Question LineageOS nightly lineage-19.1-20221105 some low audio volumes - Motorola Moto G100 / Edge S

Hello,
I updated to the latest build of LineageOS for this device. Now, screen tap noises, lock noise and the battery noise that plays when you plug the device in to charge, have extremely low volumes. I mean I can't even boost them up without a special program that mods all the volumes not just those. Any way to change the ringer volume to be amplified as much as Media Volume is, and to boost up those other specified noises? I can boost the key tap noises for the keyboard as it has a special volume control for that but not the others I mentioned.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with this device?
Thanks

I also noticed on this build of LOS that the notification LED does not work to indicate charging so it doesn't turn on at all when the device is plugged in for charging. Any fixes? Maybe wait for a new build?
Thanks

I noticed that the 10/15/2022 build has
sm8250-common: overlay: Disable use of battery LED
Seems kind of weird

Volume app with settings similar to CyanogenMod

I would like to find an app with settings similar to the attenuation settings available in CyanogenMod. The settings I refer to allow you to change how much the volume is lowered for alerts/alarm/ring while headphones are plugged in. I plug in my Evo to a set of speakers at night because I sleep like the dead and need a very loud alarm to wake me up. I also like to listen to music while going to sleep. When headphones are plugged in the media volume affects all of the alerts and the alarm is not loud enough to wake me up. I am using the latest Fresh (4.1.1.0) because I like Sense and can't use Cyanogen due to battery issues (don't want to discuss that here) but I really liked the granular volume settings available. I haven't found an app on the market that will do this, at least not advertised, and am not opposed to paying for the functionality.

[Q] [CM] [4G] Headphone volume to loud, DSP-Manager not working?

Hi @ all,
I recently purchased the Moto G and installed (after testing all functions) the newest Cyanogen ROM. I'm quite happy with the overall performance of the device.
One problem is still annoying me though: The volume of every type (ringtone, in-call,...) of the headphone jack is much too loud, even on its lowest setting, since I'm using very high efficiency IEM's. The DSP-Manager doesn't appear to work (does not request root access, no change in volume when activated)
I've countered some parts of this issue with the following steps:
-The music volume is lowered by the Poweramp equalizer
-The volume of all custom ringtones, notifications and alarms is lowered by 15dB via Mp3Gain on my rig. This doesn't really help, because now the volume of all custom sounds is too low without the headphones. I barely get up in the morning, but it is definitely better than blowing out my eardrums.
So the question is: How can I activate the DSP-Manager? Or is there another way to solve this?
Thx a lot
EDIT: Solved the problem by increasing the overall volume steps to 45 via modification of the necessary .jar file via this great guide (http://chrisdube.com/increase-number-of-volume-steps-in-android/). DSP-MAnager works, but only with media volume.

volume fluctuates on its own

When listening to music the volume flucatues on it's own. Any fixes?

do you have adapt sound on?
Same here!
My volume level too fluctuates no matter what app I use and I do not have my Adapt Sound on. I don't know if it is because of the new update or not.
The reason the volume fluctuates down and up is because of the SoundAlive+ feature under Sounds and Notifications/Sound Quality and Effects/turn off SoundAlive+.
The settings for some reason only appear on the new OE2 release. At least for me it does.
Still Happens
Now see my sound alive was already turned off too and also the Adapt Sound was off too.

Odd Sound Settings Behavior

Hi - wanted to share my experience with the s7, particularly the sound (media) performance.
Got the S7 (duos) last week, rooted, and pretty much happy with the snappy device (and I like the camera much).
What I've noticed so far (and not happy with these) are: bluetooth connection issues (too many related posts here and everywhere else so I won't add my rant) and the sound settings not staying put.
Here's my sound settings experience -
1. If I set up (Settings/Sounds and Vibration/Sound Quality and effects) and tweak the settings to my liking - equalizer custom, surround on, concert hall on, and adapt sound personalized, the resulting output to my bluetooth and wired speakers are acceptable (lower volume than I prefer but I can manage)
2. That sound set up will mysteriously disappear although the settings do not change (i.e. the switches and equalizer settings are as I've set them) and the only way I get them back is to toggle the settings.
Very odd. I've never experienced this before (I've had a GS2, GS4, a note 8) and a Sony Z5 (selling).
Has anyone else experienced this and what was your fix?

I did not experience the same but there is another thing that is bothering me.
Sometimes Notification and System Volume gets changed with the same volume level whenever I change the Ringtone Volume level by pressing the volume buttons. it's like all these are stuck together.
I found that this issue is due to rooting the device. Some settings gets weird after rooting.
If i don't root, the phone works fine. No issues.
And if I increase the volume, we get a popup like "Listening at a high volume for a long time may damage your hearing". Upto this point the Sound will be minimum. If i increase just a bit more from that level, suddenly the Sound increases massively.
I have an issue with bluetooth as well. Not sure if it's related but I bluetooth Pandora through my truck, and I have my media volume turned all the way up so that I can just control it through the player installed in my vehicle. If I'm listening to music when I turn off my truck but leave Pandora open on my phone, paused of course, then start up the truck again the volume level is low as if it turns itself down to the "safe hearing level" setting, but when I go to raise the volume it tells me it's all the way up. This won't go away until Pandora moves on to the next song. It's kind of annoying because I don't want to blast my speakers when the song changes but I haven't found a solution. Maybe these are related because this only happens with bluetooth for me.
I think I may have had the problems before I rooted.
Anyone not rooted having similar issues on the sound settings changing?
(please, not don't post bluetooth issues here. There are many threads about that already)

LineageOS 17.1?

So according the the LineageOS website this phone officially supports 17.1, however there doesn't seem to be a thread anywhere for it. The only ones that exist are 16.0 and an unofficial 17.0.
Is there anyone out there who has installed LineageOS 17.1? If so, please let yourself be known. Were there any problems with installation or with the OS itself? Anything you'd think would help me before installation? This is going to be my first time installing LineageOS.
Just did it using the official guide. Updated to latest android 10 beforehand (Version WW-17.1810.2011.183). So far no bugs. Seen lots of people had problems with initial installation and all kinds of words threw around - but it was as smooth as butter for me!
Bugs.
Detrimental
Crashes that seem to happen when fiddling with audio settings; bluetooth seems to be a factor aswell. Can be fixed with a power button + volume down reset. The frequency of these seem to fluctuate; can be anywhere from 0-10 times per week. These crashes don't happen when a sim card isn't in the phone/when aeroplane mode is on.
Minor
The sound settings for this phone are a bit glitchy in general.
"Notification per day" shows - (negative) counts. e.g "-3 notifications per day".
Other
Depreciated
Altering call volume in settings only works when mono audio is turned on - Extremely loud with headphones, moderately quiet without. This? Call volume functions normally when on call. Fixed in one of the LOS nightly updates I guess?
Speaker volume is low in general? Don't think this is the case.
Volume levels aren't consistent? Don't think this is the case.
LineageOS camera app doesn't support 60FPS at all and there isn't a GCam that supports 60FPS while the camera is flipped. Workaround.
Very high pitched sound plays sometimes when using the audio jack to play sound. Pitch changes when I move the phone or wire of the headset. I think this only happens with my headphones that are using a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable.
Renaming files in the "Files" app require an app restart to show. Not a bug? If it is it's too minor to care about.
Brightness slider has once shown 0% (and it wasn't at 0%) when dragging down the notifications menu (the brightness wasn't actually affected). Too minor to care about and haven't noticed it again.
Volume slider has once shown 0% (and it wasn't at 0%) when adjusting volume (the volume wasn't actually affected). Too minor to care about and haven't noticed it again.
