Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
It would happen a mess, the firmwares based on regions gor different baseband, modem etc... So i don't recommend you to flash a firmware from a different country.

Can I download? INDIAN firmware SM-S908E/INS/S908EXXU5CWEC and install it without losing my phone data? Pl help thanks in advance.

Flash the HOME CSC instead of regular CSC to retain userdata
The SM-S908U is the US carrier version. The SM-S908U1 is the US non-carrier version. The former gets updates from the respective carrier. The latter gets updates direct from Samsung.
