ReVanced & ReVanced Extended
(Apks, Guides & Useful Links)
This thread is "Unofficial"
ReVanced is the successor of the legacy Vanced app. It's a tool which can build a modded version of YouTube with AdBlock+SponsorBlock and has almost all the Premium YouTube features plus more.
Here you can find useful infos, guides & links about ReVanced & Revanced Extended.Differences between ReVanced and ReVanced Extended
ReVanced Extended is basically a fork by inotia00 of ReVanced with some patches/features more and most of the time it's based on more recent youtube version.
inotia00 is also a contributor of the ReVanced project, so he can help make it better. He also maintain a newest version of Vanced microG, also fork from ReVanced Team (but revanced team did not released it yet - read this).

You can find the recommmended version of each supported app in the GitHub.
How to Update (Backup & Restore ReVanced Manager Keystore)
ReVanced Manager using a keystore file to sign the apk, if you erased all data of the manager the keystore would be deleted too, so you need to remove the old revanced apk to update.
What if there is a way to backup the keystore? It turns out, you CAN, check out below:
Check here how to backup and restore ReVanced Manager Keystore file via adb, so you will be able update your app even if you erased all data of ReVanced Manager.
You can also do it and copy-paste via File Manager > Android > data > app.revanced.manager.flutter > files > revanced-manager.keystore.

A: Check here and here.
Q: When I open ReVanced there is an empty black/white screen, what can I do?
A:
Go to Device Setttings > Apps
Find and Uninstall everything related to Vanced/ReVanced such as Vanced MicroG / Vanced / ReVanced etc.
Rebuilt with the latest patches/versions or Download and install the latest versions for Vanced MicroG & ReVanced or ReVanced Extended from the post #2.

Check again.
If doesn't work, try this.
Q: While I login with my account I get the message "please check your network connection".
Login to revanced via microg.
Check again.
Q: I have buffering/playback issues, what can I do?
A: In ReVanced Manager, for ReVanced include the patch "spoof-signature-verification" and for ReVanced Extended the patch "protobuf-spoof".
After installing the app in ReVanced you can find the toogle Enable spoof signature patch at Misc settings and in ReVanced Extended the protobuf-spoof patch at Miscellaneous settings too. If you are using my ready apks update to the latest version of ReVanced or ReVanced Extended which I include these patches (but you need to enable them manually). Should be fixed, check here and here.
If doesn't work try this.
Q: I have Huawei device and ReVanced force close after 1min, what can I do?
A: Check this.
Q: I have history in search which I didn't search for any of these, also I have search history off. Any reason why this is happening? It won't show the actual search I do, these are just random things or trending things I guess?
A: Check here. Extended has added a patch "hide search terms" which can be enabled in Extended Settings > General > Hide search term suggestion.
Q: How to set ReVanced as default app for youtube links?
A: Go to App info > Set as default > Open supported links, "On" > Supported web addresses > Turn them all "On".
For general devices check this. If you are using MIUI and you have trouble to set it as default app for youtube links, check this. If you still have issues check this and this.
Q: I've set ReVanced to open youtube links but videos open minimized with a glitch.
A: You need to be logged in to ReVanced to open the YouTube links normally when you set it as default youtube app. You can read more about the issue I had here (in the Official Discord of ReVanced). This is also happening in Official YouTube so it's not a bug of ReVanced or Extended. If you don't wanna use your personal Gmail to connect to ReVanced via microG then just create a new one and use it only for it.
Q: I have History/Search issues what to do?
A: Check your dns or ad-blocker and whitelist the following domains: "s.youtube.com", "video-stats.l.google.com" and "video-stats.video.google.com." If you use VPN try to turn it off.
Q: How can I display the "Create"/"Upload" button?
A: Check here.
Q: How to change the Seekbar color/customized in ReVanced?
A: You need to have Theme patch applied. Then go ReVanced Settings > Layout > scroll down to Seekbar settings > Seekbar color > set a custom color of your preference (hex code) > I use #c4302b
Q: How can I update ReVanced?
A: Check this.
Q: How can I backup my ReVanced Settings?
A: Currently on ReVanced is not possible to do that. On ReVanced Extended there is an option to Import/Export the settings which can be found at Miscellenous settings.
If you are using my ready apks or you are using ReVanced Manager with the same keystore you patched before, you can just use the new apk over the current you have installed and it will update without losing your settings. Read more about how to update your app without losing your settings here.
Q: What is QUIC protocol setting in ReVanced Extended?
A: Check here. You can enable this option at Miscellanous settings.
Q: What is VP9 Codec in ReVanced Extended and should I enable it?
A: Check here. You can enable this option at Miscellanous settings.
Q: What is "change homepage" patch in ReVanced Extended?
A: When you start the app, the main feed becomes the subscription feed instead of the home feed. Check here.
Q: Retrial are you member of the Revanced/inotia00 Team and are your apks clean and legit?
A: I am not a member of ReVanced Team or inotia00 team. All credits goes to them for their amazing work. My apks are clean and legit, read this.

Initial Release

Useful

For root users microg is not needed
(Needed Only when rom does not come with gms by default)
For root or non root,
user's should download nodpi varient of YouTube as revanced manager currently cannot patch dpi version.
For official revanced
user's should not select debug patch as it may lead to performance degradation.
For revanced extended,
developer recommends selecting all patches and configuring yt app per user requirement.
Root users would need detach magisk module to prevent YouTube update from playstore.
Revanced manager has an option to export log and patched YouTube option available.
User's should use them...
logs for communicating any errors
Patched app for reinstallation if required

I'm a OnePlus 6T, I tried root and non root separately, both failed

Which version you trying to install Official ReVanced or Extended? Non root/root?
Are you sure u used the Recommended Official YouTube version? 17.43.36 or 17.45.36 for ReVanced and 17.45.36 for ReVanced Extended? @q1pa I see 17.46.37 in your screenshot, that's why I ask.
Really strage since it's working fine for most people.

Thanks, I re-followed the steps on Github once and it has worked (https://github.com/inotia00/revanced-documentation/wiki/Method-3.-Using-official-ReVanced-Manager-( Android)).
It may be that one of the
0. If you are going to install in ROOT environment, please follow these methods
Remove all YouTube related modules
Delete the directory. /data/adb/service.d, /data/adb/post-fs-data.d, /data/adb/revanced
Rebooting the device
This played a key role, I'm using version 17.45.36

I have added as optional step, But I am pretty sure not gonna hurt even if root users install Vanced microG.

I don't have any issue even if I deselected some patches. I will leave it like that, if any user face an issue, I will add it as note.

What's the point of that step? ReVanced isn't using different packange name anyway? Anyway, I've included this near patches as recommended documentation to read.

The only point to install MicroG is to be able to sign into ReVanced on an unrooted device. If you're rooted Google Play Services will ensure that. MicroG is always active (like it's google pendant) and therefore using battery. So I recommend: If you're rooted don't install it.

On rooted devices ReVanced may replace the original YT (if you don't use a different package name). In that case playstore will try to update it. The mindetach module will prevent that:

Simpler and better Magisk module to detach apps from Play Store - GitHub - j-hc/mindetach-magisk: Simpler and better Magisk module to detach apps from Play Store

At first, it did not work for me, too. I also received the errors, other users mentioned.
But then I saw your post was from saturday. There is a new Revanced Manager Version (0.43) since today. So I have installed the older version 0.42, which works absolutely fine.

Just saw the new release 0.43. I will take a look tomorrow see if any changes needed. Btw u used 17.43.36 version or 17.45.36 with 0.43 manager?
Thanks.
Edit: I just the saw the announcement from Official ReVanced. So the issue is indeed with 0.43. Workaround to use 0.42 as you mentioned.
I've edited the OP to mention 0.42 version.
Thanks again.

I leave microG as optional step for root users if they use devices/roms which does not have gsm.

Hey does it matter if I still have Vanced Youtube installed? I also have MicroG from before as well? I keep getting aborting errors. :/

Vanced is a well-known modded version of the YouTube app with many features such as ad-blocking and background playback. Vanced also offers some extra features to enhance the user experience. The entire list is available below:

Background playback feature
Force VP9(or HDR) or vice versa
Override Max Resolution
Casting togglable (can be forced off)
Togglable Theme (White/Dark or White/Black)
Picture-in-Picture mode(PIP) (Android 8.0+)
Video window new or old style
Repeat video feature
Preferred Resolution & Speed feature
Swipe controls for Volume and Brightness
Sponsorblock integration

Tap to seek feature
Copy video link + with timestamps feature
New Logo by @Logan
[Optional] Detach YouTube from play store for Root users
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:Since YouTube v14.41.52, Google has moved to split APKs format. The Android package installer doesn't support Split apks yet, so we are now using Vanced manager for installing all vanced apps. The steps to use the vanced manager are below:Especially for MIUI, there's a separate guide that can be accessed using this link. For all other devices, please follow below:
For Non-Root:
Install Vanced Manager
Open Vanced Manager and tap the blue arrow in the lower right corner.
Begin installing Vanced microG. (Without which you won't be able to install Vanced (or Music Vanced) or use login)
Then install Vanced (or Music Vanced), log in to your account and enjoy!
For Root:
Install Vanced Manager
Open Vanced manager and tap on the "Magisk" icon to grant root permissions.
Once you are in, begin installing Vanced (or Music Vanced).
Important information:
We replaced our root installation with vanced manager, which directly mounts vanced on top of Youtube in the /data/app directory, making it easier and faster than before.
Vanced will not block ads while casting since when you use the casting feature, it doesn't send the video from your phone to the Chromecast/TV. Instead, your phone acts like a remote controller for the youtube app in your Chromecast/TV. That is why the advertisement is displayed.
Purchasing items in the non-root version of the app will not work as microG doesn't support it. Hence, it is preferable to use the original YouTube app or using the web version for any purchase.
If your videos are lagging or the application starts to crash while watching live videos, please enable VP9 codec from codec override present under vanced settings. Google forced the ExoPlayer v2, which is highly experimental and unstable on unsupported devices.
YouTube has dropped support for Android 5 (Lollipop) with v17.xx.xx. Hence, the minimum supported version is now Android 6 and above.
Known bugs:
Swipe down gesture for refreshing home feed breaks randomly. It's an issue with litho that only Google can fix. There's nothing we can do to fix it. (Tap here to learn more)
As of v16.16.38, casting won't work due to an upstream microG bug. (Tap here to learn more)
On portrait/vertical videos, preferred quality options do not work.
Swipe controls triggers when swiping either upwards or downwards to scroll through description or in live chat when in landscape mode.
On new action bar layouts(server-sided feature), the new toggles won't work.
Info cards toggle is broken (Temp fix: Disable it through your Google account settings. This setting disables info cards everywhere.)
App crashes with java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError while playing some video outside of vanced.
Manual codec override is broken and very experimental.
Some users might face geographical ads on YouTube Shorts tab.
SponsorBlock segments at the end of videos in playlists causes playback on the next video to start where the previous one ended.

BUG Reports:
Steps to do before reporting a bug:
Do a search and see if it has already been reported
Check that the bug is actually a Vanced bug and doesn't happen in the original YouTube.
Steps to do when reporting a bug:
Make sure you are being enough descriptive of the problem.
Take a logcat (Google search if you don't know how). Especially if the issue is a crash.
Taking pictures of the problem doesn't hurt.
If the report is vague (missing information), it will most likely just be ignored. If you are not going to show any effort in resolving the problem, why should I?
Bug report template:
Vanced exact version number (Do NOT say latest).
Download link used to download Vanced.
Installation method (whether user SAI or Vanced Manager)
Device.
ROM (optional may not help).
Any applied Substratum/swift overlays.
Logs if there are any crashes/force closes (upload to Pastebin or hastebin or katbin) and paste the link of it with your report. [Check here to know how to get logs]
A brief description of the issue
Any installed mods to the system.

Good job guys!
Non-root FAQ:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79661381&postcount=10743
Microphone permission not found:
If you're wondering why there is no microphone permission in the root version of Vanced, that's because the APK used to modify Vanced (minAPI17) is missing the microphone permission. The other APK has it (minAPI21) but that lacks the translation. Why? Ask Google ?*
Workaround: use the non-root variant, or stock YouTube
App not appearing in app drawer:
If YT Vanced app is not visible in your app drawer, follow these steps:
• Install regular YouTube app from the Google Play Store
• Open the app until your front page shows up (not sure if this is necessary. Just reconstructing what's been working for others all the time).
• Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube. It should show "Uninstall" on the top left. DO NOT Uninstall! Just see if it says that there!
• Reboot
• Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube. Now it should say "Disable" or "Deactivate". DO NOT Uninstall! Just see if it says that there!
• In the same menu; tap on the three dot menu button on the upper right corner and tap on "Remove/Uninstall Updates".
Now the YT Vanced app should show in your launcher.

Try making sure system is checked under mount in TWRP. If that's already I checked I found rebooting to recovery over and over till it isn't all correctly also works. I think it's just some kind of bug with TWRP.

When I tried flash it few days ago, twrp showed me "apk file doesn't exist". Check how mb has this zip. You should install it via magisk or create in system/app, "YouTube" folder and give it 755 permissions. Next move YouTube.apk file to this folder and give it 644 permissions. Last step is reboot.

Do you have the APK in internal storage? Probably should put the zip there too?
Did you unzip and rezip by any chance?
Thanks! Installed magisk module black, but apparently it's white.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL]LineageOS15.1+MICROG

UNOFFICIAL LineageOS fork with built-in microG gapps implementation.LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
While the core operating system is still released as part of the Android Open Source Project, the majority of core apps are not. It gets worse: More and more libraries and APIs are only available on phones that run various Google apps pre-installed, effectively locking third-party apps to the Google ecosystem. Several popular open-source applications already require some of Google’s proprietary libraries to be installed. Increasing demand in the free software community in addition to severe problems in Google’s proprietary software discovered by the Android modding community, have led to the development of a free software clone of Google’s proprietary core libraries and applications - the microG Project was born.
This image uses the restricted microG patch meaning only system packages embedded in the build can use FAKE_SIGNATURE permission.
I have also replaced the default chromium system webview with the bromite system webview (20190519 build) which includes extra ad-blocking and privacy patches on top of chromium.

Known Bugs:
Phone is not detected by adb while booted in recovery mode (TWRP). I don't know if that's a bug in TWRP or on my laptop's USB drivers. If the phone has an OS installed (checked on various ROM's) (ie booted in system mode) it is detected, but not when in it is booted in recovery mode and running the latest TWRP. Place the image in an sdcard, put it in the phone and install it from there as a workaround. (Adb sideload can also work.)
Battery consumption appears to have improved on later builds, probably because of this change.
Instructions:
Download and install the latest twrp - dl-link (Steps on how to do it not covered here.)

DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Hey there, I'm guessing that he wants a log of someone who has already installed the system, to find out whether he wants to install it or not.
I'm going to flash it today and maybe post a log from a clean install, if it is helpful to anyone.
Btw thank you lolalum for the build and the instructions!
It's awesome that there's still someone left, who's trying to save us from google
Thank you for your answers, the installation is very good, what I need is the installation of "play store". Thanks for the Rom.
Sure, no problem.
Ok, now I understand: I guess you didn't know that you can't install the Playstore with microG.
The reason is, that it has been replaced by the "Fakestore" (you can find it in Settings>Apps*show system processes) It is just a fake or a placeholder to make apps "think" there is an official Playstore, when there really isn't one. So even if you tried to install it, (through Xda Labs for example) it would only be seen as an update of the Fakestore, and wouldn't work.
You can still get every app in the Playstore though, with "Aurora Store" or "Yalp Store". They both allow you to log in to your Google account and to buy apps and items. If that isn't needed "apkmirror.com" works as well.
Thank you

Glad I could help, but there is a "thank you button" for this
I've been using this rom for the past 2 days, and it worked ok, but I had issues with some calls with root and vibration settings and pretty much every time I tried to reboot to recovery the phone didn't respond at all until I removed the battery. (going to switch over to AospExtended rom now, because it supports microg as well.)
New build
New Build:
lineage-15.1-20190204-CUSTOM_LINEAGE_MICROG-s5neoltexx.zip - lineage-15.1-20190204-CUSTOM_LINEAGE_MICROG-s5neoltexx.zip.md5sum
Changelog:
Added custom microG apks built with PRs that allow to pass SafetyNet check.
Added Gsam Battery monitor and Matlog libre as system apps. They require permissions that need to be given by adb or root, it's easier to use their functionality if they are built in.
New Build:
lineage-15.1-20190214-CUSTOM_LINEAGE_MICROG-s5neoltexx.zip - lineage-15.1-20190214-CUSTOM_LINEAGE_MICROG-s5neoltexx.zip.md5sum
Changelog:
Updated microg apk from Nanodroid. (If Nandodroid releases newer versions before I release a new image you can download them from his repository and install them since I am using the pre-built apks signed by him instead of building them from source.)
Rebuilt so soon to include the lastest 5 Feb 2019 security update that patches a critical security vulnerability in Framework that could allow a remote attacker using a specially crafted PNG file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.

Replaced android's chromium system webview with the bromite system webview. Bromite is Chromium plus ad blocking and privacy enhancements.
Installation Instructions:
Because this build is built from a slightly different source than the previous ones and the default system webview was changed, I suggest a clean install wiping data, cache, dalvik and system.
Known Issues
- Nanolx and Bromite repositories are not added in Fdroid repositories by default as intended. They need to be added manually after installation. After you do so, ignoring updates for the Play store package is recommended if you don't plan to use it. The fakestore package included by default is only intended to be there for apps that want it to be there in order to function. Nanolx's playstore app allows in-app purchaces and other functionality which may or may not work properly - I 've never tested it not intend to do so.

Package Installer not function properly - Android 10

I just updated to android 10 on my oneplus 6 via local storage. Then fastboot installed twrp, flashed stock boot img, flashed twrp installer zip, rebooted to twrp & then installed magisk 20.1 including riru v15 & edxposed by justin (sandhook) for android Q.
The problem I am facing is that I am not able to install apks as whenever I manually try to install an apk, it says 'Sorry, no application available'
Please help out!
Apologies for bumping the thread but can someone help me out with the package installer details?
The path it is stored in the /system/ directory and share the apk? If I somehow could replace it as a system application and make it run?
Hello there, I'm facing the same problem with Android 10 and LineageOS 17.1.
I can install apk's via F-Droid and Aurora Store, I would assume Play Store works too, but I currently don't have it.
When I download an apk with a browser and I click on the notification in the notification drawer, it works and installs the app.
But when I try to open the finished download via the downloader manager, it does not work. The error is the same as posted by the OP (Sorry, no application available)
I also can not open apk's from non-default file explorers (Root Explorer, ES File Explorer) which gives the same error, but opening from built-in Files (com.android.documentsui) works.
The Package Manager is correctly located in
Code:
/system/priv-app/PackageInstaller/PackageInstaller.apk
I've tried the suggestions from a very old thread here on XDA:
- Delete Cache and Data for Package Manager
- Reset all app preferences
- Reboot to TWRP and clean Dalvik/Cache
- Disable all apps that can draw over other apps
But that didn't fix it unfortunately. Any ideas would be welcome.

Installation Instructions
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE SOLELY YOURSELF FOR ANY ACTIONS YOU DO WITH YOUR DEVICE !!!
Please note - I won't explain any single aspect (e.g. how to install 'fastboot' on your PC or troubleshoot USB connectivity issues under Windows). Search the net and consult the search engine of your choice or look here in XDA, there is plenty of information available.
Pre-Requisites
If you come from OxygenOS Stock ROM, make sure to update to the latest offered software version (if not, no issue).
Have fastboot and adb installed on your PC and make sure, you can connect via USB to your device in fastboot mode and via adb
An unlocked bootloader (see e.g. LineageOS install instructions)
OxygenOS 9.0.6 firmware, which is needed for LineageOS 17.1 - see next section
Download the most current .ZIP file of the ROM and place it to your phone's internal memory
OxygenOS 9.0.6 Firmware
If you come from my LineageOS 16.0 build - or any Android 9 or 10 based ROM, you most probably have already the proper firmware.
And yes, LineageOS 17.1 is Android 10, but the latest firmware for this device has been published by Oneplus for Android 9.
How to find out about your current firmware, if you use a Custom ROM:
Connect as root via adb to your phone and enter the command adb shell cat /system/vendor/firmware_mnt/verinfo | grep Time_Stamp
If the result is "Time_Stamp": "2019-11-04 21:25:29", you are on the latest firmware, if the date/time is earlier, you need to update the firmware. THIS THREAD has got more information for you.
If you come from an Oreo (Android 8.x) Custom ROM, READ THE OP OF THIS THREAD CAREFULLY !
I can't explain it better and I am not going to repeat or summarize this. It really is in your interest to carefully read it - you have been notified and warned. Please also pay attention to the last section named "Alipay, WeChatpay, Soter and IFAA" - I strongly recommend to use the debloated firmware.
Install TWRP recovery
If you come from stock ROM and have just unlocked your boot loader, this is the next thing to do. I recommend to use the TWRP recovery for the OnePlus 3/3T. The following instructions are based on TWRP.
To install TWRP, download the twrp-x.x.x-x-oneplus3.img file (Note: replace "x.x.x-x" in the following instructions with the respective values from the real file name) to your PC, connect the phone via USB to your PC, get it into 'fastboot mode' and enter the following command on your PC:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-x.x.x-x-oneplus3.img
Afterwards, directly boot into 'recovery mode' (enter fastboot reboot on your PC and hold Power and vol.down) - DO NOT boot into the phone's Android system after having flashed TWRP! Once TWRP has been launched, you may decide to reboot your phone and install the ROM at any time later. But the first boot after flashing TWRP must be TWRP in recovery mode.
Advanced Wipe
ONLY perform the steps described here, if you come from Stock ROM or a different Custom ROM!
Boot into recovery mode. In TWRP, choose "Wipe", "Advanced" and specify "Dalvik", "System", "Cache" and "Data" to be wiped. Make sure NOT to wipe "Internal memory". Swipe to confirm the deletion and get back into the main menu.
DO NOT flash Gapps!
This ROM comes with pre-installed microG. So don't attempt to flash Gapps.
Install ROM
In the TWRP main menu, choose "Install". A file manager appears to let you navigate to your internal memory (path /sdcard). Choose the .ZIP file of our ROM and swipe to flash.
If you update from a previous version of my ROM, including my LineageOS 16.0 build, you don't need to perform a wipe. If you come from a different ROM (or stock firmware), make sure that you have performed the Wipe steps above.
When finished flashing, return to the main menu, choose "Reboot" and then "System", which will cause your phone to boot into Lineage OS 17.1 - be patient, the first boot after flashing a new ROM takes quite long!
Dealing with signed builds
Please note, that this builds is signed with an own key. When you come from a different build, you cannot directly "dirty-flash" this build. You have to perform a "clean flash" (recommended), or - you do this on your own risk - you may try the below steps.
This happens at your own risk - make a backup with TWRP before!
Download and extract the file migration.sh from this archive
This file helps you to migrate from a build signed with the publicly available test keys (i.e. all builds around, which do not state that they are signed). If you come from another signed build (e.g. official LineageOS), you have to adapt the file accordingly (see below links).
boot into TWRP
push the migration.sh file to the directory /data/local on your device and mount the /system partition in TWRP (you can do so using the dedicated TWRP's menu entry)
launch the built-in terminal in TWRP, cd into /data/local, make migration.sh executable (chmod +x) and execute the command ./migration.sh official
(In case you receive an error, try sh ./migration.sh official instead)
flash the ROM .zip
wipe Cache and Dalvik/ART Cache
reboot system
More background information and the "theory behind" can be found in the LineageOS wiki and AOSP reference.
Bug reports:
If you have a problem, please create a post with these informations:
Original Kernel shipped with this rom:
Build Date:
And try to get log as described here
Please note that I can't and won't support issues with builds using a different kernel or Xposed.
In regards to microG, I will try my best to help when it is related to this ROM (I use it myself), but any questions of the type "the YXZ-app can't do <some sort of fancy xyz Google functionality> properly" are better asked in the respective microG forums.

Constified JNI method tables and hardened bionic lib
Security Hardening Features - Details
1. Pre-installed microG and F-Droid
same as the LineageOS for microG project
2. Pre-installed AuroraStore
works w/o having to enable the "unknown sources feature"
3. Extra control of sensor access for additionally installed user apps
Special access under app permissions
4. Cloudflare (instead of Google) default DNS
Cloudflare DNS has a better privacy policy than Google Public DNS and has DNS-over-TLS and DNS-over-HTTPS. In the deafult DNS settings (as fallback) and network diagnostics, the Cloudflare DNS adresses 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 are specified as defaults (instead of Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)
5. Privacy-preferred default settings
When newly installed, the below settings are defaulted, different from standard LineageOS 17.1 (all settings can be changed at any time later):
Anonymous LineageOS statistics disabled (proposal during Setup)
The standard browsing app does not get the location runtime permission automatically assigned
Sensitive information is hidden on the lock screen
Camera app: Location tagging disabled by default
Further, when a lock screen protection is set (PIN, pattern, password), the Nfc, Hotspot and airplane mode tiles require authentication and cannot be set without
6. Optional blocking of Facebook- and Google-Tracking
Settings => Network & Internet (scroll down)
When activated, all outgoing connection attempts to Facebook servers will be suppressed.
Same applies to Google, but certain apps on an internal exception list will still be able to connect (AuroraStore, microG, or e.g. NewPipe, if installed)
7. Optional disable captive portal detection and to select Captive portal server URL provider
Settings => Network & Internet (scroll down)
When deactivated, the system will not ping a specific Google server any longer when establishing a WiFi connection to determine, whether a captive portal is being used. Further, the captive portal URL provider can be set (default is GrapheneOS and not Google; Settings - Network & Internet)
8. No submission of IMSI or phone number to Google when GPS is in use
GPS also works fine, if no SIM card is present, so there obviously is no benefit for the phone holder (different from other involved parties ) to provide this data . . .
9. Default hosts file with many blocked ad/tracking sites
The system's hosts file redirects a comprehensive list of URLs known to be adware, tracking, etc. to 127.0.0.1 (ipv4) and ::1 (ipv6)
10. Privacy-enhanced Bromite SystemWebView
Instead of the default Chromium System Webview component, the Bromite SystemWebView is used offering more privacy, more ad blocking and less Google tracking.
11. Bromite as shipped Browser
A chromium based browser with many privacy features.
12. Firewall UI
Settings => Privacy - Firewall
Lists all apps and allows to restrict Internet access per app in regards to WiFi, mobile network or VPN
This per-app feature is a standard feature in LineageOS, but the UI to show all apps is an Extra (taken from a topic in LineageOS's Gerrit - it may, or may not, become part of the official LineageOS one day)
13. Maximum password length increased to 64
Thanks a lot!! Will flash and report tomorrow!!

Installed this ROM today, clean.
My observations so far:
USB doesn't work. When I plug it in, it sounds and it charges, but it is not connected to my computer. The 'USB mode' options in settings are all greyed out. No obvious messages in logcat.
In TWRP it works fine, so it clearly is a ROM issue.
(Possible related?) Termux crashes with a OutOfBoundsError
Thanks for your effort keeping this ROM alive.

What phone and firmware? Works like a charm for me on OP3 and OOS 9.0.6 firmware.

USB works fine on my own device. As suggested by @Anghirrim - what firmware are you on?

How do I check for the firmware version? It's not under Settings -> Build Number, only the Android Version.
Solved the problem by switching the default USB action to 'MTP'. After that, it suddenly started working.
Still no clue about the Termux issue.

The OP of this OP3(T) firmware thread indicates to look at the file /system/vendor/firmware_mnt/verinfo/ver_info.txt

I had the same issue but just enabling USB-Debugging from the developer options fixed it. I was a bit surprised too and that shouldn't be normal I guess.

As indicated before, I do not experience such an issue with my own device, so I can't reproduce this issue.
This is actually fascinating, thank you!
How is the exact steps to install? I'm coming from another rom.. Please help.
1) Advanced Wipe >> flash fw >> flash rom
or
2) Flash fw >> Advanced wipe >> flash rom
Confused after see this thread and fw installation's thread linked above.

The above order does not matter, as the firmware is flashed to different partitions than those to be wiped.
EDIT:
If you have already 9.0.6 firmware, there is no need to flash it again.
this is just what I need for my old OP3. Running a degoogled 6T as daily and still need occasional apps that do not work w/o google. flashing without hesitation and reporting back.
EDIT: a question. can I flash twrp right back after flashing the rom? I know im giving up over the air updates, but im fine with that.
I am on LineageOS 17.1 for microG, unlocked bootloader, rooted with Magisk, 9.0.6 official firmware, but I would love to try this ROM.
Few questions, please:
- can I install modded firmware, because this sounds good: "The modem firmware contains some alipay* and soter* files used for Alipay and WeChatpay. Since these are suspect to be a privacy hazard, I've modified NON-HALOS.bin to not contain any of these files any more"
- this ROM can be rooted with Magisk 20.4 or newer?
- do I have to do "clean install", and finally
- is wiping internal sd card (pics, videos etc.) obligatory?
Thanks in advance
