Question Edge Touch Area - Google Pixel 6a

The Pixel Experience ROM I had on my Xiaomi A2 had a setting under gesture Edge Touch Area. This could adjust how far up the edge the back gesture was detected. Is there a way to enable this? Is it in any ROM?
I find it especially difficult to open the settings in YouTube in Fullscreen as touches in the corner are ignored

search "gesture" in settings, if you've it you'll find an option to adjust the area
GrapheneOS has it, stock probably has it.

AOSPMods has this feature.

[Q] Camera access from lock screen? - EDIT: solved

On my other devices (which run AOSP kitkat roms), I can access my camera with my pattern lock still enabled. All I do is swipe the pattern to the left, and the camera UI opens. It allows me to take new photos, and review them, but doesn't allow me to access any photos that were taken before the screen locked (i.e. it's not a backdoor to get past the lock and look at all my pictures). I always loved this functionality.
On my vzw M8, I cannot replicate this functionality. If I swipe in the same way, I just get a blank page where a widget can be added. Looking through the available widget options, I don't see anything for the camera. I even installed Google Camera just to see if that would make any difference, but no.
I know that the M8's gesture functionality allows something very similar (long-press vol-down while screen is off to launch directly into camera). I'd love to use this, but the gestures are all-or-none. Since I find the other gestures problematic (double-tap to wake, for example), I have all my gestures disabled.
So is there currently a way to replicate the AOSP locked-camera functionality on this device? Or do I simply have to wait for an AOSP rom?
For what it's worth, I'm running Skyfall 1.3
EDIT - story of my life... I figure something out just a few seconds after asking a question, even though I've been trying to figure it out for days.
Turns out I can swipe down (i.e. to hide the pattern lock), which causes the camera icon to appear at the lower-right corner. Then I just need to swipe up on that icon.
Nice work, Byron
Never mind. Didn't read your post close enough I guess. I see you know about the gestures.

Accessibility icon

Hello, how can I disable the accessibility icon in the button bar ?
Maybe it's impossible
Same issue here. I had it activated for something to do with FFBE on my other phone and it carried over to my OnePlus. Unfortunately, there is no option to disable or enable it, they've seemingly only added "triple tap to zoom" and hidden the icon zoom.

Click to collapse
Sorry to hear that...it's quite annoying for me because this button use the right place of the back button of my old OP3 !
I tried the navigation gestures ans it's no no no...
Cheers
Disable the android Accessibility suite. Search for it in your settings, disable the app and it should go away.

Getting the Backbutton to the right on Android Q

Is there a way to get the Backbutton to the right side under Android Q? Custom Navbar App dosnt work and the Tut from XDA about the ADB Comands either.
hi, I'd also like to know if there is a way to get it back on the right side.
I actually use the full gesture mode, but there is something that I would like to change :
When you open the keyboard, the button to close it is also on the left side, is there a way to get it on the right ?(probably something to do with the navbar position of the buttons)
Cheers
I've mostly adjusted to this new layout after coming from a Note 9, but I definitely miss the massive customization Sammy offered via the Good Lock app. Interested in hearing the recommended way to achieve a similar level of tweaking in vanilla Android.
I tried digging through the settings activities to see if it was in a hidden menu somewhere, but couldn't find anything. I did discover that if I freeze Pixel Launcher, I lose the System Navigation entry in the System > Gestures menu, and the app switch button stops working. Maybe the Pixel Launcher has some way of controlling the order of the buttons? Though, if it does, it's not in any of the settings.

Old OnePlus gestures ?

Hi
I really don't like the Google gestures on the OnePlus Nord : I don't like having to swipe from the side of the screen for "back", and I don't like the google assistant shortcut from the bottom of the screen.
Before buying the Nord, my daily driver was a OnePlus 6, and the OnePlus gestures were perfect !
Is there any way to get the old OnePlus gestures on the Nord ? (without root)
If not, is there any way to disable the "swipe from the bottom of the screen" to launch Google Assistant ? I already disabled Google Assistant, but the popup still shows if I swipe... There are older methods to disable the "swipe for assistant" on the internet, but it doesn't seem to apply here.
Thanks
up
Unfortunatly there is no way to change it without root.
i searched the whole internet for it ^^
A quick solution I ve been using...
Hey guys....just wanted to let you know...I ve used 6t and switched over to nord few weeks back...really loved that bottom nav which adapts to rotation....
To get rid of that stupid Google corner gestures and to have that OnePlus bottom nav gestures...I did the following
1.enable bottom navigation buttons
2.installed fluid navigation gestures (fng)
3.hid bottom buttons(use ADB code..just one line)
4.customised the fng to do exactly what OnePlus nav does.....u could even make it adapt to rotation...
5. And you can customize the bottom bubble to transparent and no haptics.
I know this is not a system built option but hey ...it's flawless and no root needed
Plus vanced youtube pip works without any issues
Hope this helps...

Ignore Notch in Apps?

So I've scoured the developer options on the phone and found a way to change the shape of the notch, but can't figure out a way to have apps go full screen. Anyone know a way to make this work?
You're in the wrong thread. 4a has a hole punch camera in the front. No notch to change the shape of or hide
Okay, apologize for the incorrect term usage here. I am using my 4a, in the Developer Options menu there is a sub-menu for "Display cutout" which is what I was able to change the "notch" as I called it. Is there a way to add to this list or to disable the display cutout in some apps?
