Is there a working modded gcam for the 7 Pro?
I want to be able to take pictures that don't look like someone ran them through the sharpening and saturation filters from an instagram knock-off app. I'm coming from the Pixel 2 XL, and the overprocessing of the Pixel 7 is so blatant.
No

Other works too but you need to setup the interface to a different device and obviously a few configuration steps.

Yeah, there's several 8.6's to choose from. I tried two or three and it wouldn't take a photo--nor would double-tapping near the shutter open to load a config file.

I´m using P7Pro_Skyking_v3.xml config. Is there a better working / newer one?
My ultra wide setting says 0.6 instead of 0.5 in the viewfinder.

I'm not happy with stock camera so i think about install GCam but i don't know which version is the best for OP6. I have OOS v.9.0.5 if it's important.

How I change the config to op6 and where I can fin it? I just install the apk
I'm still looking for the most stable for OP6. BTW Arnovas 1.5 and even 2.0 are buggy. But the Urnyx05 v4.5 is most stable for me so far, based on Gcam 6.1 which doesn't have time lapse in it. The new version of Urnyx05 based on Arnovas build works for timelapse but is buggy with potrait and photobooth.

Quick update, i just installed the latest Arnova V2.2 based on GCam 6.2, it's working like a charm, and has the Time Lapse feature, Dark Mode, ect.
No config needed. Just remember to uninstall the previous version first, it caused crashes for me when i just installed this without removing the old version.

Version Arnova's 6.2.030 v2.2: Gcam_6.2.030_Advanced_V2.2.190716.1800-Final
Hello everyone!
Just wanted to share this one with you:
bulkin043: MGC_6.2.030_Bulkin043_V5TR.apk from celsoazevedo's gcam port hub!
* remember to set the base model of the front cam to Nexus 6P,
* Front Cam working like charm, without any patches,
* Time Lapse, Night Sight, Slow Motion, Lens, Photobooth - all good!
* the only issue I am facing is that I cannot get video stabilisation to work - maybe it will be addressed in next update?
Tested on the newest CAF Pixel Experience (possibly the best ROM available), no root.
If you have any tips regarding the settings/configuration to squeeze the best of our whyreds, please let others know! :highfive:
And if someone would be able to add a download link in a second post it would be awesome!

You must always tweak the settings in every pixel3 cam mod.
For the lag on front cam make sure the frontcam is set to Nexus 6P also change the setting RAW Format to "RAW10 (default)"
This should remove the front lag.
I forget, also set the Using Sabre setting to "Off"

It's enough. But still the colors are not that accurate. U can change the rear camera model to pixel 2 xl, to tinker around.
I tried but filters doesn't work in portrait mode. Filters just work in camera mode.
Like in camera mode (hd off, hdr+enhanced, hdr on) filters will work.
But portrait mode filter doesn't work in (hd off, hdr+enhanced, hdr on).
Please solve this issue. Because some pictures are more detailed in filter.
Front cam colors need to be tunned
Good work

Thanks, this solved the freezing issue.
This bulkin version is producing more accurate color profile/ saturation than the san1ty build. Also the lens blur seems to be working normally in this.
Downside: it is more resource intensive than the san1ty build, but nowhere near the xtreme build level. Seems good.

Hello,
I am assuming that everyone knows the workaround for:
1. Gcam not opening (crashing) on some versions 7 .0 or 6.2.
2. Screen freeze while in Picture mode
3. Neutral colours.
These can be fixed through settings or developer settings . Still if someone needs help, I would be glad to help (provided camera version is compatiable or even partially compatible with RM5P).

Freeze happens once you open settings (in some versions).
Please do this (and this procedure will work on many other versions too)

Select "JPEG"
Even if it is JPEG-reselect it again and go back.
Worked?

So I ended up trying a couple more ports and, for the moment, Greatness 2.1.1 (Urnyx based) is working best for me overall.
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1346/
It has all of the rear lenses showing and working with proper toggle names already. Also, I found that all of the 7.4 builds ended up giving me really noisy results with the ultrawide lens, which doesn't seem to be an issue with 7.3 builds.
Here's my personal config if you want to try it.
So far I think gcam vastly improves the ultrawide lens in all shooting conditions. It also lets the 5x lens have a proper night mode. The stock camera app is really good imo for the main lens; not sure gcam adds much there yet. For some reason sabre is crashing on the 5x lens (not sure why, since its a Sony sensor). Hopefully that can be fixed, would definitely help zooming with gcam.

It's the xml file I attached to my previous post. To be honest though at this point I'd recommend switching over to the latest Wichaya 2.8.1 port; it's working even better imo.

There's a good xml by Dennis posted in the Mi 10/Pro/Ultra TG group for this port.

Thank u very much for your advise. Sorry but I'm a bit of noob here.
I do not see any .XML file. When I click on XML file on your previous post, it shows the details, No way I can save or download it as XML file.
When I click on the link that u shared, it prompted this message;
!! Configs from 2.7 (or older) may not work well with new versions. Use the new ones from this page or create your own config !!
Do I download the apk file onto my phone, and the xml file is in there?

Hmm, tbh ot sure why it won't let you download the file. Def recommend checking out the telegram group though or maybe try this link:
MOD EDIT: Link Removed
To load a config: after you download and install the Wichaya apk, open the app and go to Settings > Configs > Save and then just save any config name. That will create a GCam/Configs7 folder in your root storage with whatever you named the config xml saved in it. Then whenever you download an xml config for any port, you can just move it into that folder. Then, after you open the gcam app, the xml can be loaded by double tapping the black area around the shutter button.

Any chance you could post comparison pics of stock vs gcam, in day and low light?

Thanks for links. Would be great to see some low light pics. I wonder how the phone handles Gcam as in shutter lag after pressing the button, ability to "tap to focus", how fast it processes pictures, and if the HDR produces purple grain in some low light situations.
Would ofcourse think the gcam will only get better and better as development continues for this phone.
