[SM-G970F] Installing pixel experience via TWRP - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

I've done everything from installing TWRP and flashing the latest pixel experience from their site plus the other method as well (Heimdall and adb sideload, as suggested on their site). It doesn't seem to load past the "Samsung Galaxy S10e" screen. I've also searched other threads here and on yt, none have the same issue. Thanks in advance!

[Q] Help with flashing to Motorola XT500 (in China)

First off, I apologize for not posting this in a hardware-specific thread; it seems that one doesn't exist for my particular model phone.
I recently purchased a Motorola XT500 retail in China. I already knew that the Google apps would for the most part be entirely missing (except for Maps), but I wasn't aware of how difficult it would be to locate and flash a custom rom for it.
I have one-click rooted the phone, and installed Rom Manager. Unfortunately, I cannot install Clockworkmod Recovery through Rom Manager, so I attempted to flash it using both adb shell via PC and using terminal emulator via the phone--no dice. I was able to push "flash_image" to the system/bin, and that was enough to flash Clockworkmod, but when I went into reboot recovery, it rebooted to stock recovery and not Clockworkmod recovery.
In light of this, I tried installing "update.img" through reboot recovery (I had downloaded a motorola opensource update), but it cannot verify electronic signature.
Prior to posting here, I have researched independently for several days, and I'm not sure what else I can try. Also, it seems this issue is exacerbated by the fact that there is very little discussion happening on the Motorola XT500 (except for on some Chinese forums, and they are doing little more than I am; i.e. bickering).
If anybody has any ideas, or would like some more specific details regarding the processes I've attempted, I would be very grateful for your time. I find it very frustrating that I don't have access to some of the core features that distinguish the Android platform, and this problem has become like an itch I can't scratch.
Thanks in advance to all.

[Q] Samsung GS3 I9300 softbricked after CWM install

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section or if this has already been asked and answered somewhere before (i did search beforehand, but didn't find anything related to my spesific problem)
I'll take you through step-by-step what I did and what went wrong:
I decided to root my Galaxy S3 (I9300 international model) and install CM10 on it. I followed this guide on cnet on how to root it, and then I followed a guide on droidforums
Underway I noticed that the bootloader unlocker was made for the verizon GS3 but I tried it and it worked anyway. Also the Clockwork mod linked to in the latter guide is for the verizon GS3, but I managed to find and download one for my spesific device.
Anyway, I rooted my device and ulocked the bootloader, and used odin to flash clockwork mod over to my device, and this is when it went wrong. Odin gave me the green "pass" message, and my phone rebooted. But it just got stuck at the "samsung GT-I9300" screen, and wouldn't boot into the stock OS which was still installed. But CWM was there and working. I then tried to install one of the custom roms linked to in the guide. The first one i tried would, for some reason, not install. The other installed successfully according to CWM, but my phone still wouldn't boot past the samsung i9300-logo.I tried several different OS's with no luck, until I finally managed to unbrick my phone by flashing a .PIT file and the stock OS.
So yeah, I managed to fix my device, it's not up and running like it used to, but I'm back at square one and I don't understand what went wrong. Could it have been the bootloader unlocker that wasn't meant for my device?
I'm not very experienced in this area so I would really appreciate any help so that I can try it again and succeed!
Thanks in advance

oneplus one bootloop, many searches, no solution

I still have bootloop issue on my oneplus one, running on Cyanogen.
First, I know nothing about developping, I have been self teaching myself over the past 2 days to solve this frustrating bootlopp issue on my oneplus one.
2 days ago I didn't know what was TWRP and adb and fastboot, I have downloaded Android SDK for developpers, Java plateform in between because it was (uselessly) needed, I have flashed images (TWRP), not knowing what flashing was about and not knowing TWRP, randomly following up scattered (and uncomplete) tutorials of forumers writing mysterious and random terms of totally unknown notions for me as a normal user.
This been written, please be clear in your answers, honestly please, maybe some readers may understand how frustrating it can be to read so called tutorials in vocabulary that only developpers can get.
So here what I did so far
1) flash TWRP with fastboot
2) Then I tried entering "make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p15". Many posts refer to this as the ultimate solution. (I cannot post link since I am new forumer)
a) First from command, shift+right click in my "adb" folder:
"adb shell" + "make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p15"
Didn't work
b)Then I retried in TWRP directly on my phone, going in Advanced>Terminal Command>Select, then type: make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p15
Didin't work
3) update the system
Also, I have an update available in my android system, hoping that it could solve the bootloop. When I update, it reboots and goes to TWRP boot mode, is that normal ? If yes what am I suppose to do ? Can an update system actually solve this bootloop issue ?
So far it doesn't solve my bootlopp issue.
What do you think ? What else can we do ?
Have you tried installing (flashing) custom firmware? Go to Cyanogenmod.org, or google "Cyanogenmod 12.1 for oneplusone download", look around, download the custom firmware (Rom) should be a .zip file, move it to your phone, then install it. I can help you more if you need.

Hey, thanks for your answer. I ll try later this week and I ll keep you informed.
Just one detail: when flashing cyanogen 12.1, does it mean I completely wipe out my phone to reinstall the rom? (As far as I understand it's like formating a computer and reinstalling window )
there after an cyanigen update. I tried and wiped out my data and so far It works. Very simple, no more than 5min (I spent hours on this problem up to now)
For other readers try this.
If not well try MeowDude advice.
Special note : it looks like update doesn't work though, when it reboots I end up on TWRP and get a message at the end of the update "file md5 not found ". A future problem oncoming? Hope not
So far everything works anyway.
And thanks to MeiwDude

Google Pixel 2 - Factory Rom won't flash

I used the Tool all in one, to flash the factory ROM on my google pixel 2.
However i got an error message towards the end of the flash saying cannot extract "vendor.img"
I've tried loading multiple stock ROM's , both carrier specific and non-carrier specific and i get the same error message.
I tried using adb fast boot method also, and was not successful either.
What else should I be trying?
Thanks in advance.:good:

You should be trying to go to the Google pixel 2 forum and ask this question. This is the Google pixel 1 forum.

Completely messed up rooting my S7 Edge with a custom ROM

So, I wanted to root my device in order to modify games, but haven't ever encountered Custom URL's before, so I decided to watch a YouTube tutorial, not realising that it was several months out of date.
So, the tutorial took me to Odin, and a custom ROM, which I then *tried* to install. Damned thing wiped my device with a "Verification failed" message. So the next morning, I reset my device as I couldn't find a way around it, I then tried to install Majisk v16.0 using TWRP. Though this seemed way easier than installing the custom ROM, I have had a lot of trouble with the installation of the .zip file, due to my earlier failures with the custom ROM.
TWRP keeps giving me the error:
! Boot image patched by other programs!
! please restore stock boot image
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file ' /sdcard/Magisk-v16.0.zip '
Other XDA threads have pointed me in the direction of a stock boot.img file, but I cannot seem to find one for my device (Since most of the threads with this problem are over a year old, and many updates have occurred since then).
Anyway, I am looking for either a link to an updated boot image, or a possible solution to this problem.
Thanks in advance.

I kinda did the same thing with my S7 edge before. I believe you havent turned on OEM unlock so you got the error while flashing with Odin. Now i have installed GALAXY 8.0 rom on my s7. It comes rooted, with magisk, custom kernel. Everything you set up in aroma.
As for twrp part i used this https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7...overy-official-twrp-hero2lte-3-0-0-0-t3334084
After installing twrp, flash rom with it. Hope that helps.

This is the link I got myself a boot.img
Used it on 935F, also im not responsible if you mess up your device even more but it worked for me.
BTW its worth mentioning my s7e using exynos
Cheers for this, this seems way more logical than what I have been trying to do. I will try this now.
Thanks
