I recently installed the Android 13 Arrow OS GSI and after trying it out I noticed that turning on battery saver would completely turn off my internet with the error code DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET.
Also my mobile internet is not working either, with the same error code as I get when battery saver is turned on.
Are Android 13 GSIs not stable enough? Or maybe it's an Arrow OS problem? Or does this happen to every GSI?

It is most likely a Arrow OS problem, on my phone (A127F U7), battery saver on pixel experience Android 13 works without turning off the internet.

Before I begin I just want to say that I have been using Android for a while and understand wakelocks etc. I have already made sure none of my apps are causing wake locks by uninstalling them but it has made no difference.
Here are my GSam screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/1Cp9z#0
As you can see, Android System and Android OS are the culprits that are draining my battery, but the phone isn't "awake" when they are draining it, so I am not quite sure what is happening. There is no wake-lock but there is a lot of CPU usage for some reason,
Please ignore the average times shown by GSam at the bottom, I get nowhere near 5hrs screen time, I reset the histories yesterday so its not yet calculated average properly yet.
I have tried - Stock COS11S, the latest COS 12.1 and also CyanogenMod 12.1 nightlies and the recent snapshot and they all exhibit this issue even with no apps installed. Is there a ROM out there that has no issues with this stuff?
Thanks!
Same problem. No idea the solution. No matter what battery app I use to try and tell me what is going on, it's always just listed as "android system" or "system" that is draining battery. I didn't have this on sultan's build so I guess it's back to that.
I dont want to give yo spoilers...
you can try every rom here, every kernel, every mod...
it really up to your personal use... you do this 3 simple things and like me will reach 5, 6 hours SOT.
disable lte and go for EDGE
restrict privacy guards things on apps: keep awake, auto start, wake up... on every app you install
use your social network on browsers... installed apps use background...
LineageOS is here!!!
The title is enough, I think,
I haven't tested it yet but.... the first LineageOS ROM for our beloved Photon appeared !
https://download.lineageos.org/xt897
I've been 2 days using this rom on my xt926 so far is good and fast
Thanks, do we have to 'clean-install' this?
clean install was safe.
You'll get a broken notification status bar eventually and you'll need this:

gapps package which removes CyanogenSetupWizard/LineageSetupWizard is broken and shouldn't be used.
There's no such issue with opengapps nano package which I use.
you can avoid wiping if you "hack" a bit.
I had only to defeat the check (adding the key to htmlviewer in the package.xml (or something like that)) and do a "pm grant com.android.systemui android.permission.READ_CONTACTS" via adb (to enable the logon screen).
Additionally, I did something like
for i in /data/app/*; do
pm install -r $i/base.apk
done
(could have small errors, is two weaks sine then ) to fix the other permissions problem (most with network status access)
It works apparently
Upgrade done almost flawlessly from LL resurrection remix to Lineage OS 13
Few apps had permission problems, i fixed it just restoring the app (app only, no data) using titanium backup.
Anyway I went back to RR given I like it more, and I can't see any real improvement on MM over LL
I am experiencing huge battery drain. Battery in idle last for about 8 hours. Even when phone was in airplane mode during night it fall from 100% to 75% during about 8 hours. Previously with Cyanogen I've lost maybe 3% during the night tops.
Battery stats does not shows any apps that goes wild. I've installed GSam Battery Monitor and it shows that battery is used mainly by kernel (~40%) and LineageOS (20-30%), but it was running only about half an hour. I will check tomorrow morning after airplain mode night, maybe something came out.

Have you checked if the CPU is entering deep sleep? My phone usually manages > 80% time in deep sleep. Of course that would depend on usage. Previous ROMs (nearly all) virtually never entered deep sleep. This one wallows in it.
If I leave it over night (clearing stats at the beginning) it gets very close to 100% I personally use CPU Spy, but there are many apps that would show you if you dont already have one.
I've installed CPU Spy, will see the stats after the night. I've also installed Greenify and I think battery consumption is better now, so I suspect one of my apps was preventing my phone from going to deep sleep.
According to CPU Spy my phone never goes to deep sleep when in airplane mode. I've checked this also with clean rom installed, without gapps or any other apps, just CPU Spy. I'm gonna open ticket in LineageOS JIRA.

so, when its not in airplane mode, it does go to sleep?
I just tested mine, and even with a ton of apps, Xposed, Viper, Magisk etc etc it still went to sleep quickly. This ROM for me wallows in deep sleep. Previous ROMs hardly visited deep sleep if at all.

Yes, the problem with battery drain when not in airplane mode seams to be fixed. It goes to deep sleep ~80% of the time when idle. I'm not sure what was the fix since there was update to LineageOS in between, and I was reflashing two times in the meantime, cleaning caches and restoring backup from recovery, so hard to say.

Sorry, reading my post I guess was not clear. My phone DOES go to deep sleep when in airplane mode. XT905
============ edit
oh, and almost forgot. I am using Pico Gapps, and turn off auto updates and notifications on play store updates.
Hello, it looks like I'm experiencing the same problem. Battery drain on my photo Q running the last lineage os 14.1 (android 7.1.2).
When on airplane mode the battery drain disappears (even if I can't consider this phone a battery beast).
It seems curious to me, I was imagining that in all these months the problem was corrected.
Do you guys have a suggestion? Many thanks in advance
The thing is that my phone seems to suffer from battery draining (when not on airplane mode) even when running sailfish OS (flashed over cyanogenmod 11).
Could then be possible that it has some kind of hardware problem connected to the gsm/radio part? Except for the battery consumption It works fine tough.
I have a Nokia 3 phone running Android 8.0
Ever since I got it about 5 months ago I changed the 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' setting to 'Only when plugged in' because it saves battery. It worked so far, the Wi-Fi would turn off when not using my phone and it would turn back on instantly again after pressing the power button.
But a few days ago when the Wi-Fi turned off and I pressed the power button to unlock my phone it wasn't turning on again anymore. This is when other weird things start to happen on the phone with the Wi-Fi off, for example when going to the Wi-Fi settings it would freeze for a few minutes, when I go to the battery usage settings and the storage settings pages it just shows a spinning circle and they don't show up. Also when I try to restart the phone when it's in this state it takes about 10 minutes to restart it.
The only way to turn the Wi-Fi back on is to go to the 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' setting, which would then freeze for a few minutes and then change it to 'Always'. When the Wi-Fi connects again the battery usage and storage settings pages work again.
I didn't install any new apps or change anything right before this started happening. I also tried doing a factory reset but I still have the same issue. Can anyone please help me with this?

This is unusual issue to me.
When you updated to 8.0? It's maybe 8.0 issue, i didn't liked how Oreo performs so i rolled back to Android 7.1.1 Nougat December Security Patch, in my opinion most stable Nokia stock ROM currently.
Maybe go to Android 7.1.1, but my advice is to wait for next update, Nokia may fix problem.

I updated to 8.0 when the first beta came out in February and it worked fine ever since then, until last week.
As the title says, which one do you guys think is better? For example battery life, features, etc. I tinkered with Havoc OS the other day, but after realising half the custom Havoc settings that were in 2.9 like custom doze were not present, I reflashed 2.9. I was expecting all that was in 2.9 plus more.
Now that OOS 10.0.1 has dropped, I wanted to see what that was like, but didn't want to flash, be disappointed and then have to reflash Havoc and set up each app all over again. I've had issues restoring stable TWRP backups, so I have given up and just start from scratch each time I reflash.
What features from each stand out to you and what SOT and standby drain %/h are you getting from both?
havoc 3.0 is better because new maintainer is skulshady he trying best to provides new updates in every 1/2 week there are some less tweak for now but getting added in new updates you can wait till the base os changes to oos 10 (dont know when)
if you dont want to install app from scratch try migrate app by baltiapps
i didnt check sot & idle drain so i cant say anything about it

How do you install it? I tried and it borked my phone.
Try to install 3.1 latest on 20-01-2020. Seems to be fine Rom. But OTG provision is not seen.
Does havoc os have working, smooth OOS gestures? Only thing stopping me from changing in the past was bad gestures. Main issues for me on 10.3.0 are Bluetooth connectivity, internet disconnects, and poor battery life.

No oos gesture yet but full screen gestures are there currently some minor bug otg doesn't work & display profile changes after every reboot
battery working great but deep sleep is 0% switching to other kernel like blu spark fix this
Just had to switch to OOS 10.3.0 from Havoc OS due to freezing/crashing with Android Auto. Tried all the fixes on the internet, but no luck. Was going to go back to 9.0.6, but decided to try stock and it has been working fine. Too bad, as I really like Havoc with some of the AOSP touches, and the capability to separately adjust notification sounds. Can't understand why OnePlus can't add this feature.

To be honest, other ROMs do have these options, you could try something else
Hi, I think I have a problem with my OnePlusOne. I have lineage os 16 but I see from BBS that it practically never goes into Deep sleep but there is no app that keeps it awake, it seems to be a kernel problem. Has anyone tried a stable #bacon kernel? I have the 3.4.113! automatic translation
