Hello !
I've been trying to root my Realme 9 4G version for a while. The main problem is that I can't find any TWRP version compatible with my phone's model. So I tried to find other ways to do it, but the one with TWRP and Magisk seems the best to me. I can't find any other custom recoveries that works on my phone model.
Could you help me? Thanks.
Hi! Did you unlock bootloader ? Because the first thing you need to root any android device is to unlock the bootloader
you don't need TWRP for rooting with Magisk. not sure what the above link provides but the only official download source is Magisk github

Hello Everyone,
I am Ireen. Last few weeks I have been trying to build a custom ROM and I finally did it. But most important and confusing thing is how I flash this ROM to my device. I am not using popular device like HTC or Samsung I am using a Chinese tablet (MTK). So from this step what I have to do to flash this ROM to my device. On some tutorial they suggest to download kernel source code from HTC or Samsung website and add it to the ROM. If I manage kernel source code for this device then how I marge it with my ROM and prepare my ROM perfect for flashing into my device.?
I just need some guide lines. Any tutorial or thread link will help.
Thanks in advance.
So guys finally realme allow us to unlock ( it will take longer time for unlocking as they will review your application than provide a ota which includes the fastboot binary) the bootloader of our realme 2 pro. They have also released the lite version of kernel source ( have not released full kernel source code!).

Guys share your views here after unlocking the bootloader.

It's is mandatory for creating device tree.
I wish they should have given an easy procedure and don't have to wait to unlock our bootloader. Also i dunno know when the development will start or whether we'll get to see any custom roms. Hope the developers will take interest in this phone.
I hope to see development soon

Yeah the procedure is lengthy and complicated! Development will start after releases of full kernel source code.

So without device tree no custom roms can be built.
Then what can be done with lite kernel source?

Hello,
I'd like to get into android ROM development. But I will need help/guidance.
I've managed to build lineageos for curtana using xiaomi kernel and malachite device tree and vendor files. Don't know it it actually works as I don't have the device
.
So as I said I'd like to learn it, but as android is big I am still kinda lost in it. I know i can create something that already is, but that is not useful to the others, so that's why I am thinking about these 2 devices xiaomi note 10 or note 10 lite as they don't have any roms yet.
So if there is anyone who will be able to help and guide me through the process of getting device tree, vendor files and using (xiaomi) kernel putting it all together, I will be more than happy to buy one of those devices and go and create and support some lineageos, aosp and or pixel experience roms.
Thanks

Hello, I am very new to everything. My knowledge is basically limited to using Linux. Could someone tell me where I can find the documentation of how to build TWRP and LineageOS for an unknown phone.
Or tell me what the general process is.
I cannot understand anything, when trying to understand I feel like being faced to a wall and not understanding how the hell it works.
Thanks in advance,
Snow
