General All the images uploaded on internal storage showing up with 0kb. - Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Whatever the images I'm uploading on to my galaxy watch 4 not showing up in my watch.
I tried EasyFireTool, BugJaeger, AnExplorer(File manager TV USB OTG) and nothing working for me. All I can see is that all the images having 0size like I showed in attachments. And I'm seeing them as unreadable empty images in album app.
I was messing with permissions of files in BugJaeger, at one point I'm able to edit execute permission of one file placed in download folder with BugJaeger and that image showed up in watch..I deleted it. So I'm trying to edit permissions of files but not working now.
Anyone faced this strange issue? can someone help me.
FYi I granted storage permission for all the required apps in Watch.

Are all permissions enabled in Wearables app?
Samsung is a nosey Parker when it comes to that.

[Q] Pictures albums sorting in gallery

Hello,
All my pictures on the SD card are well sorted into folders named by date or event name but in the gallery, they all show under "All pictures", no way to see the folders like I do in the gallery on my Galaxy S2 or Nexus S
Had to install a third party application for now but I'd rather use the standard gallery
Thanks for your help
Thought I'd reinstall the standard 3DGallery apk, deleted the HTC Album one, copied 3D gallery to system/app; set permissions and then rebooted but the app is not showing in my app list
Can you please tell me what to do ?
Thanks
I was going to say "HOW DID YOU GET ROOT???!1!" But then I saw you were the lucky person with S-Off... make sure permissions are RW-R--R--
Sent from my HTC Vision
I even extracted the gallery apk from my Galaxy SII but it won't show in the app list either =(
Could it be because of the QHD screen resolution ?
Edit :
Tried this method of yours , Flippy:

Then reboot"
All commands worked but still no app so I guess it's really a compatibilty issue =(
Have you tried just installing it?
Yes I did but it failed !
Just astonished noone is mad at this standard HTC application putting all the pictures in one folder only =)
Guess I'll stick to a third party app for the time being !
Mine shows set of pics in their respective folders.
You have to have all of the folders in the root directory of the SD in order for the Gallery app to pick them up separately. If they are all in DCIM they'll get lumped into All Pictures. Just put them in root, unmount and remount the SD and they'll show up.

not necessarily. I have all my pics from my previous phones in a folder called Pics & then there are subfolders for each phone. They all show up in the gallery as separate albums.
That Pics folder is in the root though isn't it? If it's DCIM I'd be very surprised as that's how I was trying it and they would not show up as separate folders in the gallery until I moved them out of DCIM and to root. Same solution, just a little different structure to it.
yes, on the root of the microsd card

when you are in gallery, press the menu button.
"show/hide albums" will pop up on the bottom.
from there you can pick and choose which folder will be shown in gallery.
you can uncheck all pictures...

[Q] Can't Find Media/Picture Files After Root

I have been at this for days. Googling for an answer, reading all the forums, and trying some of thier remedies to no avail. I rooted my T-mobile Galaxy S without any issues, however, now I can't access my stored wallpaper, notification or ringtones or pictures stored previously to root. I can see everything in thier respective folders when I open ES File Explorer. I tried to set up a separate media folder with sub folders(RINGTONES/NOTIFICATIONS) and copying and pasting the files to no avail. I have been resorting to reloading new ringtones/notificastions on Zedge and emailing the wallpapers and my photos to myself to get them to be recognized. When I open gallery there are no pictures, even though I see all my pictures in the picture file on sd card. I currently have ROM Manager, ROM Toolbox, Tegrack Overclock and Titanium Backup. Any help in directing me to fix this probably simple issue will be more than greatly appreciated. Also all my music shows up on my Poweramp App, but when changing a ringtone, and prompted for music file no music shows up. Thanks again. VN

I'm not familiar with the Galaxy S but it sounds like a permissions issue. I know on the Galaxy S 4G the user.group on files/folders on the sdcard are set to system.sdcard_rw & the file permissions are usually rwxrwxr-x.
Check the permissions and user.group ownership to see if they look correct.
When you start the phone, or remount the SD card are you getting the Media Scanner notification? Your phone may not be checking your SD card for media. If you're using poweramp, check the settings for library to make sure it's not disabling the built-in media scanner for the folders you have your files in.
You can also try going to Phone Settings - Applications - Manage - All - Media Storage, then clear the data, and reboot.
You can also try making a backup of your sd card onto your computer, then formatting it to fat32 and putting the files back to see if it'll read them again. I've had issues before where the phone wouldn't recognize it unless it was fat32.

What are mbstgo, mbstph, smssdk, sharesdk

What are these folders in /sdcard/:
mbstgo, mbstph, smssdk, sharesdk ?
I don't remember seeing them till recently. I googled them but did not find useful information. Malware?
Related to specific apps I guess (example for smssdk). I don't have them on my device.
Do you have files into these folders?
It seems that mbstgo is created by Wifi File Transfer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/folders-gift-myrecord-mbstgo-mbstph-t2918141
Thank you.
I don't have "wifi file transfer" or anything similar installed so I'm going to rename them and if nothing bad happens will delete them
Just worried they were some kind of system files that would cause android to go haywire on my phone.
Edit:
For some one else who may need to know, smssdk, sharesdk, cn.smssdk are from zmodo, an app to view cc wireless cameras that I recently installed.
Isn't there a way to view files and folders properties or something else in Android to see which app created them, or who controls them? Google is not an efficient way to find out.
Files in /sdcard are public to all user so you cannot know which folder belongs to which app.

Gallery app issue in EMUI

Hello All,
Since long time i facing some issue related to Gallery App. Below is the description.
On Memory Card there is path /Memory Card/Xender/images/abc.jpg. In Gallery it's showing correct path, in 'Other' section of Gallery there is folder named 'images' and in that abc.jpg is showing.
I move /Memory Card/Xender/images/abc.jpg to new location /Memory Card/Pictures/My/abc.jpg and deleted the folder /Memory Card/Xender and all it's content.
Now, when i open Gallery in 'Other' section i can still see folder named 'images' (which was in /Xender/ and i have already deleted it) and in that abc.jpg is still showing. However when i check properties/details of abc.jpg in Gallery it shows me correct path which is /Memory Card/Pictures/My/abc.jpg.
Though folder has been deleted and image file has been moved to different location, why Gallery is showing that folder and image in that folder.
To resolve this i have to clear data of Gallery App and due to which all highlights and discover gets deleted. Which is really sad..
Can someone please help me to resolve this issue or provide the workaround without losing any data.
Reboot dosen't help, also tried to clear Cache of Gallery App.

I can no longer find the media files that used to be in /storage/emulated/0/WhatsApp until Android 10. I've searched the following locations with no luck:

/storage/0BD9-A981/Android/data/com.whatsapp
/data/data/com.whatsapp
/data/user/0/com.whatsapp
/data/user_de/0/com.whatsapp
Any help is welcome. Thank you!

I just found the folder. But thanks anyway. Here's the location for those who also need it:
/storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp
Hi.. In Android 10, Whatsapp folder used to be in root folder (emulated/0), but in Android 11, it has moved to Android/media folder. The big problem it has is - everytime you wipe data to install a ROM, Whatsapp along with media needs to be backed up. Does someone know a workaround here so that WhatsApp has its folder in the root directory? Thanks.
I wouldn't call /sdcard (/storage/emulated/0) the root directory, but ok. Whether the whatsapp folder is placed directly in /sdcard or in /sdcard/Android/media doesn't make a difference as to whether you have to back it up, as it will be on the userdata partition in both cases.
how about my case, im using samsung android 11, and i clone whatsapp with the built-in app = dualapp, but the problem is i can't received a media file from other people like document, images, videos, etc. and cannot sending any files too from my device, i've checked the dualapp\android\media and there is no com.whatsapp folder inside. anyone can help me with this case?

I am in the same boat. I can no longer find the dual WhatsApp files, and that version is like a redhead stepchild, cannot add stickers, doesn't recognize file types, etc. All since Android 11 moved the dual app files "somewhere".

Same here, it happened this morning. I am having my exams and because of this I can't access my pdf notes anymore. All of this is so frustrating :/
Someone also got trouble with loading the "WhatsApp Images" Folder over a File Explorer?
When i wanna access it from several Apps like File Explorer or Backup Apps, it will load like endless, some minutes at least.
Have mor than 10 000 Pictures in it but before it loaded always immediately.
If i am in TWRP i can access the Folder but don't scroll down with the bar, just around 1/3 of the Page. Only if i scroll over the Display every File it will show me someting, otherwise it shows just Empty over some Files, like there would be a File Limitation?

Exactly the same here. Switched to Samsung android 11 3 weeks ago and since a few days Whatapp app backup (80mb) took an hour instead of less than 2 minutes. Quickly found out that WA folder had been moved and that it now takes 10-60 seconds to open WA images folder (9400 pics) instead of < 1sec at previous location. Yesterday I reinstalled WA and everything was placed back in the original folder (0/WhatsApp) and everything was fast again. But tonight (00:00) everything has been moved to Android/media/com.whatsapp and the backup of whatapp is already running for 50 minutes now. The status for a very long time is: "Prepairing google drive backup".
This is very frustrating and I don't understand how they can ruin this for so many people (see google store reviews).
I don't understand why one location is so much slower than another directory. Is exactly the same storage. Does it have to do with indexes? Who is going to offer a solution for this, Samsung or Whatsapp?
Google or WhatsApp have had to get a solution, but if the wan't?
Because i am using OnePlus, so we know that it shouldn't be a Mobile Phone Manufacturer issue.
Crazy that even the built in Backup won't work because i just use other ways like "FolderSync" or "Synology DS Cloud" Backup.
Even Built in File Explorer or such as "X-Plore" and whatever, won't load the Folder until there are gone some Minutes.
Can also just guess why, but Indexing should be done if it is.
Did also some other trys with a Folder which has just 5130 Pictures (copy of some Pictures).
Used "X-plore" to easy Move the Folder around.
- Move Picture Folder in "Android" Folder will work well but every of the 3 subfolder "data", "media", "obb" will get in trouble.
- Move Picture Folder into "data", it will take a longer Time, also "obb" Folder which is a kind faster.
- Move Picture into "media", it will moved immeaditly like usual at the Phone.
Access Picture Folder just under "Android" Folder it will work fine, but if you wanna Access this Folder under "data", "media" or "obb" you have to wait and enjoy the running circle symbol.
So is the question, what is different with all the subfolder under "Android", like they would have a Speed limit or additional encryption?
First you need to do a whole backup of your chat so that you can migrate the chat information from respectable whatsapp to Fouad Whatsapp.
I am also facing this problem yesterday when I upgrade my smartphone from android 10 to android 11. But after some research, I found the solution. Here are the complete details:
Whatsapp folder in android 11
For images
Android\media\com.whatsapp\WhatsApp\Media\WhatsApp Images
Guys, I'm using Samsung phone too and my WhatsApp media files is in a mess too since the location change a couple of months ago. Now I have media stores in these 2 folders, just like you guys:
1) Whatsapp/Media
2) Android/media/com.whatsapp/Whatsapp/Media (new location)
Now my issue is, I have photos back from year 2016. I can view it in Whatsapp chat (some of them can't locate anymore) but i can't find it in both the directories mentioned above. When I select 'view in gallery', and then i use MiXplorer to check the image location, it says: (refer to attached screenshots)
Path: content://com.whatsapp.provider.media/item (which i guess it is in obb folder)
How is this even possible? The image is not lost but it is not accessible by me anymore and I cant back it up. Due to this mess, I really want to tidy up my media files and move them into single location, presumably the new location but the missing files stop me from doing it. It's bugging me for a few months now

Today I've decided tou reinstall the sable APK when i uninstalled the beta App the whole folder form android/media also deletd and I've lost everything thing. I had backed up to google drive a few days ago now i could not found the backup. The backup i got is of Dec 2020.
Guys, try this path: <SD-CARD>/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp
I found all my whatsapp media there since android 11 upgrade (Samsung M31)
All my files keep on /sdcard/WhatsApp/Media even on Android 11.
Some solution here about the Access Time from the Images Folder?
When i Access (does not matter which File Explorer or Backup Tool) then i have to wait over 10 Minutes and most of them still won't show any pictures. Of Coursee i have over 10'000 Files in it but at the old Location it took me just a few seconds.

Any OS has problems to deal with folders that contains millions of files.
Certainly, you need to clean the folder.
