Hello everyone.I bought my S21+ last year, Nov 18, 2021. My phone was imported from the US with original model number G996U and the CSC is VZW. I live in the Philippines and have not been getting OTA updates for my phone. I just manually update it via Odin every 3 months.
I am now tired of not getting OTA updates and did my research and there are users here in xda who were really helpful that advised me to switch to G996U1 firmware with XAA CSC. I've already done that, however my service provider software version shows as XAA/XAA, XAA/VZW.
So my question is, will the VZW at the last part which is the carrier line id will cause me to still not get OTA updates? I have a locally bought SIM card and I don't have a VZW sim card. I know the latest update for G996U1 has not arrived yet but I'm thinking about this everyday. Please help me out guys, for my peace of mind.nd.

Share all info on the Nougat update for the Sprint Galaxy S6 Edge here.
Now that it's live for European sets, the Sprint variant should be close to getting the 7.0 update too.
Excited, but with no more development going on I'll probably remain stock as I've been for at least a year now. I have a splash screen I want to get rid of that has remained from an old ROM.
We can still get root with newer firmware, correct?
Canadian users on Telnus will receive Nougat on April 10th. I'm thinking we'll see it a day or two before then.. I seem to recall Marshmallow having that happen while I was reading articles looking for Marshmallow at the time but it's all speculation for now.
On second thought, the Galaxy S6 is almost 2 years old so they might wait until the 2nd or 3rd week of April so you'll buy an S8 before you get too comfortable with your S6.
It's here!

I have a Galaxy A51. It was a Spectrum phone but has been unlocked. I can only get calls and text but no data when I transfer my number over to it.
A guy on reddit, very helpful, told me it was the firmware. He was walking me through the process of flashing the firmware to stock so it would not be tied to any carrier.
And at the last second I pointed out to him that it was already upgraded to Android 11. We were about to use the version 10 software.
He tells me that Version 11 of stock firmware for U1 has not released yet and I need to wait. Version 11 for U for stock has already been released. When do you think I could expect the unknown (stock) firmware to be released for U1.
This is what I am talking about. I'm sure y'all are familar with what I am speaking of, way more than I am. This is for U1. He says I need to it say Unknown but for version 11.

My phone hasn't received updates for quite some time. It is normal? Can an update be forced by Odin? I have not seen the CSC on other pages or forums.

A couple of questions:
Is your phone rooted?
Is it carrier locked or unlocked?
The unlocked non-rooted got updated about a week ago to July security patch. My Verizon version got updated about a week before that. Both are currently on the latest version (AVF7).
No root and unlocked carrier.
Is that from Chile? I got the July update yesterday, I was also stuck on May update. Got it from samsung chile.

Which firmware should I flash with android 13
U is for the carrier variants in the US. U1 is for the factory unlocked version which you buy directly through Samsung. Even though unlocked, the U model will have a carrier logo when booting up. If you want true unlock, go for U1. but If you flash a note 20 (or other Samsung phones with Knox for that matter), you'll permanently blow an efuse which removes some phone features like Android Pay. I didn't think that the esim feature was one of those features but I'm not totally sure on that.
Samsung Galaxy S23 series get major update with camera improvements
The update is live in South East Asia and will arrive to more regions in the coming days. Samsung has begun seeding its S91xBXXU2AWF1 update for the Galaxy...

Anyone get this update yet? And if so notice any improvements?
I think that for our device is not ready yet. By the image it shows the device 911, our is 916...
Article says S23 series. First screenshot shows 918 which is the Ultra from my understanding.

I changed my CSC to THL (Thailand) to have call recording, so I get the update. Didn't noticed anything out of ordinary. Eventualy changed back to EUX becouse With THL can't use Google Pay (The banking applications work do). I am one of few with June security patch level in EU.
