In my opinion I would just restore back to stock. Basically, using bugjager, make sure you have the stock rom downloaded and unzipped. Now you'll want to probably copy and paste these commands but you'll reboot your Stylus 5G into fastboot mode and once its connected to the second device with bugjager on it, start going down the list of flashing the partitions back... Here are commands you can copy and paste:
Code:
fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash vbmeta_system vbmeta_system.img
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
fastboot flash dsp dspso.bin
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.5
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.6
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.7
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.8
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.9
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.10
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.11
fastboot flash super super.img_sparsechunk.12
fastboot erase carrier
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase metadata
fastboot erase ddr
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
I basically spent a hour trying random things on bugjaegar I honestly have no ideal how I didn't brick this phone seriously but then I flashed vbmeta boot and vendor boot and restarted. It took a long time to start then a msg popped up for half a second and the phone rebooted and then I went thru the whole Google startup process and when I got there I rebooted back to bootloader and flashed the magisk patched img and so far everything seems to work
.. thanks for your help.. I'll probably go ahead and wipe everything and start over using your guide. Then go get everything back to how I had it before and and make multiple backups on at least 2 different micro sds then retry the to install ROM
No worries Just saw your post and figured I'd offer some help.. I personally love the bugjaeger app. I use it all the time... it definitely helps if I'm without a computer and got my tablet lol.. and my handy dandy USB-C to USB-C cable lol...

Can you say how you solved the problem? So other people can solve this problem without asking again.
I assume the problem was the root so you needed to go back to stock 4.4.2 with only bootloader unlocked and nothing else, then upgrade to 4.4.4 OTA and then reinstall the custom recovery and the root right?

Yes i backed to 4.4.2
steps :
1- you have to download your special motorola firmware from
PHP:
sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
2- you have to rename : system.img_sparsechunk.0 to system.img_sparsechunk1 & system.img_sparsechunk.1 to system.img_sparsechunk2
& system.img_sparsechunk.2 to system.img_sparsechunk3
3- you have to enter to fastboot mode on your phone
4- after downloading fastboot package you have to open a command and write the commands bellow :
PHP:
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot reboot
AND BOOM IT WORKS ..

Hello!
I did on my motorola g 2015 xt1541 a factory data reset, because of phone lagging. After 30 minutes of doing that, phone turned off and showed android logo on black background with text "erasing", after a few seconds, android logo was laying on the ground and there was text "error" and it looped, restarted->tried to erase->error. Then I tried to install stock rom, I did all the steps as mentioned here
http://www.gammerson.com/2015/08/how-to-flash-stock-firmware-of-moto-g-3rd-gen.html
with rom from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/index-moto-g-factory-firmware-images-t3169639
and everything went good till erase userdata, then I had to leave fastboot for a night and in the morning that appeared

First you need to check if you. Had lollipop or Marshmellow and the steps mentioned in the first link u posted are alot less as compare to what I did last night. There were additional commands on start. Also number is spnuk files were 7 and in your first link for garrison only 5 files . Let. Me see if I can find the link

have you done
fastboot oem lock
after rsd lite?
and youcan try flash only recovery (twrp) throught fastboot and then custom rom. it should resurrect.

Yea, I've spent over a week trying to get the original firmware to boot or even just get into cwm or twrp recovery. I can't even get it into the the stock recovery. It's just stuck at the Dual Core M screen. fastboot, rds, recovery options are available though.
I've tried the following without any luck:
- fastboot oem unlock before flashing all images, and keep bootloader unlocked
- fastboot oem unlock before flashing all images, and keep bootloader locked
- fastboot oem unlock, flash rds, fastboot oem lock
- fastboot oem unlock, flash rds, keep bootloader unlocked
- tried different recoveries, bigpart, non-bgipart, different version i could get hold of. I could never get into twrp or cwm
- tried all different kinds of images, rds files from MZ602 to MZ604
I think it is hard bricked. The only thing I have not tried is to flash rds MZ600 since it is no where to be found.
Get both XOOM sbf firmware file ( flashable with rsd) and stock firmware from Motorola (flashable with fastboot).
Extract motorola firmware into your laptop system
then, flash the sbf firmware with rsd file. on completion, boot your XOOM into fastboot mode
Apply the following command sequence
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase system
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
flashboot oem unlock
and reboot
Thanks will try it this weekend. The only difference I did from your instruction is I did not erase.

I'm using both MZ604_HWI69 firmware and VZW_MZ604_signed_HTJ85B.sbf. I flashed the sbf first then I used a script I made to flash the firmware.
Code:

fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase system
REM pause

fastboot oem unlock

Are you sure you are not flashng the wrong firmware on your Xoom? Get the MZ600 files and apply as I have outlined it. What I observed lately is that flashing sbf file through rsd is not enough to get back to stock, you only need it to get access to get fastboot running and bootloader. Once you are at this stage, you can switch to using fastboot to flash the original firmware from Motorola.
Take another look at the files you have have and if possible get a different version of Xoom file and test it sing the procedures.
I agree with you. The problem is, the MZ600 sbf is a unicorn. I'm still searching.. Thank you
===
If anyone has the following sbf file. I wouldreally appreciate it.

I successfully flashed my RETLA Moto G6 but im getting a security patch update notification from 2019 which is obviosuly older than the Stock ROM I flashed. If I try to install this update the update will fail and the phone start again normally. Is there any way to solve this and let the phone "know" the latest version is installed so that I dont get this notification anymore? thanks

You shouldn't downgrade then lock the bootloader.
You may brick it, if you manage to do it correctly, it will just try to reupdate.
