App development behind a proxy over USB connectiom - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I have a laptop stuck behind a VPN so can only run apps configured through a proxy over USB. This means that the proxy is using a certificate not trusted by the device. I add the certificate to my device and web works fine, however the App fails to trust the CA of the proxy. I have tried using the network security config in manifest.xml and that still fails.
Any ideas on how I can get this to work as I need to test FIDO2 but it fails to verify the domain.

Hi there Oswald, this was development related. I am trying to find out how to develop an App behind a proxy.

Generic WinCE to POSIX flashing

Hi folks,
Jumping in the deep end here, but looks like a 'fun' excersise.
I've scored a box of old NAVMAN (EZY260LMT) GPS devices. (at like $1 a pop)
These are oooold - running Windows Embedded CE 6.0 - but I'm more interrested in them as as a side project.
Has BT, SD, battery & touch screen, so looking at what I can do with them.
Maybe BT 'speakers', maybe streamdeck/touchpanel or somthing like that
Is there a general/generic way of loading a Linux kernel/OS onto generic WinCE devices?
Hooking up via USB to a Linux (Ubuntu/Fedora) machine shows I can access the OS/filesystem on the NAND, and I'm guessing I can find the JTAG if I really need to (but pinouts seem fiddly)

thanks @Oswald Boelcke
I wasn't sure this was an Android-specific question as much as general hardware-hacking.
The section where originally posted was the closest I could find to what I guessed was the most relevant.
will follow in the new thread, thanks

That's fair. And if you're unhappy with the current location of your thread and want it to be moved to somewhere else e.g. General Q&A, just let me know. Alternatively, just report your thread via the report function, and the next available moderator will move it.

I was attempting to root my xperia z5 and successfully got to the stage of installing magisk through twrp but magisk was completely failing to install giving me error code 1 which nobody on this planet had a working solution for. I was tryinto flash it again when it spontaneously turned off half way through. Im not entirely sure what kind of degenerate ape made it so this happened but now when the phone boots shows the sony logo and states "The software update failed. Make sure your phone is connected to the computer and try again"
Xperia companion was likely coded by those same apes and cant reset the device because the bootloader is unlocked (which only makes it easier to reset lmao imagine being the amoeba that made xperia companion)
Just got a M1911 handgun and need something to shoot at. Is it possible to restore the phone or am I using it for target practice?

As far as I know, you can only edit a thread, not delete it. You could try reporting your thread's original post and ask if they can delete the thread.

@coockedcow Welcome to XDA! I hope you'll always get the support you require.
A user is not able to delete a thread or a post; you can only edit your posts. Likewise you are not able to close/lock a thread, this also requires a moderator. If you like one of your posts deleted or one of your threads close, please notify the moderators team via the report function. I've by the way moved this thread from forum "Samsung Galaxy A51 Guides, News, & Discussion" as your thread was not related to that device.
Please be also aware that we generally don't delete threads but only close them in order to avoid HTTP 404 errors after search engines have indexed XDA. Such errors provide a poor user experience that we want to avoid. The only exceptions to this rule are spams and duplicate threads; however, latter ones only immediately after they were created.

Need assistance with deleted log on samsung

OK I'm not sure whether it's right to post this here since I'm new.
Here goes.
I met a friend which gave me his number which I dialled but I accidentally deleted it before saving into contacts.
I'm on a samsung but since I deleted it within a few minutes after dialing I can't restore call logs since it did not get back up via sync.
I tried recovery softwares but the quick scan couldn't do anything. At the end of the day it needs root acess but I rather not trip knox.
Also since I dialed and it did not connect I can't retrieve it from my telco/service provider.
Any ideas?
