Hello xda-developers and thank you for reading this. I bought a new Nexus 5 today and flashed it with the original Google Lollipop ROM realeased some days ago. Everything runs fine so far but I can't get the service working. I've searched old threads to the best of my ability but couldn't find a solution, I hope you can. As said in the title I'm going with Vodafone Germany. Attached are some screenshots that hopefully give you all the information you need.

No problem here with Vodafone Germany on my Nexus 5 running Android 5.0. Maybe your Sim Card is defect? Do you have another phone to test the Sim.
I tested the sim today on another phone, it works fine. I am currently testing different modems... I was hoping to avoid unlocking my brand new phone for a while but hey

Shouldn't be necessary to install another modem. Maybe it is a hardware defect? Do you have another Sim to test the Sim tray? Was it working on 4.4 before you flashed Lollipop?

I didn't test it before I installed Lollipop. It could be a Hardware defect (But I'd find that odd, I ordered it online and it runs perfect aside from the cell signal) I will return it if I get fed up with the issue, but that would mean no phone for another 3-4 days
Why do you think a different modem won't make a difference? A different SIM card did get a signal in Nexus when I asked for help in a vodafone shop I was if I recall correctly. But my SIM card also worked in another phone
Edit: I tested another SIM card just now, it showed service for a while with an exclamation mark (see attachment) but then went back to 0 bars
Edit 2: Also not working on Android 4.4.4

I'm not a developer, have you tried changing the preferred network type to wcdma only or gsm only in the phone testing menu?

I already tried the LPX13D Modem (from the list of different modems for the Nexus 5 by autoprime on xdadev, can't link to it because I have less than 10 posts...). Is the one you linked any different?

The instruction is toooooooooooooo long!
Tested, ROM is oreo official. IMEI Lost on flash. I cant use modem. Recovery tool writes the IMEI correctly, tee red warning disapears, but no service available. Mtk engineer tools not working. Reverting to V40 & IMEI recovery ok. No brick risk. Data wipe on flash!! (Backup It!)

Tried it and I. The main problem he has is that it does not recognize the SIM.
I tried to fix it IMEI, but failed.
With a first look it seems stable.
If corrected it will be perfect.

On own terms. Thank you so much for providing this guide. Works like a charm for me vodafone card in slot 1. My telekom card in slot 2 doesn't have volte though. Is this only working for slot one in general, or is it my telekom card maybe?
Hello people, i've tried this methode with my Oneplus 6 on OOS 5.1.9 with the India Vodafone profile and its working great! Takes a little time to activate and seen in the pulldown menu but it's working perfectly. I'm on Vodafone The Netherlands.

For me it is working to enable it but when I am calling, volte sign doesn't appear. So it doesn't work at all in Czech T-Mobile provider. I hope later it will.

It did work for me on 5.1.9 with premiumsim. Did you use the pc application or did you just enable the switches on the phone?
Does work with dp3 too Btw.

I have a problem with the camera which does not work at all since Oos11 (all versions), it works with Oos10 when I downgrade.
A note was submitted by oneplus feedback to the dev team at the end of November but I have no news.
I disabled all apps that used the camera, install another photo app.
When launching Flashlight I have a message "in use by the camera" in the quick access bar.
I have no other idea for a test.
If necessary I've a oem_log.

Hello, and thank you for the response.
With all OxygenOs11 versions (betas and stable) : when I launch camera, or other photo applications , and flashlight appli., the screen stays black for a second or two and returns to the application drawer.
I tried in secure mode and removing all apps using the camera, same problem.
When I go back to OxygenOs 10 the problem goes away.

Ok, I think this may come from the OOS 11 kernel. When you updated your device, did you flashed the global version ? Because I have no issue with it whatsoever.
And what's the region codename of your phone ? (IN2010 = China, IN2013= UE, ...)
Model oneplus 8 IN2013 (Europe), bought in France.
I did global and / or incremental, with beta 1,2,3,4,5 and the two stable. Global update is mandatory to go back from beta to stable, and multiple times with wipe everything.
I do not understand that the downgrade to Os 10 fixes the problem.
I have only this problem but very important.

Very weird, I don't think we're gonna be able to sort this out by ourselves.
And how does reverting to Android 10 helps fixing this? Well this is my theory, but I think the kernel is broken in A11 and that A10's one isn't.
It's really bothering, so maybe reverting to A10 and wait for the OP response. Maybe contacting their ASS would speed up the process. (ASS=After Sale Service, yea I'm trying to be funny sry about that)

Yup, it has french, I use it in France and had no problem with it so far. But with 4G (which I almost never use), maybe you'll experience slowness, or a lack of signal, because the Chinese version hasn't all the french bands
So the model for Europe is IN2023 not 2013 hopefully it doesn't say 2013 in about phone as that may be the problem lol.
If not then it would appear that permission and or a critical part of the OS is absent or corrupt.
If you haven't already then factory wipe your phone.
Are you rooted? If so what mods do you have?
Whilst you're on Android 11 I'd recommend flashing a clean OS using the MSM tool, this will lock your bootloader again but that's an easy fix.
From that point there is absolutely no reason why your camera shouldn't begin to work.
If that fails then yes call support.
One last thing, did the box you got your phone in state in2023 or something else. If it's been rebranded then you have your fault.

I have oneplus 9 with 2115. Definitely not the mobile version. but it was made for us. so it only reads one sim. how can i read dual sim? Is there anyone who can help with this? I need to make this device dual sim card

I have the same and i know when it happens. Did this happen when you formatted your phone when you first upgraded to A13? This is what it looks like for me, I thought that now the last update fixes it, but I was wrong. This thesis has been waiting for a solution for about two months.
It's been like this since the first day I bought the phone, I think there is a restriction, there must be a restriction like t mobile, it can be solved with software, but unfortunately I don't know the solution to the problem.
