Thanks unfortunately, its causing a bootloop.
Everything went well and build was successful but still its not booting.
I am still figuring out root causes of the bootloop. Maybe problem with vendor blobs.
I will rebuild once again tomorrow with different vendor blobs.

Added download link.
Update :
Sync with LOS source
December Security Patch

sorry to ask.
What is this rom?
The official version is no longer supported.
What do you do to the rom?
What do you add?
would be to update on the official 18.1 without losing anything?

What is this rom ? --> Unofficial ROM build using LineageOS source code (Just a hobby project), They always merge monthly security patch to all active branch, like LOS 17.1, LOS 18.1, LOS 19.1 and LOS 20,
The official version is no longer supported. --> Yes, thats because LOS team started testing LOS 20 and they can only maintain two OS build (Currently LOS 19.1 and LOS 20)
What do you do to the rom? --> For now sync with latest LineageOS source code to build ROM for whyred with monthly security update, If possible will try to build LOS 19.1
latest build has december security patch
What do you add? --> Currently nonw
would be to update on the official 18.1 without losing anything? --> You mean update from official rom to unofficial rom ? i dont think it will work so i dont recommend updating from official rom to unofficial rom

Thank you for patching the latest security updates . Atleast we have a ROM being maintained ( unofficially) . Thank you for your efforts.

if the rom is the same and you only add security patches, why can't you update it?
it should work right?

Any idea on how to apply MicroG instead of original Gapps ?

Thanks, idk what to say, android 11 was released just 3 weeks ago and it's already available for surnia. Thanks man, for keeping this device relevant and alive, thanks !
Excellent work! It's really impressive to see Android 11 running on this phone already. I haven't had any issues with the ROM so far besides a few app crashes here and there. I flashed the latest ARM package of BiTGApps for Android 11 and I can confirm it works.
Congratulations on getting 11 running on this!
Can you please share your roomservice.xml file from .repo/local_manifests directory so I can see what repos were used to build this?
I want to try to replicate your build on another msm8916 platform device. I could not find a manifest or roomservice.xml on https://github.com/MalluOS
Thank you.

Make sure your wifi frequency is 2.4 GHz. Try changing the channel on your router, it worked for me. There may also be some BT interference.
WiFi and Bluetooth both working great. ROM is fairly stable. Great work.
Very stable although the system clock occasionally malfunctions. I found NixGapps to work the best. Also flash the pixel launcher as the Trebuchet launcher isn't very stable and often crashes. To root, you must use magisk canary (21.0 or later) since the latest stable version (20.4) doesn't support android 11 yet. Bluetooth file transfer is broken and won't accept any files. BT audio works perfectly well. The ROM already supports Google Assistant so no need to force enable it with build.prop.
anyone aware of the gapps package that works with this ROM?
whats lottie animations? screenshots?

Hi, this rom doesn't have face unlock feature.
Ok, thank you. Anyway th ROM works great, no Bugs and good battery Life. Good work.
I uploaded the new build (lineage-18.1-20220312-UNOFFICIAL-grus.zip) with the latest LineageOS source (March 2022 Security Patch).
This is the last build for lineage-18.1, because lineage-19.0 build seems to be stable for daily use.
Thank you.
I uploaded the one more build (lineage-18.1-20220316-UNOFFICIAL-grus.zip) which passes Safetynet on both global and chinese version of grus.
Hey does anyone experiencing issue that when the phone turned off it will be warm and draining battery?
when you turn on the Internet from system profiles, it always turns on on the second SIM card, even if the first SIM card is installed by default
is it possible to compile the build with the latest official updates from the Lineageos team and android secuirty?

Perhaps this firmware is the most stable of all further created. It's bad when developers start developing one, leave without finishing it, and start doing something else.

Spoiler: Personal Note
LineageOS still keeps old builds updated right? No. Updates are cut off for 16.0 branch over a year ago. Android security patches are still being backported but you have to pick them yourself and that's essentially what I did. While I was at it I also enabled signature spoofing in case anyone wants to use microg. It wasn't as easy as using the patch from lineageos4microg repo. It fails the build for some reason so I picked a commit for it then edited it to make it system apps only. Then there was the case of kernel issue. I skipped building it and used TureX's Phenix Kernel. Why re-invent the wheel right? Since this is an unofficial build webview issue is gone as well. Included webview is based on Chromium version 100. Anyway the whole thing happened because I complained at Darkjoker360 about how long it would take to apply the security patches from gerrit. He's the OG for doing device trees and teaching me repopick (how could i've missed it the whole time?). I signed the build with my own keys so that lineage would stop pestering about public keys. That means you have to factory reset if you're running official or another unofficial build. There is a migration zip going around but I didn't bother creating that considering the userbase. Depending on requests I could do a build every few months with newer security patches. -given that they will keep on getting backported-
TL;DR
-2023 January Security Patch
-Phenix Kernel included, no need for specific emui version
-Webview included, no need for bromite
-Signature Spoofing enabled for MicroG
-Signed with my own keys, you need to factory reset if you're switching from official or another unofficial build
What's not working :
VoLTE & WoWiFi
Offline charging (?)
Instructions :
Download the latest build and microg/gapps
Reboot to TWRP recovery
Sideload latest build
Wipe > Swipe "Factory reset"
[Optional] To disable encryption mount /vendor then type : adb shell "sed -i 's/,fileencryption=aes-256-xts:aes-256-cts,reservedsize=20M//' /vendor/etc/fstab.hi6250"
Sideload microg/gapps
Reboot

I noticed it as well but I forgot to add it to thread afterwards. Thanks for reminding. It could be fixed i think (?). I tried iceow's offline charging fix but it wasn't working. I'll test some stuff and return my findings.

Lol, it's just charging pngs. I messed with android 13 too much that I forgot it was the only problem back in the day. I tried multiple binaries and created multiple services while trying to fix something that's not broken in the first place. Good catch.
and i was doing the same ..... wanted to modify the loader file for android 12...... Now it works. And do you know how this can be achieved for Android 10? So far with neither of the two paths I have been successful.
