Is there a way to remove the Google search on this phone?
Install a 3rd Party launcher. There are a few that are similar to the pixel launcher, blin Lawn chair. There are other ones like Nova Launcher and Action Launcher.

Action Launcher has a feature called 1-swipe. You can use it with third party launchers but you need active launcher installed. You also cant edit 1-swipe in the other launcher. Means you have to get into active launcher to edit. Is there a alternative to this? Like there must be an app like 1 swipe. See info if you dont know what it is.

Hey guys, now i really wanted the transparent google feed on nova launcher and i discovered a wierd way to do it but it's not permanent so hear it is :
1. Install pixel launcher and set it to default launcher
2. Install nova google companion app
3. Open nova launcher from pixel launcher
4. Swipe to left and it appears transparent but as long as you have pixel launcher as default launcher
So is there is a way to get while keeping nova launcher default or what ?
(Btw : I didn't test the above test on any other device so i don't know if it works on other devices)
I've tried almost anything I thought of, unfortunately couldn't get it using Nova as default
Hi all,
I would love the ability to be able to add a simple "All Apps" icon in the center of the dock like the old GEL launcher had. I know that Nova and Action Launcher can do this, but I like the barebones aspect of the Pixel launcher and would like to continue using that. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know there used to be an application in the play store that would add this shortcut to the pixel launcher last year, but that app appears to have disappeared. (I know there are some third party app launchers in the play store, but none of them are blazingly fast)
Only with launcher, sry mate

Best workaround I could find, which is not really perfect but hey see screenshot
Download Nova launcher but don't set it as default. On pixel launcher, add a widget -> Nova action -> app drawer
You may have some few times you come back through Nova homepage this way when pressing home. Give it a try your self.
If I have some time I could see if there's a better way to do it by properly calling the app drawer..
So -- you can make Nova as bare bones as you want to. Any particular reason why you don't want to use Nova, configured to look and feel just like the Pixel launcher? It seems like the best option for what you want.
I know it doesn't replace a button, but tapping the arrow above the dock takes you to app drawer. How do you feel about this?
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to build a new app by merging two or more prebuilt apps? For example, I really like Nova launcher. But I am using Microsoft launcher (formerly Arrow launcher) for it's feed feature. Is there a way in which I can insert the feed feature of Microsoft launcher in Nova launcher & use it as one launcher with the features of both Microsoft & Nova?
No, this is impossible.
Can you please tell me if there is an app that will allow me to use a mi launcher or arrow launcher like feed on my default launcher?
Hello. Is it possible to use nova launcher with standard OEM google clock + weather app? I really like the standard weather .thanks.
Yes, just add the "at a glance" widget to the homescreen. It's part of the stock set of widgets built into the phone.
The stock "at a glance" widget cannot be added to 3rd party launchers, it's part of the Pixel Launcher itself.
"Another widget" imitates the built-in one pretty nicely, though.
I'm using the Google At-a-Glance Widget with Nova Launcher. Just press 'n hold your home screen, choose Widgets, scroll down to Google, over to At-a-Glance, drag to your home screen, vuala! It's Google's very own At-a-Glance. No root, mod, hack, nothing...

That limitation was removed last year. I use it with 3rd party launchers all the time, including right now.

How? I own the Pixel 3 and I'm running Nova Launcher Prime (paid version). I don't have the "At a glance" widget under Widgets.
EDIT: I figured it out. The "At a glance" widget is part of the "Google" app (which I don't have installed), not the Pixel Launcher app.
I use Another Widget from play store on my Pixel 3 using Nova Launcher. It I customizable.
