hey, it used to work perfectly in Lollipop.
do you experience the same thing?
does sony disable the call recording in marshmellow (or google) by default?
thanks.
UPDATE: skvalex's app has been updated to support z5 and now it works again, using WAV format !
No one has faced this problem?
I have the same problem.
I am using a z5 Compact
with Call Recorder Pro from Appliqato, With soundSource Voice Call.
it records sound when using SoundSource Voice Communication but that gives really bad sound quality. So it is not a usable option.

Try with Total Recall , a chinese site reported it working on Z5 MM without root
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.killermobile.totalrecall
skvalex's works fine here, see https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/faq?hl=en

Works fine w/o root here
Z5 Compact E5823 (Customized CE1) w/o root:
On 5.1.1 skvalex's Call Recorder was fine.
On 6.0 skvalex's Call Recorder records only my side, the voice of the other party is barely audible.
On 6.0 Total Recall records the other party much better but there is sometimes a warning that the recording was unsuccessful. Still testing if this app is stable.
(update: regardless the warnings the recordings were OK)
same issue here.
After the marshmallow update on the z5 premium, skvalex call recorder no longer functions properly.
Used to work perfectly fine without any root before the upgrade.

skvalex call recorder is working as expected here on z5p mm without root with default settings.

Christ, Skyvalex's app is a touch pricey!
I absolutely need Call Recorder on OP7 Pro... coming soon from Poland
jOnePlus Tools is still working?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.jroot3d.joneplustools
Any other solution?
Tks
this is a great question
Last time I checked, Pie disables the ability to record your conversations using the earpiece and microphone but still works using the speakerphone. I record my conversations as well using the S9 Plus on Oreo. When I upgraded to pie, the recording stopped. So I had to downgrade and find another solution to have the latest software and the abilityto record. Another way to record using the earpiece and microphone audio source is through unlocking your phone so I heard. I couldn't unlock my S9 Plus as it's the Snapdragon variant can't be unlocked for who knows what reason since it is my phone.
The play store updated its policy as of March 2019, forbids apps to record/gather the caller ID. This could be corrected by installing a version of the app before the policy took effect
Does the built in screen recorder capture call audio, I wonder... ?

Wow !!! what incredible idea !!!
I hope someone can try and tell us something good.
Maybe some mod or trick ...
I'm using Call Recorder from Skvalex, and also enabling built in call recording with the adb command worked also. But +1 for the Call Recorder app.

I tried Cube CR ... It works a bit, but mostly it doesn't record when a BT headset is connected ...
I think Skvalex also has the same problem.
Do you confirm enabled the native call recorder?
Is the ADB procedure the same as OP6T?
The OOS Magisk module works like a charm (GM1913 Op7Pro). Simply install, reboot, enable auto record in stock dialer app and done :good:
(Edit: only tested the phone earpiece/mic, no Bluetooth or other ways tested).

Have not yet tried bluetooth, but is not a problem for me, I use bluetooth very little. But will try bluetooth later.
I enabled (and tried) native call recording once, but not anymore.
Adb procedure was the same as op6t.

Be patient, it's my first OP.
You could explain, step by step, from the beginning what should I do?
Or some links for any tutorial.
Thank you very much.
Call Recorder from Skvalex here too.
BT recording works, but you can hear mostly your voice, and the remote party is more like a white noise. Also, I installed the version from official site, because play store version can't show numbers due Google's new policy.

Nothing to do for me with Skvalex... no recordings when my Jabra Storm connected. Just my voice.
Anyway I have enabled the Native call recorder, via ADB procedure. It works flawlessly...
Thanks to @hvihavai

This will also be coming as a toggle-able feature in an upcoming custom ROM.
It will basically enable to built in call recorder in the OnePlus phone app which you can then just enable in its settings.

Hopefully in the next few days.
I'm just a tester for the ROM but the good work is done by @mwilky. You can have a look over his ROM (Renovate ICE) in the OP6 and OP6T forums to get a sense of the types of things you can do with this specific ROM.
Fun times ahead!!

The problem with this and non root is that u have to run adb everytime unreboot. But it seems to worm perfect
Hi there,
Anyone can suggest a good call recorder app for the 5 II? My favourite ACR stopped working a while ago and instead of fixing it they released a new app, combined dialer and everything, but it doesn't work either so I need something to record my calls. Phone just updated to android 11, no root, stock firmware.
Thanks!
SzD
Hi guys,
I enjoyed the native call recording feature of my OnePlus 7 Pro (still official OOS without mod), activated only by using Magisk and jOnePlus Tools via ADB command.
In previous versions of OxygenOS it worked flawlessly, but after my official upgrade to OOS 12 it produces this echo sound, which the second person hears during call (he hears his own voice).
I tried to reinstall/reactivate it many times, but still this issue persists. My friend's OnePlus 7 Pro has got the very same issue after upgrading to OOS 12 and is not able to do anything against it either.
Does anyone of you face the same issue, please? Did anybody succeed to solve this, please?
Thanks for any comments!
Hey
Did you ever find a solution? Just got the OOS12 update now and having same problem.
Maybe will try another dialer (I couldn't get OnePlus dialer to work after downloading from somewhere).
Hi everyone,
Just realised Skvalex call recorder which worked fine until February update only records the silence now, no uplink/downlink. Using last version 3.5.4 + Magisk module.
He did say some time ago Google's new API rules would disable his recorder app soon.
Cube ACR is still working...... Not sure for how long.

Just tried Cube ACR and it also records nothing but silence on my phone. Maybe the issue is somewhere else in my case then... Anyone using skvalex ACR can confirm if it still works on your Pixel after February update please?
skvalex ACR not working as I tested with my pixel 7 pro

Thank you, this works well!
Skvalex ACR Alpha 3 is working on Pixel 5 with February update!
Skvalex works just fine for me, and I don't even have Magisk installed... No root, stock 100% , I just installed the APK and add on APK from the zip, and call recording works just fine for me, both ways.

Use default settings or did you change anything?
I have a new s23 ultra and when i got it i didnt get the acr to work. so I tried again today.
Installed Cube ACR. And it worked, but not great.
Installed ACR by Appliqato free (that I used to use) and it works great. I will get back with review.

Default settings, enabled device admin privileges, and accessibility
If Skvalex not working try turning off Google assistants Ok Google if you have it on. That worked for me. Calls were blank & only recording for a few seconds. Turning Google off has restored recording on both sides of the call.
