos)

If you Google it, you'll find so many hits and so many good roms, so, my question for you is, what is the best rom for our device and why?
Present your answers with the reasons and if possible, links to their posts/sites.
I actually like Ambassady's S8 port alot because of battery durability and smoothness. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/rom-s8-port-s7-s7-edge-ambasadii-t3619551).
Hi you should place this thread in the Q&A - Thread so this part of the forum keeps clean.
And there is a nearly similar Thread concerning your question -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/help/best-custom-rom-t3609971

Hello CyberDrag0n,
I've moved the thread in Q&A.
For your information, only moderators can move threads, so if you create a thread in the wrong section or if you see misplaced threads by other members , please use the report button at the bottom left of each post. A moderator will handle it.
EDIT: also, as said by @Rhonin86, there is a similar thread already, so you can search in the section if there is a similar question before posting.
Thanks.

Anyone Know How To Repack .img Files Into Payload.bin?

What does "reserved" mean

I keep seeing it on every rom thread but yet to find out what it means.

The Original Poster (also abbreviated as OP) of a ROM thread very often additionally creates posts no. 2 and/or no. 3 immediately after he created his ROM thread i.e. after the creation of the thread's first post (that is also known as the Opening Post, which is also abbreviated as OP).
If the OP hasn't yet a content for the posts #2 or #3, then he enters "reserved" meaning these posts are reserved for his future use that e.g. could be to add changelogs in post #2 if new versions of a ROM are released.
I hope I was able to sufficiently answer you're question.
By the way, a remark: We only allow developers to reserve posts in their own development thread, and nobody else. This means if you pass by "reserved posts" that don't comply with this condition, please report such a post via the report function. Thanks for your cooperation.

As far as I know, you can only edit a thread, not delete it. You could try reporting your thread's original post and ask if they can delete the thread.

@coockedcow Welcome to XDA! I hope you'll always get the support you require.
A user is not able to delete a thread or a post; you can only edit your posts. Likewise you are not able to close/lock a thread, this also requires a moderator. If you like one of your posts deleted or one of your threads close, please notify the moderators team via the report function. I've by the way moved this thread from forum "Samsung Galaxy A51 Guides, News, & Discussion" as your thread was not related to that device.
Please be also aware that we generally don't delete threads but only close them in order to avoid HTTP 404 errors after search engines have indexed XDA. Such errors provide a poor user experience that we want to avoid. The only exceptions to this rule are spams and duplicate threads; however, latter ones only immediately after they were created.

Is This Normal?

I have a Samsung A03s and in the kmsg.log kept mentioning [275: teegris rpmb] TZDEV ERR tz_iwio_alloc_iw_channel(175): IW buffer registration failed, error=-111 and [275: teegris rpmb] TZDEV ERR tz_iwsock_connect(619): Failed to connect socket root_task, error=-111 and I decided to check them out. After doing some Google searches I discovered the Teegris got hacked by a USB charger. I got curious about my N20 because I used the same charger on my phone. I checked the sockets on my Nord N20 5G and I honestly don't know what I'm looking at. I'm hoping someone could help me understand and let me know if this is normal or if I should be concerned.
I sent an email to OnePlus and I was told to reset the wifi, mobile, and Bluetooth in the settings and nothing really changed other than the ports and I-Nodes that were connected. I'll post the Samsung and both OnePlus files.
