Hello, I have an x60 pro, which is a great phone, but I have a new phone and need to sell it, so I went to factory reset, which brought back the Chinese menus, which I can't read. So, I can't find where to change the language to English. I tried to used those translator apps which translation the menus from cantonese to english, but it 'system' option does not seem to be there. I am attaching some photos. Please, anyh help would be very much appreciate.
Try to reset again if not work reflash the rom

I tried to get App2Card to work. It worked, but afterwards everything dissapeared. So all my apps are gone, including the Market and the camera doesn't find my SD-Card anymore so it tries to store it in the internal storage.
So now I want to reset it. But when I go to Factory Reset in the settings, it says it isn't going to reset the system apps, so the market will still be gone after the reset. Then I tried it the hard way via the recovery, but then it says:
E: Can't open /cache/recovery
or something like that. Flashing the SBF isn't possible 'cause there is no Dutch SBF and my phone uses the Dutch SBF plus I' don't have Windows so RSD Lite is a no go for me. So how can I hard reset it now? Does OpenRecovery work?
I get the same error when I run recovery & Open Recovery works on my phone, but I can't say for sure if clearing the data & cache from Open Recovery will give your apps back.

I don't care for my apps, as long as I get the Market back, then I can install my apps again
What guide do you suggest me to install openrecovery?
I had almost same issue
resolved with sbf_flash (linux)
how have both stock recovery and openrecovery
if reflashing is not an option, try to revert by hand the installation of open recovery

Eh, reflashing is not an option 'cause there is no Dutch SBF although the phone is released here.
But that's why I asked: what guide should I follow to install openrecovery?

Open Recovery
HTH
what exactly is dutch sbf?
is it just localization? or specific radio bands
compare with the names of stock roms, the "versions" in about phone

Thanks guys, but it's not needed anymore. For some weird reason when I took out the SD Card, the phone turned blank. Removed the battery, placed the SD Card back and all settings were reset, but my apps were back. Really weird, but I'm glad they're back
@peshovec: I don't think it's a specific radio band, 'cause we just use the normal MHz here. But yes, it's localized indeed.
The only one that I can compare with is the Italian SBF. It has the same software number. But still, then there is no localization (I don't care that much 'cause English is also good for me, but when showing to friends...). But I dunno if it's further tweaked; I'm not a programmer
Hello.
When I bought my Lenovo S750 it was in chinese and it was full of
chinese apps and it was very disturbing.
I managed to setup it in English but still so much in chinese.
It was rooted so I used a app to delete many of these chinese apps.
But I must had been deleted someting in the os system because
when I restart my phone next time it only showed the Lenovo
startscreen and thats it.
I was trying to reset and install os my Lenovo S750 to Factory reset and a English language os
I tried many different os and everything.
But all these tutorials and advices did not work at all.
It become bricked.Totally bricked.
3 Days now I spent on this but I give up now I can not solve this by myself.
I look around internet and try many diferent ways to flash os and so on
but nothing.
I did not made any backup so I can not make a restore and
factory restore just give me same problem over and over.
Is there anybody who can help me to solve this problem.
I did forrnatting the phone completely (I mean absolute it is empty now)and I guess the only chance to
rescue this phone is if I can get a factory or custom os backup from somebodey who
have same phone and put it in my sd card and run a restore.
Or is there another solution?
Anybody have a backup I can copy??
Hi there! I have a Stock kitkat d80020y, made root with stumproot but without custom recovery, it's running stock right now.
First of all let me tell that I have in my computer nandroid backup of it (TWRP & CWM) made with OnlineNandroid and one LGBackup made with system restore menu.
Here's the trouble:
I am about to sell my phone so i was backing up some stuff yesterday when i realized it was not syncing contacts with google, after researching a bit I deleted the "com.android.providers.settings" folder which it was situated into "data\data" and rebooted device.
Then, sync problems gone but some another problems came up, couldn't get into some settings just as language, swipe down settings didn't work neither, home button didn't work at all, etc; when tried to use that things, phone just did nothing or stayed one second and got back to home screen. Read something that factory reset would definitely solve my issue, well it did solved it at a glance, home button was functional again but, things like language submenus were still not working.
So then, I try to install an LG Backup using the system app, could restore settings and appeared to be solved, but after another factory reset, remember I'm about to sell it, the whole issues came up again.
As I have nandroid backup I've recently checked the clockworkmod folder and find the deleted folder.
Considering that i could manage to get that LGBackup installed again, could it be possible to paste "com.android.providers.settings" back into "\data\data" folder then?
Should that be the definitely fix? Or I'll have to reflash all nandroid even though I don't wanna take that risk because is just those problems, apparently related to that specific deleted folder, the other things of the phone are intact and work great.
In case of need reflashing, could you tell me about any easy tutorial on how to do it, including custom recovery installation for my stumprooted device?
I don't actually know how to ADB any android device, if you could also help me with the right tutorial and drivers for this phone so i have everything ready just in case of needing CMD to fix this device it would be great.
Hope I get some answers soon so i can quickly fix the device, any ideas are welcomed and will be utterly appreciated.
Sorry for the long text but i wanted to be as clear as i could.
Regards!

any one ?
Thought this forum would of be a nice helpful one but it ain't, the solution for anyone else who's been looking for this solution is that just factory reset your phone if it's not rooted or else don't factory reset it.

We are volunteers here, this is not or jobs, we help vast amounts of users everyday, this forum has over 6 million users with 40,000= online at any given time, it is impossible to answer everyone in the time that they find convenient.
Glad you got it fixed yourself, but i will say this, if your launcher that you deleted was the stock launcher then you didn't delete it properly, if you had deleted it the proper way then factory resetting would not have fixed it because all factory reset does is delete all user installed data from the user partition and changes nothing about the system partition, if your stock launcher had truly been deleted then resetting would not have fixed you because truly deleting it would have meant it was no longer in the system partition which means that factory resetting would not have replaced the launcher because it would no longer have been in the system partition for it to be replaced.
If you mean factory resetting by flashing the original stock firmware then that is not called factory resetting, that is called restoring factory firmware, the two terms mean completely different things.

By factory resetting I actually meant factory reset cause my device wasn't rooted at first so that means I can't actually delete the launcher from system, and the thing is I accidentally removed one single theme of my stock launcher of Qmobile X35 so as lol it was my brother's and I wasn't into Qmobile that much I didn't knew what to do and he wasn't allowing me to fac/data restore so I thought there might be a way of getting that theme back without data reset, but seems like there wasn't so I had to tell him that he should backup his data I really need to restore, btw thanks for your answer and yea I know this is a big forum and lol I waited for lets say 3-4 days for an answer but w/e I was able to find the solution myself lol
The thing is actually I knew the solution, If rooted flash rom, If not rooted just fac/data reset but me coming here and asking for help was because I thought there might be someone out here with that single theme for which I wouldn't have to restore it
I just bought an Xperia 5 in China. As it didn't come with Google services, I didn't get the option to restore from my old phone. There doesn't seem to be an option to do that except during Setup. If I do a factory reset then I will lose Google again, so that won't work.
The only option I can think of is to install a custom rom, is that even possible with this model? If so, could someone please point me in the right direction, I'm a bit of a noob
Thank you
